Went back to Copenhagen for vacation last week and wanted to try cafes since they have great cafe culture! It’s my second time to eat here for brunch and it was delicious like the first time. The coffee tasted really good. I ordered the croissant and it did not disappoint. It was so soft and baked well. The scrambled eggs were the best for me. I swear I want to know the recipe. Hehe. The oatmeal was also very flavorful. The spicy hummus I did not like so much but maybe it is just my preference.

The coffee is always good here and if it was only for coffee I would have have 5/5 stars. But the fries are always old and oily. I have tried them more that couple of times for burger and always got disappointed. I guess I better simply not take the warm dishes there ;-) otherwise they are very good at any other part of menu. The staffs are also very nice and friendly all the time and I’ve never felt unwelcome in Mad&Kaffe

This used to be a good place for brunch, but not anymore. It has gone to exploiting the concept. The portions have gotten very small, while you pay a lot for the food. And now they even charge money for tap water, on the excuse of donating to the Red Cross. The non-complementary bread basket contains exactly only two pieces of bread. Very disappointing experience eating here.

Very nice experience for breakfast. You have great selection of food. You decide how much you take and which combination. You should try ! And coffee was excellent. Just scrambled eggs could be a bit better :)

Best brunch in Denmark. Great service, abit of an unintentional cold reception but made up for in service and quality of food. Really impressed by the standards and very close to airport.

Cosy and bright brunch place. Food was tasty and service was prompt. I had the fish fillet and beef tartare open-faced sandwiches. The fish fillet was really good! Café tends to be a bit too busy for my liking. But overall, I enjoyed my visit with friends.

A hidden gem, Little slow service, but super friendly, cosy and very fair price level. I have visited a few times now, and never got disappointed, though the service can be a bit slow. But always smiling and welcoming. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seatings. and there is hardly any traffic on the street, so in a warm summer day it is perfect place to enjoy your food outside. The menu is super tight and what I have tried is very tasty and delicious. I am super fan of their traditional Danish smørrebrød (open sandwiches) served with a cool beer. And I would highly recommend the fries, they are brilliant, and a perfect match for all the servings even coffee.

Very disappointed about the place. Service used to be great, but not any more. The waitresses working today have completely no overview. So many people are waiting to be seated while they have so many empty tables inside. The food from other table looks boring, not their usual standard… Find new staff!!!

Refreshing breakfast for a nice winter morning! Fresh ingredients and a good menu to choose from. The coffee was amazing as well! It's a lovely neighborhood cafe with a cosy ambience :)

Cosy yet modern local spot. Acoustic treatment on point. We had breakfast, when ordering is carried out by ticking some boxes on a form. Food was modular and delicious. Great staff.

The food was great. Especially loved the yogurt and hummus. I’d love to give them a 5 all around but they wouldn’t let us do two big orders to share among all of us, they made us each order our own. I think sharing is a great way to try different menu items without committing. Bummer. But again, wonderful food and coffee all around.

Probably the best porridge I tried. Their rye chocolate porridge was out of this world. So delicious. I'm happy I trusted my impulses. Everything else was also very delicious. Great scrambled eggs and bacon. The cheese was also really good. We'll definitely come again.

Friendly service and staff! I was in need of a place to charge my phone and they helped me out despite the place being booked full! The coffee latte tasted average, but the food looked really good!

Upon reviewing the rating, I found myself wondering why it had a 4.4 score. I must say, our experience exceeded our expectations. We truly savored both the concept and the food. We‘ll definitely be recommending this spot to our friends when they come to Copenhagen.

Delightful brunch experience! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance set the perfect tone – cozy yet vibrant. The menu boasted an array of delectable options. The barista's expertise shone through in the rich and velvety cappuccino. The brunch spot's attention to detail extended to the aesthetically pleasing presentation of each dish. Overall, a stellar brunch – a definite go-to for a delightful morning indulgence.

Cool and trendy café with superb, modular food and friendly service. Scrambled eggs recommended! If you like your coffee hot, best to order it after your food has arrived. A bit pricey for non-Danes, but definitely worth a lingering visit.

Made a different review on past experiences. Just had it again and food was better. Still a little more than I like to lay though

This cafè is really cute and cozy, we ordered two hamburgers and they were good and really big. The prices are in line with Copenhagen (about 200 DKK per person), the water was almost free of charge. The only flaw is the coffee, really not good.

Mad & Kaffe serves up a cozy atmosphere as well as delicious food. The servers are polite, funny and you can feel that they enjoy being there. Such a pleasure to be served by them! The food is nice and you can make your own brunch platter, but they don’t really serve anything different from any other place with the same concept. But it is delicious! I just wish they would balance the dishes that go together better - more bread, less jam with the cheese and such.

I came alone and was directly approached by a very friendly waitress! Had a tasty cafe latte with a very delicious brownie. They also serve a variety of breakfast dishes and lunch/dinner. Would come back.

Had a wonderful breakfast at this hidden gem east of Copenhagen. As someone having grown up with Mad og Kaffe playing a vital part in their upbringing, it’s lovely to revisit and see that the place has stuck by its core values and serve the same level of great food (or even better) as a decade ago. Will happily keep visiting this place and bringing people to try some Danish breakfast!

Best spot for breakfast and brunch in Copenhagen. Felt very welcomed here. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful, coffee is very good and that food? Amazing, amaaaazinggg!! We agreed that this is our favourite spot and came back twice.

Delicous Breakfast !! Quite fast even it was a crowd of hungry People.

Efficient is the best way to describe this place. Everything is good, starting from coffee and finishing with food. Service is fast and polite, you can sit and work or just grab fast snack. Nothing is extraordinary but I don't think it needs to be in this case.

Often very busy and need to book. Nice brunch selection, just a personal preference that I find the Danish tiny plate approach to brunch a little annoying

Fantastic little brunch (and dinner) place with a really cool menu concept. Small dishes served tapas style with options to choose smaller or larger amounts of small plates based on your appetite. The interior has a wonderful aesthetic and feels very much like an upscale cafe serving yummy breakfast items. Can’t wait to come back and try more.

I got the Chili con Carne and it was amazing! Sad that I forgot to take a pic of it! Great service from beginning to end. Totally recommend this place for breakfast or lunch 🤩

Get the cream cheese, it's the best I've ever eaten. It's a filling brunch if you get the bread basket.

Nice place, much space, diff options.

Great food and atmosphere. Only downside was the excessive 8 DKK per person for self serve water charged without being made aware of this. Transaction fee was also added on top of the bill.

This was the worst breakfast (experience) ever... at the beginning we waited for 30 minutes outside for a table although they told us only 2 people were there before us and will wait for a table too.. BUT then they seated 6 people before us.. then we sat at the talbe next to the door which they didnt close correctly most of the time and due to that it was really cold. The coffee tasted very bad & bitter, in the waffle was a hair and besides that it was very dry! Overall the portions are tiny - like for kids, the porridge had a strange taste (really bitter) and the price is not worth it - it is too expensive for what you get! The butter was in a tiny plastic container (8g) and it lasts for only one bread. Sorry, but we looked forward to our breakfast/brunch there but we are really unsatisfied. We told them that we were not happy at all and we would write a bad recommandation, but they only offered us another coffee which we didnt want because it was the worst coffee ever!
