My most favourite place in the whole city. Extremely peaceful and breathtaking. They don’t allow the phones at all and actually that’s nice because you get to mindfully enjoy the whole scenery out there, you can see the Beautiful Buddha statue and the water flowing in Tank Band, heavy and busy city traffic, beautiful white marble architecture all around you, very serene deities and calm atmosphere.

The Birla Temple in Hyderabad is a beautiful place, especially at night. It's on a hill, so you get an amazing view of the city, the lake, and the roads below. They don't allow mobile phones or cameras inside, but that actually makes it a peaceful place for families to visit. It's a great spot to see the city lights and relax......

Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple, built on a 280 feet (85 m) high hillock called Naubath Pahad on a 13 acres (53,000 m2) plot in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The construction took 10 years and was opened in 1976 by Swami Ranganathananda of Ramakrishna Mission. The temple was constructed by Birla Foundation, which has also constructed several similar temples across India, all of which are known as Birla Mandir. The temple manifests a blend of Dravidian, Rajasthani and Utkala architectures. It is constructed of 2000 tons of pure white marble. The granite idol of presiding deity Lord Venkateswara is about 11 ft (3.4 m) tall and a carved lotus forms an umbrella on the top. There is a brass flagstaff in the temple premises which rises to a height of 42 ft (13 m). The temple does not have traditional bells, as Swami Ranganathananda wished that the temple atmosphere should be conducive for meditation. Apart from the main shrine, the consorts of Lord Venkateswara, Padmavati and Andal are housed in separate shrines. The temple also has separate shrines for various Deva and Devi including Shiva, Shakti, Ganesh, Hanuman, Brahma, Saraswati and Lakshmi. Selected teachings of men and Gurbani are engraved on temple walls. Birla temples are open to all, as identified by Mahatma Gandhi and other Hindu leaders.

It's a beautiful temple located on a hillock dedicated to Lord Venkateswara built by the Birla group. It has a traditional South Indian architecture. It faces the Hussain Sagar Lake and Secretariat. Cameras and phones are not allowed inside. There is an arrival area where you deposit your footwear and electronics in lookers. There is a short climb (2 stories roughly) with few deities at the 1st level and the main deity at the 2nd level. The view from the 2nd level is magnificent! Certainly worth the visit!

Outstanding marble structure, well-maintained. There's a brilliant view from the top. However note that mobiles and cameras are not allowed inside the temple premises, so you will need to store it in the cloak room at the entrance.

So much has changed around this temple over the years but the temple still gives you a sense of calm once you enter the premises. The road leading up to the temple can be very narrow and dumped with garbage. You aren’t allowed to take phones, cameras, laptops or any other electronic items and large bags. There’s locker facility to store them.

Must visit temple in Hyderabad. Mobile is not allowed inside the temple but you may be able to sneak in mobile. The view from the top of the temple is mesmerizing. The new secretariat building looks very beautiful at night. In day Lake view is excellent. Parking is a big issue here, so if driving a car then you have to park a bit far away

Beautiful marvelous. Such an intricate architecture. Beautiful designed. Many devotees sing the Govinda jaap. A magnificent place for mind peace and meditation. Phones are not allowed inside the temple since photography inside the temple is not allowed. You have veg canteens outside the temple. This temple is located on a hill. A crowded place I would say.

Visited the beautiful Mandir in Hyderabad and was thoroughly impressed with the serene atmosphere and meticulous maintenance. Situated in the middle of the city, the Mandir is a peaceful haven that radiates cleanliness and hygiene, creating an aura of Shanti, peace, and Sukoon. The highlight of the visit was the requirement to submit mobile phones and electronic valuables before entering the temple premises. This unique practice allowed me to fully immerse myself in the spiritual experience without any distractions. The management's efficiency in handling this process was commendable, contributing to a truly tranquil environment. Additionally, the Mandir offers breathtaking scenic views that add to the overall charm of the place. If you're seeking a serene escape in the heart of the city, this Mandir is a must-visit. The combination of cleanliness, tranquility, and well-managed facilities make it a standout destination for spiritual seekers.

Birla mandir is Pristine and huge structure made of marble. At a height, so gives a good city view and an outstanding Hussain Sagar lake view. Vast car parking. There are some steps to climb, but lift is available. Employees are very friendly. Idol of Lord Venkateshwara is magnificent. There are also idols of different dieties that are simply superb. No entry fee. Camera is not allowed inside the Mandir. There is a counter to keep your belongings. Hand bag and purse are permitted. About 45 minutes would suffice to cover the entire Mandir. Inside, a serene feeling should be felt to be believed. An idol shop in the premises can be visited. In Hyderabad, don't miss Birla Mandir. Best to go in the night.

Phone is not allowed inside the Venkateshwara temple but I secretly took it inside😏 It’s a nice temple with nice architecture. There is so much rush and we have wait for minimum 30 minutes in line to reach inside. The view of Hyderabad from the top of hill is nice. There is no entry ticket. The white marble stone is beautiful.

Birla Mandir in Hyderabad is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara of Tirumala Tirupati Temple. It is said that a whopping quantity of white marble, which is almost 2000 tonnes, was brought from Rajasthan for building this temple. Located on the top of a hill of 280 feet, also known as Naubat Pahad, Birla Temple stands magnificently, drawing admiring glances from every passerby. Birla mandir is one of the Top 10 tourist places to visit in Hyderabad. There are various Birla Mandirs which have been built all over the country. These have been constructed by the industrialists Birlas and are thus popularly known by the family that undertook the task. Night Sight of the Temple is just amazing ❣️

All electronic items have to be deposited in lockers. Seperate counters for storing footwear, mobiles, cameras and luggage. The place is very hygienic and neatly maintained. Security check at the entrance to ensure no electronic items are carried by the devotees. Lift facility for the elderly and disabled people. Parking facility available for all vehicles. Separate washrooms for Men and women are available with paid service. We can view the city from top of hillocks and the Sunset. A very famous and beautiful temple in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Overall a very good place to enjoy with family and friends.

Birla Mandir is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful temples in Hyderabad. Made fully of white marble. This temple is located on top of a hill. As said about this temple looks very beautiful, the main deity is Lord Venkateshwara. Other deity's include Lord Ganesh Lord Sai Baba etc. Since the temple is located at a hill the view from the top will also be beautiful. You can see the whole tankbund road(road adjacent to Hussain Sagar lake).Especially during Night time the temple will be lighted in cream white colour. The tankbund road looks very beautiful as well. You can also go and read in a Library inside the temple premises. Outside the temple you can find a large Pooja Store where you can get any spiritual stuff. On the other side you can also find small shops which sell snacks, chilled beverages (non-alcoholic of course), sugarcane juice etc etc. Also you can find shops which sell Plastic Toys Sunglasses (local made) etc etc. Near the temple you can also visit the Birla Musium and Planetarium but you need time. One of the main concerns here include Parking. Its literally like climbing on a hill and stopping in the middle to park the car. Not all drivers can do this. All cars will be standing with no gap at all one behind the other. One small mistake and all the cars fall down. So we need to be very careful while going. Its better to hire a cab incase you aren't a good driver or walking from the entrance is even more better. No electronics allowed inside the temple😭 (I was Lucky to carry my mobile atleast). You will be asked to keep the electronic gadgets at the Free Cloak room. According to me it would be awesome if they allow Camera and mobile inside. Atleast not near the main deity but atleast near the sitout as the view from here is awesome.

Beautiful Baaji Temple on a small hill adjacent to Hussain Sagar & behind New Hyderabad Secretariat. Idols in the temple are very Devine. There is a lift available for Senior Citizens to reach temple top instead of walking through stairs. At night we can view the chain of lights of the Necklace Roads around Hussain Sagar Lake. As camera not allowed we couldn't take photos of it from temple top.

The best place to visit in Hyderabad if you want to visit Lord Sri Venkateswara and his majestic abode atop a hill. It's made of pristine white marble and intricate beauty lies everywhere the eyes go. From gorgeous meadow like hills covered in bougainvilleas and the Idol the outide and inside in black which is supreme, majestic and beautiful to gaze at. The patio behind and outside the temple has wide space where you can sit and meditate. No phones allowed inside the premise. And a panoramic view of Hyderabad is an extra highlight. Must visit for religious devotees of Lord Krishna 🙏🏻

This 200 ft high glistening white structure of Birla Mandir was built in 19th century by Swami Ranganathananda of Ramakrishna Mission. This place is located towards the southern end of Hussain Sagar Lake in the city. Situated on top of the Kala Pahad the monument dots the skyline of Hyderabad. Built on a 13-acre plot the main attraction of the temple is the 11 feet tall granite idol of deity Lord Venkateswara with a carved lotus forming an umbrella on the top. Interestingly the temple does not showcase traditional bells to keep the temple atmosphere and nearby surroundings conducive to meditation.

I have visited on feb 14, i thought there would be a rush thogh it's pandemic situation but not. We have deposited mobile and Chappal for free. Then we started, there are about 150 steps to reach temple. I saw there is a lift facility for those who can't walk. Along with Venkateswara swamy there are other gods and goddesses are there. Fantastic view from the top of temple, we can view tank bund. Once we come down there a big shop with books, idle and others. I wanted to buy a toy for my daughter and no one is there. Its disappointed me. We also have scientific museum, many people are visiting it, i was short of time didn't visited. Overall experience was good.

Great place. It is one of those few serene places in Hyderabad. Temple closes at 9,if I remember correctly. Try to go there early morning or post 6. Evening sees large public, hence expect some waiting time for shoes and valuable submission counters. There is a Birla Science Museum, at walking distance. If you are on private vehicle, google maps take you accurately. The parking space is sufficient. However, it involves elevated twist and turns. Lakdikapul metro station is nearby. Easily walkable when weather is suitable. Follow google maps(walking).

Contrary to popular opinion, I'm pretty disappointed that they want you to remove bags and mobile and wallet and place it with them before entering the temple. That is a bummer right there because if your belongings are lost, who is responsible for it? I'm sure the authorities are not responsible for it. Although I consider my extremely spiritual, the way you are treated in a temple matters and to worry about my belongings when I'm touring the temple and taking the blessings in such a hurry is simply not worth it. While it is a token system for keeping your belongings with them, I was shouted upon by the person who handles token for keeping belongings with them. I always had such poor experiences at popular temples. At shiva temples, it's probably the opposite because I'm more of an ardent shiva devotee. I'd suggest you to visit shiva linga and a beautiful collection of idols of various gods and goddesses near the Birla planetarium. You won't find any crowd and issues there and you can pray till eternity. Based on opinions from various people who have visited it seems like this temple is more of a tourist gimmick rather than a temple. Even though it looks beautiful.

The Birla Mandir in Hyderabad, also known as the Birla Temple or Birla Venkateswara Swamy Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. It is located on a hill called Naubath Pahad in the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The temple was constructed by the Birla Foundation, a charitable organization established by the prominent industrialist family, the Birlas. The foundation has built several similar temples across India. The construction of the Birla Mandir in Hyderabad began in 1966 and was completed in 1976. The temple is built entirely of white marble and showcases a blend of South Indian, Rajasthani, and Utkala architectural styles. The architecture of the temple is intricate and showcases intricate carvings and sculptures depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. Apart from its religious significance, the Birla Mandir offers a panoramic view of the city of Hyderabad, making it a popular tourist attraction. 🕍 Birla Mandir, Hyderabad: A Divine Symphony in Marble 🌅 Birla Mandir, perched atop the hillock of Naubat Pahad, is a testament to divine grace and architectural splendor. My visit to this serene temple unfolded a spiritual journey amidst the city's bustle, offering a haven for contemplation. Constructed entirely with white marble, Birla Mandir's intricate carvings and ornate details reflect the fusion of traditional South Indian, Rajasthani, and Utkala temple architectures. The temple's pristine beauty is enhanced by the sunlight, creating a mesmerizing play of light and shadow. As I ascended the steps, the panoramic views of Hyderabad unfurled, showcasing a city that seamlessly blends modernity with its rich historical tapestry. The tranquility within the temple complex, set against the backdrop of the city's energy, creates a unique sense of harmony. The main sanctum houses Lord Venkateswara, surrounded by smaller shrines dedicated to various deities. The spiritual ambience is heightened by the chanting of hymns and the fragrance of incense. Each corner of the temple invites devotees and visitors alike to partake in a sense of peace and devotion. Birla Mandir is not just a religious edifice; it's an architectural gem that stands as a symbol of faith and inclusivity. The meticulously landscaped gardens surrounding the temple add to its allure, providing a tranquil retreat within the heart of Hyderabad. For those seeking spiritual solace or a cultural experience, Birla Mandir beckons as a timeless sanctuary—a place where devotion meets architectural magnificence against the backdrop of the vibrant City of Pearls. 🌄🕊️🌺
