Loved this place. Room was clean, cozy, comfortable bed, etc. Big bonus is a cappuccino/latte machine in the foyer. That alone could be a reason for me to come back ;-) Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location is amazing, almost right next to the Chateau de Frontenac and the waterfront. Happy to come back anytime!

I booked this hotel last minute to extend my stay in Quebec City and was extremely pleased. Besides being very conveniently located in the heart of Old Quebec and beside Terrace Dufferin and the Chateau Frontenac, the room was newly renovated and very clean, with all the amenities you need for a short stay. The staff at the front were very nice and helpful. I would definitely book to stay here again the next time I return.

What a gem! Very nice room (we had the romantic) in an amazing location. So close to everything, and so quiet and peaceful. I loved sipping coffee while watching the sun rise in the park across the street. The parking garage down the street worked perfectly for us. We can’t wait to go back!

We loved this little hotel just up the hill from the main roads of Old Town Quebec City. It's within easy walking distance of anything you want to do in Old Town, and also far enough away that it's supremely quiet. We were there on the final night of the Quebec Winter Carnaval, and even with all of that excitement going on, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Our room was plenty big for two, had a nice bathroom, and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, and sink. For the price, I can't recommend Hôtel Manoir Vieux-Quebec highly enough.

(Translated by Google) Although renovations were underway during our stay (August 2021) / and not all services were available either, we enjoyed staying in this Hotel very, very close to the Château Frontenac. Our room was well renovated and the customer service impeccable.

As others have said, the location cannot be bettered - on the same square as the Chateau Frontenac with a green park and view of the river to the front. However we were disappointed with our room. We had booked an apartment which supposedly sleeps 6 - for 2 people this would be a very comfortable room, I have no idea how you would fit 6 people in it unless they are all in bed. Our family of 4 felt very cramped. It’s just one room with two pull down double beds (one of which was broken although the staff did try to offer us alternatives because of this) in addition to the regular double. One pull down bed replaced the table and the other replaced the sofa. So with both dropped there was virtually nowhere to use in the room, especially with luggage. We have to say though that the shower in the room was fantastic. Other things to note: several very steep steps to access the property (essentially in old terraced houses), no food or laundry available on site. Staff were friendly but not on site overnight (emergency call number). Rooms were clean, bedding had some marks on it however, but not cleaned as standard during stay. Can ask for extra towels though. Apartment rooms are in the basement - meant we kept the blinds closed for entire stay as passers by could see our whole room. Did add to the claustrophobia. No street noise though. Hotel does not have parking but can pull up outside hotel to unload and there is a (tight) car park 50m from hotel for which a special access card can be provided.

👍We loved the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. My favorite is the rooftop terrace showing a beautiful view of the Chateau Frontenac. There's a coffee machine with to go cups in the main lobby that makes excellent cappuccinos. Parking is nearby and reasonable. Beds are comfortable and shower is amazing. Added bonus is the hot tub and gym. Our stay was very pleasant overall and would go back. 👎The room in the pictures on Booking.com for a Deluxe King room wasn't what we expected The pictures are based on the 2nd floor with the fancy windows..our room was awkward shaped. The pillows are so flat you can crumble them in a ball. The hot tub had too much chemicals and no circulation so 5 min max is all that can be tolerated. There's no breakfast or housekeeping during the stay due to COVID. Overall we had a nice time and would use this hotel again.

They placed us on the bottom floor with a loud party above us but rooms are very plain amd very overpriced. Needs decorating. Bed was very comfortable tjpugh. Heating was slow to respond so room would be cold when we wanted warmth and too hot when we wanted it cooler. Only two woman were nice and polite to us. The young man was not nice at all. He was at times insulting. The hotel is in a great location however. Very close to the chateaux, shops, restaurants.

The hotel has refreshingly modern interiors while maintaining the charming heritage on its exterior. It’s location just beside Chateau Frontenac, Dufferin Terrace and the Planes of Abraham makes it a very good choice. It’s cheaper than other hotels around it. It would have been absolutely perfect if some parking space could have been arranged. The parking lot behind the building was compromised to build additional rooms and parking is not permitted on the streets in front of it. You’ll have to park at the Central hotel de ville parkade and walk your way up a couple of streets. Not much to complain about it since you’ll have to walk around anyway. I loved the generosity of the staff, specially the guy at the reception. Note to management: he’s a gem, don’t lose him.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Manoir Vieux. I had sent an email before our arrival and received a helpful and prompt reply. The young man who checked us in was especially helpful in guiding us in how to unload our luggage at a rear door to avoid the front steps. He also gave us very detailed directions on where to park and how to get there. The parking garage was close by and convenient. The hotel is an ideal combination of being in a historic building but with a modern interior, an elevator, and comfortable rooms. We had a view of the park across the street. The hotel is located in a convenient but quiet location. The staff at the reception desk was pleasant and helpful. This hotel is an excellent place to stay for a visit to Old Quebec City!

One of the most disappointing experience I had in a hotel! A hotel that claims to have the best location (it is but a lot of others do in Old Quebec) offers little services! No housekeeping for the 2 nights we r staying, breakfast was supposed to start at 8, today we r informed it’s later without prior notice, staff at reception who r kind but no experience and can’t help. The worst of it all, they gave us a room on the ground floor with no view, and facing a backend of another building, at night there was a fight outside and the shouting and screaming were so loud we couldn’t sleep! We tell reception the next day (oh forgot to mention that reception closes between 10pm and 8am! And no staff in hotel overnight!!!) they said that they can’t help! We paid a very high price per night to get this

LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY: AMAZING LOCATION & TRICKY ENTRANCE This is a charming, lovely, hotel with a great location. It is near a quaint park, right near the famous Fairmount. It is extremely close to the tourist center and major landmarks in the upper town. However, it has steep steps up to the entrance, which could pose a problem for the elderly or handicapped people. The rooms are lovely and clean and modern. STAFF - SHARON R. IS THE BEST All the staff were very nice. For the most part they are very receptive. I want to give a tremendous shout out to one of the part-time workers, Sharon R. Sharon went above and beyond to try to make our stay the best it could be. She brought us hotel fresh towels right out of the dryer and new soap. We've never met such a lovely and attentive employee like Sharon, who truly wanted to help make our stay the best. ISSUES - ASKED FOR ROOM CLEANING, NEVER DELIVERED PLEASE NOTE: As Sharon was part-time, she was not present for the following. Because are our stay was quite long (we stayed 7 nights), when we checked-in we were told that we could ask for our room to be cleaned within a couple of days. We made sure to notify the reception on three separate occasions to change our linens and empty the garbage (and each time they seemed to make notes on the computer). Despite all of our attempts, they were still unable to deliver. I believe this could be because of short staffing or miscommunication.

Small boutique hotel right in downtown QC. Excellent location within walking distance to all of the major QC sites which was great. Really the highlight of the property. The hotel was a little light on amenities. Highlights: They offer parking at a nearby garage which was very convenient. The lounge was a great public space to hang and play board games, etc. Lowlights: Breakfast was $22 CAD and not really worth it given some of the great cafes nearby but the coffee was pretty good. They did have a spa which was nice but it closes pretty early (9pm) Biggest gripe was the room. We booked an apartment that slept 6 in one queen bed and two Murphy queen beds. While technically it slept 6, there really wasn’t any room for anything else- either to hang out or keep your stuff, which in the winter is a lot. The other big issue (which might seem minor) was our room had no carpeting! Only vinyl floors which presented no soft surfaces to walk on. That means every pebble, or piece of salt, or wet footprint from the spa or shower just sat there. It made walking around the room unpleasant. Not sure why no carpeting in the rooms since they had them in the lounge and I hope they consider adding them in the future.

Beautiful place inside and out. Love the newly renovated and modern interiors in contrast with the centuries old exterior. Staff was great!! Heidy was very helpful and the person who took over after she left was equally amazing sorry I forgot to get the name.

The location was perfect. Right next to the Frontenac and the Dufferin Terrace. We were able to walk right out of the hotel at 10pm and watch the fireworks that are shot off on the St. Lawrence throughout August. The room was a perfect size for my husband and me. Both the room and bathroom were clean. And the design of the bathroom was lovely. The rooftop terrace was so relaxing and a great place to sip the free coffee from the downstairs lobby. The service was great and it didn't bother us that there was no overnight staff. There is no restaurant but they offer discounts at a few surrounding restaurants. Overall, a lovely, relaxing stay so five stars it is!

This hotel was perfect! The location was just right. Not too close to all the tourists, but very well within walking distance. Right next to the Frontenac and in front of a beautiful park with the promenade withing a stone's throw. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very clean. We extended our stay by one night and changed rooms and we were pleased with both. The staff was very professional and friendly. Sam was extremely helpful one day when I needed help. But, they were all very nice. Will definitely stay here when I come back.

Great location for visiting old Quebec. Room is really clean. Only thing is you need to make arrangement for late check in. Luckily we got a hold of a staff for our late check in and she was super nice. Service was great! You feel very welcomed. The staff showed us the map and gave us some tips for a 1.5 day trip in Quebec City. Super friendly staff! Great place to stay if you are visiting old Quebec City!

We had a nice stay, but a few disappointments. The location was excellent with a short walk to Dufferin Terrace and both the upper and lower city. Our room was not as clean as we had hoped finding some confetti under the bed and in the corner. The view was not of Frontenac, but of the park in front of the building. The roof top sitting area was one of the draws, but unfortunately on day 2 it was locked and the staff for the day didn't have the key.

Hotel is in a great location, steps away from the Chateau Frontenac but without the huge price tag. The rooms are tiny but modern and clean. We checked in late and they had our key waiting in a lock box. There is coffee in the room and a fridge. There is no breakfast or on-site restaurant but there are many places close by. I think this hotel is a good deal for the location. It's just steps away from many tourist spots. There is a gym and the people at the front are polite if not overly friendly.

By the arrival we received an unacceptable room on the ground floor - then received a room on the 2nd floor but we had to pay 20CAD for an upgrate which is ridiculous since no chance from the room set up. It is a shame that for a two day stay is no room service in the kind of cleaning and changing towels which is not listed in the terms and conditions. We asked for a final invoice which the manager could not hand it out and has told he will call within an hour which has not taken place until today (2weeks later!). There is a lot of room for improvement with the leadership and service!

Nice, but overpriced: you’re paying for location. We paid $390 CAD in early October for a room with king-sized bed overlooking the park/waterfront. Nice, but the room and bathroom were small. (Hit my shin on the bed frame within minutes of entering...) The finishings were not so deluxe to account for it. Also, parking is not easy.

This is an interesting hotel. The location is great, adjacent to the Fairmont facing the river. The rooms, while pretty small, are exceptionally clean and well appointed. Now the not so great stuff - there is a tiny lobby, and the front desk is only staffed til 9pm, so if you are arriving late (like I did) you HAVE to make arrangements ahead of time with them to get in. Luckily they have a lockbox you can access to retrieve your key, but you have to set it up in advance. You will be unable to get into your room otherwise. There is no room service, and only a snack vending machine that takes coins only in the basement, no other place to eat nearby that stays open past 8 pm or so. Finally, when I was there their breakfast Cafe in the basement was closed. Which was a bit of a bummer.

I regret my decision to trust the decent reviews here from the first moment I booked - they had such a sketchy system in place that my bank actually locked my card and notified me of a fraud warning. The service was horrible/there was never anyone around. When there were people around, they were just teenagers with their friends chatting around the front desk and did not even say hello. I saw one staff person blow their nose in their hand while placing cups out next to the espresso machine..."Late" check-in is after 9pm, and they just hid my room key under the front mat for anyone to have (the front mat which already had a corner turned up and was VERY dirty and soaked from muddy boots). The pillow covers, sheets, and carpets had stains on them, and for some reason, the floors throughout the building were constantly soaked. All amenities were unavailable including simple coffee, and they asked us to take our own trash out...There were so many more issues; it was so overwhelming and not worth it! I can say there is a cheap parking garage practically right next door, so that was a plus, and it's right above the toboggan run.

Cute place in the old Quebec city area. In the middle of everything and so near with only a minute to the Dufferin Terrace which is just above the Petit Champlain! The room is not small but a little cold in the bathroom. Reception only work from 8AM to 9PM. Got elevator which is good! Was afriad there might not be one because of the old building it is on the appearance. There are few steep steps in the front door if you bring the big baggage beware! Oh and it is very beautiful when it snow here!

I would definitely stay at this hotel much longer next time! And the reception was very helpful and nice!;) He stayed most of the time at the front desk to help visitors, and I really appreciated it! (Thanks Miro😊) If you have a plan to visit Toronto, please be my guest then:) @_luuuuvaa

Clean, nice hotel, with an elevator. But it was out of service for half the day we were there. Difficult for my elderly mom. Nicely located hotel, but do note, it,s on a bit of a hill. For my mom, it was a bit tough walking back to hotel after an outing. I really liked the hotel myself.

Very nice hotel and very clean rooms. The view was spectacular and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place to stay, when visiting Quebec city. It also close to many restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel.

Our room was nice. Perfect size for 2 people. I found the stairs difficult to go in and out of the lobby. I was a bit disappointed that our room was not cleaned daily. We were there for 4 nights.

The hotel is very decent for the price. we got 2 rooms: one was great 8/10 was 2 double bads on the second floor. the 2nd room was 5/10 it was 3 double bads and the room was really fine.. but in was (-1) floor so we had no light in, and feel very.. close.. we didn't like it just because of the floor of the room.

It was extremely clean, comfortable and the location was spot on! The staff are so friendly and helpful, definitely one of the best Hotels my family and I have stayed in. Booking there again. Thank You Hotel Manoir Vieux-Quebec!

The good: The location is very favorable. The room was clean and modern. The bad: Small room, oddly configured, literally could not open the door fully without colliding with a chair. Batteries in TV remote dead. Parking clutzy. No breakfast. Overall adequate.

Perfect location in Old Quebec City. Very comfortable room with a huge bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The espresso machine in the lobby and the fridge full of breakfast snacks were really appreciated. (Note: there is an elevator in the hotel - however, there are about 10 steep steps going up from the sidewalk to the hotel.)
