Hi everyone. We did this hike in the middle of march and, it was one of the worst idea we ever had due to weather condition. Be aware of my message if you think about doing this hike in the rainy season. We planned to do this hike while using our bivouac equipment with 2 bag packs of 12/13 kg each for 2 peoples. First of all, the first river to cross had quite a strong river flow and the water was above my knee, it was not that dangerous but if you slip, then it could be. There was absolutely no bridge to cross this river. Be careful with it, try to see if it's possible to cross the river in a way that you can't fall in the flow. The next river to cross was in the third day of hike. It was our last day to head to the village to get back to La Paz city. In this river particularly. The river flows very swift, and the water could be around my hips. Even if the water was just above my knee, the flow was so strong that I couldn't even manage to cross this river at the bottom of the hill. But I think in summer, the river is like a small piece of water when you can't even slip barefoot. Whatever, we came back to a farm of an old couple of bolivian people. They show us another way to cross the village and to get to the village, it's was no more a wild hike cuz we walked on a road built for huge machine. It costs 20 bolivianos of fees that you will ask to a woman to open a huge door that you can't cross or climb to get to the village. In attachment the road that we had to take to get to the village. Hope it can helps. Don't hesitate to ask people on the road if you're afraid to get lost. I really think this hike is easy in the summer season but the rain made it worst and dangerous.

Hermosa ruta casi no transitada
