Updated review due to updated menu: Sidecar has just updated their weekday menu, and all options are as delicious as you can possibly imagine! Amazing brunch platter with bacon&fried egg on sourdough bread, avocado toast with pumpkin hummus and much more! I would definitely recommend the savory waffle! And the super delicious banana bread...!!! Totally worthy to visit both on weekdays and weekend! PS. Don't be fooled by the foamy "whipped cream" served with bread slices, it is a soft salty/semi-sweet form of butter.!.!.!.!

Sometimes sidecar is good, other times it is less good. This review is based on eating there four times. Below are some thoughts and experiences from that. One of the trips, I had a waffle with salmon, and it was super delicious but unfortunately not on their menu any longer. I have also tried their weekend brunch buffet, we had booked 6 weeks in advance because it is so popular, when we arrived the waiters did not have our reservation, despite us showing a confirmation, this ruined the experience a bit. The food was tasty though. Lastly, I recently ordered a croque monsieur and it was very good, but my friend who ordered the vegetarian brunch plate was severely disappointed in how small the size of the food is for the price and was not impressed by the taste of the food. Altogether it is a cosy place, great location, and on the expensive side with room for improvement.

Sidecar brunch is one of the best places in Cph. The assortment of the buffet is quite extensive and it is all fresh. You get eggs and pancakes or waffles to your table. The only downside is that the place is very popular and it has to be booked in advance and all spots are usually gone quickly so if you plan to go, you have to do it with a bunch of time in advance and you can’t be too spontaneous as you need to know exactly how many people will join you.

We really enjoyed our weekend brunch here and would visit again! We chose one of the plated options from the menu, then also had the ability to serve ourselves from a large buffet table with a bunch of additional options in the middle of the room. We were happy with and enjoyed everything! My only point of feedback was that with a reservation we were seated at high-top chairs at a counter which were actually very high and hard to get onto (I am 5'6, an average height) and having your legs dangle so much is uncomfortable. We would visit again, but ask for a standard table. The first picture is all from the buffet, the other smaller plates are all from the plated warm options they serve directly from the kitchen.

Ordered a Sidecar Brunch and Smoothie. I like the buffet concept, for someone who eat a lot will definitely find the price worth it. Everything taste pretty decent, but nothing is mind-blowing.

We came here for breakfast. If not specified, they will serve two or more identical dishes together for sharing. I highly recommend their waffles– thin, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with whipped cream fruits and jam, delicious. The coffee and juice are also good.

I went to this place for solo dining and had an excellent experience. Staff is so sweet! I sat down on a cozy corner, next to a window. The place is filled with minor details that make the interior so warm. I tried 3 things: Panko shrimps, zucchini salad, and chicken dumplings. The shrimps were insanely delicious, also the Miso Mayo that came next to it. And the zucchini salad, I don't have any words! It was amazing. I loved how they topped it with a lot of cheese that I couldn't see the zucchini at first. Chicken dumplings were tasty, but the chicken inside was on a different form than I expected, so I was a bit surprised. Overall, an amazing experience at a cozy restaurant. Perfect if you wanna reward yourself with delicious food for a good day at work! I recommend.

One of the most complete and tasty brunches ever!! I like to be critical and strictly judge restaurants, but here there was no mistake. Highlight for me the crispy waffle! Excellent service, kind and smiley! If u visit Copenhagen, don’t miss it!!

One of the best brunch places in the city. The menu allows you to choose one option for hot dishes and there’s an open buffet included in the central table. Healthy and vegetarian options are available as well as fresh fruit. Coffee is surprisingly good. Service is excellent. The mimosa could’ve been a bit bigger tho.

Food: if ordering a-la-carte, it is tapas-style so need to order 2-3 dish per person which is hard with the limited dinner menu. Ended up walking nearby to grab some ramen. Sehr unfreundliches und nicht hilfsbereites Personal. Wir haben uns draußen hingesetzt und wurden, obwohl wir mehrfach vom Personal bemerkt wurden, nicht bedient, bis einer von uns hineingegangen ist und nach einer Karte gefragt hat. Daraufhin wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass man drin bestellen müsste - was okay ist, aber dann sollte man seine Kunden auch proaktiv darauf hinweisen, wenn sie das (mangels Hinweises draußen) nicht wissen. Auch der teils nasse Tisch (Regen) wurde nicht trocken gewischt. Das Personal wirkte insgesamt sichtlich genervt. Die Portionen waren sehr klein und dennoch teuer, dieses Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist selbst für dänische Verhältnisse echt schlecht. Über 10€ und man wurde kaum satt. Immerhin war die kleine Portion lecker. Das Ambiente im Innenraum ist schick, draußen dagegen sehr schlicht. Keine Empfehlung. Gebt euer Geld lieber woanders aus, wo ihr für das Geld mehr bekommt und besser bedient werdet.

What a great and cozy place! Coffee is great, the food was great! Salmon was so fresh omg! The best waffles that we had, and the bacon was better than in any other places in US. Totally recommend this place!

Lovely place that has a very nice weekend brunch buffet. Staff was kind and attentive, food and drink were all excellent and the space is well done and cozy. It’s a short walk to the park and metro stop.

Sidecar was recommended to me as a best place for breakfast in the capital and I have to agree with my friends here - the quality of the food was excellent, the waiting time / price might have been higher/longer than elsewhere but the meal was well worth it.

I was there 3 times over the last year and I really enjoyed it. The brunch is very good. I have only been there on weekdays when there aren’t so many guests, but all in all very good food and atmosphere.

Used to be one of my favourite brunch places but recently I have been so disappointed with their service and food quality. The staff are very stressed, we asked them 5 times for some food but they kept ignoring our order. It’s also not as clean and organised as before! I wonder what’s happened to this place?!

Excellent brunch, albeit maybe on the expensive side two Vegetarian Brunches and two coffees cans to 405dkk. But worth the price for good quality and good service. The brunch is a combination of a fixed hot set of dishes and a buffet table for the rest. A really nice relaxed atmosphere abs outside seating too if you can find a place.

Delicious breakfast platter with a balanced medley of flavors. The cappuccino is delicious and well worth an order. If you are not too hungry the platter could be shared. Definitely worth a visit.

Haven't seen the brunch buffet concept being very popular in Europe but this place was a treat. Spent 3 hours on Sunday afternoon with some great company. If you go with the buffet option, the hot foods are brought to the table while the cold foods are self-serve.

We loved the concept! It’s a buffet with dishes from the kitchen and they bring you little portions of the dish with the option to order more. This way you leave not only happy but also with a good consciousness because there’s very little food waste :)

I've visited Sidecar on two separate occasions, once for evening cocktails and another time for their wildly popular weekend brunch. The brunch offers a selection of sausages, bacon, eggs and waffles (there are also gluten free, vegetarian and lactose free options, I believe) that can be refilled on request, as many times as needed. This works well but is a bit of a slow process as the wait staff is quite busy, so be prepared to be patient. In the mean time a wonderful buffet with snack size dishes is the star of the show. It has tons of healthy options and everything we tried was a delight. Be aware that you need to book a table well in advance and that some of the seats are a bit awkward to sit in for longer periods of time. I will definitely return and can highly recommend but be patient, both with booking and with the warm dishes. For cocktails we spontaneously went in a late Thursday night and was met with a friendly and relaxed attitude. We got excellent guidance on what to choose and drinks were out fast. It's a bit strange to pay for water when ordering only cocktails, as that usually is complementary. Both cocktails were delicious and inventive, so nothing but praise from me.

Very nice find for brunch just outside of the centre. Very nice feel to the interior and welcomed by the staff on entry. Menu is small but enough choice for us to select from. I had the Cheese and Sourdough dish and my partner the Avocado on Toast. Both were clearly made from high quality ingredients and very tasty. Would have been good to try the buffet breakfast but only available on the weekend menu. Added to the revisit list if we ever in Copenhagen again.

Positives: - Friendly service - Nice outdoor seating area - Decent coffee - Decent tasting food Negatives: - 22 EURO for a plank of wood with 2 slices of melon, one tablespoon of rhubarb jam, 2 strawberries, a (1) slice of cheese, 2 mini sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, a glass of yogurt/granola and a 4cm slice of bread with some omelette on it and another with 2 thin slices of avocado on rugbrød. The vegetarian version had some dill sauce and two very dry falafels. We got a side plate with 2 half-slices of sourdough bread and a piece of rugbrød. I mean, generosity is not really a word that comes to mind here but each to their own.

First of all the food here was really great but we did have some problems along the way. We had ordered two sidecar brunch menus, but the food didn’t arrive all at once. We were served two waffle bites and a bowl of eggs and ended up waiting and asking twice to get our portion of sausage and bacon, which left us confused. One of the cappuccinos was way too strong and I didn’t end up drinking it. Now for the more worrying part. There was a sharp piece of plastic in the waffle I ended up eating. These types of things are not supposed to happen. When I informed one of the waitresses, she would only give a small apology without even taking the empty plate back or offering any compensation. We also ordered/paid for 2 glasses of water for 20kr each that never arrived. The staff seemed super stressed and would come by with orders not knowing which tables they belonged to. We didn’t feel too comfortable contacting the staff as their previous response was halfhearted. Good food but considering the circumstances, we left unhappy and uncomfortable.
