My wife and I came to Quebec City for a visit. We live in the US, and we are both physicians. I experienced right flank SEVERE and sudden pain. I expected that a kidney stone is the culprit. Fortunately, we were staying 1.5 Km from this hospital which I found by Google. The reviews were concerning, but I have received some bad reviews myself and decided to go to the ER. My Experience was Phenomenally POSITIVE. The receptionist was pleasant, informative, professional and kind. She explained the charges for an American like me and offered me a much less expensive alternative [a walk in clinic at a different facility]. I was checked in promptly. The nurse did the intake and did a thorough job. Within 10 minutes the doctor came and saw me. He was personable, had great bedside manners, examined me, and listened to my concerns. The pain was intense. He explained that I needed a CT scan. Blood work was done. The person who placed the IV in my arm and drew my blood was fabulous. I received one dose of dilaudid intramuscularly. They also administered intravenous fluids. The CT was completed and everyone involved was professional and pleasant. The doctor returned to check on me and assured me that he will return once the CT results are complete. That he did and in a timely manner. A stone was detected. He discussed his recommendations, wrote me prescriptions, and gave me instructions. The checkout process was smooth and orderly and efficient. Please, note that I am a French non-speaker. The staff was very accommodating. I am surprised by the negative reviews. As a doctor who works in the US, the quality of care was superior and the cost is 30% of what I would have paid in the US of America.

To all emergency personnel Present during the holiday period This moment when all the viruses are in turmoil At the risk of being contaminated by this atmosphere Showing up with a smile and patience Always distributing your kindness Know that all your attentions Heals as much as medication That your smile and your empathy are a blessing That even those who can no longer do it have the vocation But that you are drowning under unacceptable conditions So you have my unwavering support for your actions. And when you take your eyes off sad For an impatient patient who has reached you Go recharge your batteries Treat yourself to a little treat But never let your heart Being destroyed by these devastating moments Thank you to all of you who did your best despite the workload.

(Translated by Google) Well it's true that when you show up in an emergency the sorting room is not closed so everyone hears the reason for the consultation. But otherwise it's been twice in two months that I have to go to the emergency room and I'm really surprised each time for the speed! I am a former patient of a hospital on the south shore of Montreal and waiting between 12 and 6 p.m. before leaving the emergency room is very very common even for the same kind of consultation, here 3-4 hours and we are done! In addition the staff is for the most part really nice!! Congratulations!!

I went on a trip to Quebec City and became very sick with a high fever. I went in and started talking with the nurse she could see that I wasn’t doing well so they brought me right to the back and in a gown. I got a urine sample and was in a bed after 30 minutes a nice nurse came by and helped me out and did blood work on me. Not even 1 hour later the doctor came in asked me numerous questions. Another 1 hour passed and I was given antibiotics and I was good to go. ( I also got 2 bags of IV ). Anyways great service very nice and lovely place. Thank you again !!

I had to leave after waiting for 6 hours, my 7 years old kid had fever for 3 days but it seems not important for the personnel in the hospital. Worst service ever!

A good place to go if you have a medical emergency, but a terrible place to order pizza from. All jokes aside, where do I get a good pizza around here?

Icy reception and incompetent secretary, we want to ask questions we don't even look at you...I dared to ask the receptionist if I was scheduled to meet the doctor soon for my mother because we had an appointment with a doctor. OMG, she answered me stupidly 🙄 in addition to telling me that the doctor may have asked you for money immediately. We don't have enough of waiting endless hours in the emergency room, we are answered with airs beasts at reception. But what a terrible health system we have in Quebec 😡 It's so distressing The service is very poor starting with an administrative agent a young blandinite👱‍♀️ with long angles💅...a bar waitress would say not like an agent at the hospital no respect and no politeness from this young person who is poorly educated...and also they have a Chinese doctor👩‍⚕️ that she thinks she is for whom both of them have no respect to send us they mistreated us like ony waste please treat yourself personally because we all deserve to be treated well and have quality service...if they are tired well they take a Brek....A message for all the people do not go to this terrible holy sacrament hospital because they don't have a course called ethics to their staff it's how well they treat people. too bad you don't have a camera to see how the doctors treat us in the consultation room. I hope that my message goes around your establishment....

Probably the best hospital in quebec city. Doc saw me alsmost immediately and gave me a bed. After 6 hrs was seen the same day by a neurologist which was a shocker to me as i thought it would be months to see a specialist. Was contacted for an eeg 1 month later. Very satisfied. Much better than CHUL which is a joke

So grateful to all the amazing staff at this hospital. From the receptionist who told me not to worry, to all the Trojan working staff on the 4th floor who looked after my father in his final days. My dad told me on the phone that they treated him so well. When I arrived they were so compassionate and kind to both of us. As a pharmacist in Ireland I am so impressed with the efficiency and level of empathy demonstrated by staff.

(Translated by Google) Congratulations and thanks to all the employees who welcomed or cared for me during day surgery. I only met courteous and attentive people, in all functions: admission secretary, stretcher-bearers, auxiliary nurses, nurses, anesthetist, surgeon... Thank you, therefore, to the whole team. That day, like the other days no doubt, she gave everything to provide good care...

I had an allergic reaction to shrimps and decided to go here rather than the chul. I loaded my symptoms on the translator. The doctor spoke to me in English and the nurses who spoke only french were amazingly polite and I still understood them based on their gestures. I received immediate attention and was monitored for two hours then released. If I went to the chul I’d wait for a day then get sent home stating I didn’t have an emergency.

I went to the emergency room at Saint-Sacrement hospital for a cat bite that occurred at my work. After going through triage around 9:00 p.m., I heard between the lines that the wait time was 6 hours or more despite an almost empty waiting room. It's an emergency so I tell myself it's normal. 🤷‍♀️ In the meantime, I chat with the people around me. To my left: an 82-year-old lady who arrived by ambulance at 7 p.m. after a heart attack. To my right: a man accompanying his wife who has a nasty cough that prevents her from breathing. At 2:00 a.m., the latter is called by the nurse who tells her that she will not be seen by the only doctor present in the emergency room that night because her case is not urgent enough. He actually tells her that no patients in the waiting room will be seen. I remind you that the lady on my left suffered a heart attack... For my part, fortunately I have a family doctor who cares about the safety of his patients and who agreed to see me in the clinic in a short time. My first and last visit to Saint-Sacrement Hospital.

Good morning, On January 22, I was accompanying a friend who was having an operation by DR Dirani, I spent a good part of the day walking around the hospital and outside the hospital. On the 6th floor I asked the receptionist a few questions about the progress of the operation etc... The person (Nadine) answered me with unparalleled professionalism. Same thing for DR Dirani who I met the next morning .I spoke outside the hospital with the person who managed parking (Patrick), a great employee, I saw him on several occasions helping people with their wheelchairs and helping people with their parking tickets even if it was not part of his job descriptions. The cleanliness of the premises was good if I consider the number of people circulating there. To the employees of the St-Sacrement hospital, A big thank you for your professionalism.

(Translated by Google) Speed and courtesy! my eye yeah! I spent 4:15 in the Emergency yesterday without even seeing a doctor! Arrogance and condescension of the nurses on duty, in 4 hours 15 minutes of waiting, only 2 patients saw a doctor, if it overflows so much in the emergency room, it is the lack of rigor and discipline of the staff, period. all sitting in an office telling each other stories about sleeping standing up, what a waste of time! Useless. Inutiles.

I arrived at 7:15 p.m. to treat an eye infection. In triage, I was classified as '5'. At 11:35 p.m., given that I had a corneal ulcer in the past and that I was worried about my eye, I dared to ask the receptionist if I was scheduled to meet the doctor soon. OMG, she told me that if I wasn't happy, I could leave 🙄 in addition to telling me that from midnight, there was only one doctor. We don't have enough of waiting endless hours in the emergency room, we are answered with stupid expressions at the reception. But what a terrible health system we have in Quebec 😡 It’s so sad 😡😢

My boyfriend went to the hospital this morning after having a car accident (he had refused the ambulance but after the adrenaline subsided he didn't feel well) he had a concussion and was vomiting and since he had had several in the past it could be dangerous. The nurse he saw was super nice but the doctor was very cold. He had to show photos of the accident because she didn't believe him that he had one and accused him of "faking a concussion" to get a doctor's note for missing class. He ultimately had to ask to see another doctor in order to receive proper treatment. Really ordinary situation...

Worst hospital I have ever been in, waiting time of over 10 hours for big cases, for more than 4 hours no one was called and when we are called we are made to wait another 3 hours in the room then that there is absolutely no one in the emergency room. The receptionist also leaves something to be desired. No one is forcing you to work.
