Major Beach is one of our favorites, not far from the city of Montreal. We came here last June 30, 2022 and it was perfect! Only few families around. We are family of 4 (kids: 5&7), paid 32$ for entrance and parking is free. You're not allowed to BBQ in the area, so bring your own food. But there was 1 cute food truck in the area and the owner was nice & courteous. It's a perfect beach (lake) for kids: fine sands, calm water and quite/relaxing (weekdays). You can bring your own beach umbrella/tent, your also allowed to use floaties. There were 2 lifeguard stations when we came. Not a long walk from parking to the beach. Picnic tables were around the trees. They also have a playground in the area. Changing room is open but need a little bit of renovation. There's a rental boats on the side of the lake too. Highly recommended!

One of the best beaches arround Montréal, no BBQ, no loud music, sandy beach, clear water, free parking. 12 $ for adult.

At the Plage Major it's not possible to pay with cash, nor Visa, nor Mastercard. If you're not Canadian, it's not possible to enter, since you need a special local card. We entered the river aside the parking lots with a paddle board, but there is no place where you can rest after this activity. At the camping you can hire paddle boards and pedal boats. Plage Tessier it's just for people living in Saint Agathe. Any other access to the lake seems to be private. Too exclusive, I didn't like it.

The beach itself is nice and clean. There's a nice spot to BBQ. Not to many people. I find it expensive. 80$ to enter for a little family is way too much for a beach.

Nice place for picnik, clean lake, lifeguard on duty. You can play beach volleyball, they have 3-4 fields.

Fun time at the beach. Not many people, clean grounds. There is a food truck on site as well as a playground for kids. Bathroom was dirty and out of toilet paper but otherwise, a great little beach to spend some time with the family.

Would love to tell you about the beach, however, we never made it past the entrance. They don’t take cash or credit cards, only debit, AND debit cards can’t be tied to Visa or Mastercard (which I don’t think will surprise you that ours were). It’s a shame cause the beach and lake LOOK nice.

It's a beautiful place, to go in family, friends or alone😍 have the services like bathrooms and showers, fud truck, area for kids, and you can rent equipment such as a kayak at affordable prices. If you go one time, I'm sure you will go back. 😉

I’m too jealous to write a review for this beach. Cause it was awesome. I hope if more people come they don’t downgrade this place. Live music , clean water, amazing view . I cannot tell more. See the videos and photos ❗️always check the weather otherwise you will experience what we did🤣

A lovely family getaway with sand, volleyball courts, a park and a fast food joint in Lac des Sables

Family friendly! Smokers have to exit the beach, and they clean up everyday after closing. It’s crowded but nice. Water is also mostly shallow so great for the kids.

If you are looking for some pickleball ball a great group is there in the AM. Very friendly.

First time I went to and I liked it. For a beach-boy like me I can say 4* is fair. Only concern for those bathers who don't like warm/cold water warm-up before entering.

Beautiful place, nice beach, clear water. Many small rocks when going into the water, best to bring water shoes. Toilets near by, overall very satisfied.

Nice beach but they should have it online that you can only pay by debit. I had to go back to the street to my car to get the card umf

Very nice spot for SUP. The Major bay section has a 5km/hr for motor boats. Easy access next to SUP rinse facility + parking at walking distance. Huge lake for a full day outing. Going back so site pics coming 👍 Still don't trust Kahuna board fin slot. High Risk of losing so always gaffer tape it so it can't slide. No locking device, major design flaw. Kahuna have been told.

I know it's not a Florida beach, but still...way too many people for the size of the beach and the current situation that is COVID. I still enjoyed it but wished I was a resident of St-Agathe because the resident beaches were empty 😕
