I never thought I'd love a persian/indian resto kasi I've been to many different persian but everything that I tried was ok. I was a little hesitant to go here at first coz we were looking for a place to eat lang then we saw this place, there were a few people so I thought "maybe the food here is bad coz no one is eating here" but boy I was wrong, people started coming in right after shopping. Women with their many louis vuitton paper bags started coming in with their fam and all. After a few minutes, resto was full. Then, they gave us our food and OMG. Everything is superb. Their meat is tender, lamb has no after taste and their bread is addicting. I loved it that I came back here after 2 months and I still feel the same. I still love it. I had foodgasm with the lamb. Satisfyingly good. :) Remember what they say, don't judge the book by its cover.

OK. I'm sitting at this restaurant while eating the food pictured. Asked for additional sauce and was told additional charge of 80 peso. You can see it would not be such a big deal to give another sauce. What a greedy restaurant. Service is not so good and food not that good. Stear clear of this restaurant and do not choose to eat in this place.

I had dinner here with my colleague yesterday and today. The meats are deliciously good and juicy. The rice is fluffy and fragrant. The atmosphere makes me feel like I am in the middle eastern country, enjoying the good food that is being served. Overall, I will come here the next time I am back to the Philippines.

Poor all round. Whilst we were seated straight away the staff didn't seem to acknowledge us and we had to wave our hands in a very quiet resaurant to get their attention. After placing our order we still waited 15 mins before our drinks were brought to our table. Eventually when the food came it was lacklustre with so much ghee/oil I was worried for for our health. Seriously the curry was rubbish so avoid if going and try something else. The final blow was the bill with 10% service charge which we felt was way too much when the service was poor. Wish we never went.

All the dish that we ordered were DELICIOUS. Fast service and friendly staff.

If you're in the mood to spend some $$$ on good quality Persian food, this is the place to go! Try their different variety of Kababs. So soft and tender..! As a Persian I give this place a 5 star! Feels like my hometown!

Don't go if you are alone. I admit I'm a slow eater and I told the wait staff I was going to the ladies. When I returned to my table my half eaten meal and drink , everything had been cleared away. They obviously wanted me away. Very dissapointing. But ! There are so many other restaurants in Makati so won't need to go there again.

Good Serving size . Easy to locate. It’s one of the best kebab spot in the Philppines🤩. I ordered a take out On time they put they salad in a paper box with foil and the kebab was just covered with cling wrap at the top😫.The whole thing was dripping💦 by the time I got home . I hope they improve on their packaging.. It’s a shame for such a delicious food😋. The owner of this restaurant is very friendly and sometimes sits with customers💪🏿😄.

Solid food though I prefer middle eastern food flavour to be stronger, but there is a variety of option to choose from. You can never go wrong as the ambiance is top tier

Zero customer service. We were basically told you cannot choose where you want to seat , when there are not a lot of customers but us and a few people,They rather ushered us to somewhere else. By unfriendly staff with zero investment of the customers patronizing the business. I think the owner should be aware of how a paying customer was treated. So we took our business somewhere else we are appreciated.

It used to be our go to place here in makati, I was a bit disappointed the service has gone down taste is still there but prive jas gone bit up and quality and quantity a bit down, our sauce was really watery, Its time to try other halal restaurants around.

I don’t think I’ll eat indoors ever again. Even after the pandemic has passed. Or maybe only occasionally. I’m happy that there are restaurants like Gilak that has ample outdoor seating.

The food was great and really savory. Love the humus platter and the kebabs. Though pricing is a bit expensive compared to other places. I wanted to give 5-stars but the service was really slow. It took them 45mins to serve the appetizers. Then another 15mins for the rest. Glad I had my brother with me to keep me company. I will change my rating once I go back and visit the place again with friends, I'll keep u all posted.

Ordered a take away for dinner. Food was very tasty and the quantity was very good. Value for money. Place is usually crowded in evening hours. For the first timers it is just above starbucks.

The food here is good and the ambience is great!But Im giving it 1 star.During our visit(off peak hours) we witnessed a waiter and a waitress arguing on something to the point of almost hurting each other physically. Very disappointing for such unprofessional manner of the servers. Aside from that, lack of initiative as if these waiters and waitresses does not have a professional trainings. We have to ask for table napkin halfway during our mealtime. I have to shout for a water refill because the staff are so unattentive! all of them are busy arranging utensils and nobody seemed to bother to check on the customers. But we noticed a slight change of attitude of the servers when the manager/owner ( not really sure though) arrived. Pity for that kind of work ethics.

Service and food was all amazing, really authentic flavours. Maybe a little slow but we asked for appetisers and mains to be all brought out together so that could be the reason. Very calm vibe with really tasty meat and the dips were amazing, really made me miss home. Staff very attentive and friendly. It is a little on the pricey side but with limited halal restaurants in the area, definitely worth it.

Nice outdoor seating! Their mix grill is great - probably the best thing on the menu. The Curries are mediocre. Not the best. But the Naan bread is done correct. The staff are not super attentive. Overall good place to go for good kebabs/mix grill and saffron rice

I consider this restaurant to be one of the best restaurants in the Philippines that serves middle eastern cuisine. Eating here always puts a smile to my face as I can taste the subtle nuances of the spices used on the meats and vegetables. I would call it a symphony of flavours as the spices they use on their food as well as how they cook these give everything a different flavour dimension which makes them a pleasure to eat.

This is our favourite Mediterranean restaurant in Manila. The food is guaranteed to be delicious, and the staff are great. Their meat samosa's are great, the mixed kebab with lamb and chicken is to die for (nicely charred on the outside but succulent inside), and a healthy fattoush salad makes it feel less sinful. They have THE best garlic dipping sauce we have ever found - no one else's compares. We just wish they would re-open a branch in Alabang!!!!

Since this was OUR first time to dine-in in this kind of resto i cannot give a 5star about on food bcoz i haven't got any experience in other resto like this... So, i have no gauge of comparison, But other than that, i gave 5star in my whole experience about this resto

I like the food we ordered, especially the lamb kofta shawarma and the chelou sultani kebab. But service was terrible. Food came out an hour late, with staff and supervisor giving different excuses.

The ambience gives you a Turkish vibe. It's a halal restaurant and the service is really good. You can opt to dine inside or outside the restaurant. It also has a nice view of the mall's garden. The beef briyani rice is decent. The beef can be more tender and the rice is a bit dry to my liking. Adding some garlic sauce will give the dish some kick. The chicken shawarma rice is also decent. The ratio for the chicken and vegetables is good. Not too much sauces in the shawarma.

It's a tradition between my friend and i to come here to eat their grilled shrimp in yogurt sauce. This is the most unique and best dish here. My friend, who's an Arab said this is not a dish he can eat anywhere in the world.

I always love Persian / Mediterranean food and Gilak by Hossein by far is 1 of the good restaurants.

This is authentic Persian dish, since I was in iran before the sabzi taste same like in iran, but less flavour. Some of our orders were missing but they added the bill and I asked them to remove it took awhile to do so. Overall, it’s bit expensive compare to sabsi in iran + 10% service which’s incredibly expensive.

mains took some time due to plenty of customers, but when the food came. It was great! 👍

Food is not worthy for the price. We ordered lamb kabab and it turn out not even beef nor lamb.

I have been to this place for a couple of times and I must say that the food tastes authentically Persian. We tried their mixed Kabob and it was well prepared.The only thing was that the rice was undercooked. The restaurant is a bit pricey but for where it is no big shock I'm I recommend this place for a good Persian tase in the Philippines!
