Was very happy to visit this place and see how the island was settled. I was able to see where my original ancestors that came to North America had land because they have assigned historical information to modern day addresses. They had extensive history on my family lines and was able to purchase printed out copies. It cost $5 a piece to come in and the copies were not too expensive. If you have family history in Quebec, this is a good place to start as many original settlers began life here.

Charming park with gorgeous view, various flowers and trees, small gardens, and plaques, tributes, and historic information about the first settling families on Île d'Orléans. There is also a little museum to visit for a small fee. Gorgeous church!

Beautiful park along the drive around the island. Lots of space to let your kids run around or to relax. History of ancestors of the island. And right next to a delicious microbrewery.

If you're visiting île d'Orléans ancestors park is a must visit. We stopped here to visit the church but then discovered the park which is such a well maintained and beautiful place. The views of the city from here are great.

We initially stopped here for parking for a nearby food truck, but we opted to stroll the park area and were very delighted to have done that. Nice park, well maintained and great view of the river. It was unfortunate we didn't go into the main building, but didn't think we could with the renovations going on. Was fun to find my wives family name on the plaque. Will have to see if we can get additional information on her history online as a drive back would be quite long.

Very nice place but very disappointed with our visit. The place is shut down for renovations. Would have been nice to know before we wasted our gas and time heading over

This park was a great stop on the island and a great place to walk around and take in the history. Although most of the information is in French, there is some in English as well for those who do not understand.

This is where my family (ancesters) started life in New France. Just a gorgeous place to visit and learn.

Jewel of Ile d’Orleans and awesome spot to see the sunset, free of charge! We were going to the observation tower but ran out of time. As the sun was setting we pulled into the parking lot of St-Famille church and discovered this nice little park behind it. It was absolutely beautiful! Well maintained lawns and flower beds, sculpture in the middle of the garden and a pavilion overlooking the river. So peaceful and beautiful!

An amazing placec- à tribute to the ancestors of the inhabitants of the island and their extended North American families.

😠 I didn’t come to this place but I had the misfortune to pick up a bottle of Sainte-Famille Marquette Reserve in a small grocery in Quebec City. It was literally undrinkable, with some really horrifying sediment. We actually had to pour it down the sink, and I ain’t fussy. What a waste of money. Avoi...

👍👍 We weren't expecting anything when we went to visit the Drouin house, but we fell under the spell of this authentic house of yesteryear. This is mainly due to our experienced guide in history and the exceptional restoration of this house. And to believe that someone still lived there in the 1980s! N...
