'My gosh, what a place' I think, every single time I remember this place. Why? - the worst smelling toilets I came across, everybody was wearing a mask or covering their noses and not because of the past pandemic - a very rude girl (brunette, shoulder hair, a bit stocky, 5'7 tall and mid '20s) who did not even listen to me when I asked her a simple question and asked me to join a queue to learn the answer to my question. What was her role there? Because door usher she was not. She made me think of some retarded and full of importance commies with her negative attitude. Not good. If you do not like your summer job, do not take such a job, missy. You bring nothing positive towards this institution.

The information center in Quebec City falls short in providing adequate accessibility options, despite its role in catering to a large number of tourists. While they did offer information about a pharmacy and a nearby bathroom, it was disappointing to find that it was not handicap accessible, as I have previously mentioned in a separate review. One would expect that a large building housing the city's information center would prioritize accessibility, but unfortunately, this was not the case. It is disheartening that they did not take the opportunity to provide a comprehensive list of accessible attractions and activities for visitors. Such a list would have been immensely helpful for individuals with mobility challenges, allowing them to fully enjoy their time in the city. Considering the significant tourism industry in Quebec City, which includes numerous cruise ships with thousands of passengers, it is surprising that accessibility seems to be overlooked. On our cruise ship alone, with nearly 4000 people, a large majority of the population being over 60 years old, it is evident that a significant portion of visitors would require assistance in getting around. It is essential for the city to recognize this demographic and make efforts to accommodate their needs. While it is understandable that the city's charm is maintained through its historical architecture and layout, it is crucial to strike a balance between preserving heritage and ensuring accessibility for all. A better effort needs to be made to include individuals who may not have the same mobility capabilities as others, allowing them to fully enjoy the city's offerings. The information center, being a central hub for tourists, could play a significant role in improving accessibility. They have the opportunity to provide detailed information on accessible locations and attractions, helping individuals with disabilities navigate the city more easily. By offering accessibility mapping or guides, they could alleviate the challenges faced by those with mobility issues, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience. In conclusion, the information center in Quebec City disappoints in terms of accessibility. The lack of a handicap accessible bathroom and the absence of a comprehensive list of accessible attractions highlight the need for improvement. With a large tourism industry and a significant number of visitors who may require assistance, it is crucial for the city and its information center to prioritize accessibility and make efforts to ensure that everyone can fully experience and appreciate the beauty of Quebec City.

Went in twice and was told they had to Google to find the answer. Point being I asked about walking trails and pathways in the city. I could have googled the results myself.

We happened upon the Centre Infotouriste by accident after arriving in Quebec City and were so glad we did. The associate who welcomed us was very helpful. He gave us a map of the city with notes he added while giving us an overview of the walkable attractions and points of interest. He recommended several good restaurants, bars, and tap rooms. I highly recommend you stop here when you visit Quebec!

SO helpful!! This is the best tourist information center ever! People are very nice and helpful. It ticket system, when you get there, you get ticket then your number will be called and talk to the staff at counter. you don't wait much. Moreover, there is a forein exchange place inside of the same floor. The gentleman is SO stylish and handsome you don't wanna miss him. ;)

Every minute that I called this location and spoke to Albert I got all the questions I needed answered. You would spend hours with me and then he would call back if I'm request as well. Amazing center! Great help. Made my trip enjoyable. Perfect resource for anyone that's looking for good information to get in and around Quebec City. I cannot emphasize enough how much patience he had to help me with all my questions and needs. He went above and beyond. I would give him a raise!!! Thank you Albert for making our stay amazing!! Naresh, first time traveler to QC.

We were misinformed with a bunch of things. Went a long way to see something which turned out we needed to book ahead etc so we just wasted our time.

This review is based on hours of operations alone. How can you close at 17:00 in the middle of tourist season?

First, the office does NOT open until 9 am EST. Our bus for an outdoor excursion was supposed to arrive at 9 AM but we couldn't find it. This office was not open before 9 AM so there was nowhere to ask since our outdoor company's office does not open until 9 am either!!! No tourist office should open after 9 am to begin with and certainly not during the week when they are hosting what they call the "world's largest winter carnival"! When you ask them where's the "Latin Quarter", they say "what"? Then, you say in French where's "les quartier du Latin", they say "what"? This place needs some work to do.... compare with other cities that do a phenomenal job. And, with more friendly, less-judgmental look by the agents at the desk would be more welcoming.

We booked the historical tour through quebec. Our Guide Francis (English pronounced of course ;-)) was very funny and also had a huge knowledge about the history. So the Tour was very good and i would recommend everyone to do it.
