Came here to see the Fuente Magna. Pictures were unfortunately prohibited. No explanation was given about the object. Talk about an anticlimax... The tiny museum only has a few golden objects. The entry fee of 20 bolivianos allow you to visit 3 other neat museums closeby.

I think the price they charge tourists is very expensive, compared to native Bolivians, who pay 10X less to enter. Culture and history should never be expensive! Other than that, a good museum, nothing spectacular, it was worth seeing the magnificent fountain, although you can't photograph anything there (another idiocy, in my opinion).

There isn't much to do on a rainy day in La Paz other than the museums. You buy a ticket here and can use it to go to all museums. The exhibitions are very interesting, but knowledge of Spanish is an advantage in order to take something with you. The gold finds from the pre-Inca period are kept in a huge safe and are truly fascinating. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Only the sanitary facilities were not good even by Bolivian standards.

Go to the ethnographic museum instead... Got ticket with entrance to several of the museums in Calle Jean (same owners), and I thought the museums had a really elitist and colonialist vibe to it.

Great museum. The building itself is beautifull too. Good information from the guides. Be aware: everything in spanish.

Small museum with an interesting collection. Inka gold is always fascinating. Unfortunately, does not allow photography.

Unmatched experience for those interested in learning about the ability of the people of the Andean plateau to work with metals. If you pass through the city of La Paz you must visit this Museum.

(Translated by Google) Museum that contains several exhibitions but in certain parts they are not well lit and in most of them nothing is explained at all, so you only see, but you cannot associate the exhibited very well (Original) Museo que contiene varias exposiciones pero en ciertas partes no están bien iluminados y en la mayoría de ellos nada nada explicados, por lo que únicamente ves, pero no puedes asociar muy bien lo expuesto

Impressive to be able to appreciate the gold artifacts and the use of metal tools from such remote times, even more impressive to see the Magna Fountain that presents Sumerian writings inside, it is what impressed me most to see of all the museums I visited and we It leaves you thinking about how said artifact got there from a civilization located in the Middle East, on the other side of the world.
