Johannelundstippen,
which
was
previously
called
here,
is
now
Johannelundstoppen.
"In
1962,
you
had
this
view
from
the
Johannelund
tip.
It
was
then
that
it
was
decided
that
the
tip
should
be
improved
in
order
to
be
better
used
for
outdoor
activities.
At
the
same
time,
the
name
was
changed
from
Tippen
to
Toppen.
The
highest
point
on
the
summit
is
60
meters.
Up
on
the
hill
there
is
a
flat
area
of
around
16,000
square
metres.
The
name
Johannelund
comes
from
the
state
residence
that
was
located
where
the
Johannelund
peak
is
now.
That
croft
was
demolished
in
the
1960s.
In
the
winter,
the
top
was
previously
used
as
a
ski
and
sledding
slope,
and
in
the
summer,
this
was
one
of
Stockholm's
most
popular
paragliding
slopes.
The
fall
height
was
thirty
meters.
It
was
considered
an
excellent
training
slope
for
new
gliders
but
also
suitable
for
the
more
driven
and
experienced."
Uses
it
myself
as
a
training
hill
and
brightens
up
the
little
moments
for
children
when
it's
winter.
