Room are very dirty. Even the tray kept for drinking water glasses are so dirty. Wash rooms horrible. Cupboards are filled with cockroach stink. Overall it was a hell. But they charge 3 star charges. Pl don't waste your money

This is a review I don't really feel like doing, because of the great staff, but without input, changes can't happen. I stayed at Maple Tree Hotels for 1.5 months during my multi-month stay in Chennai. I wish I could give 5 stars to this hotel, but unfortunately, the facilities do not justify this. First to the positive elements: The rooms are quite spacious, the location very good - and then the most positive; The staff is world-class! The staff are the most friendly, service-minded and professional people. This applies to everything from the manager, the receptionists, room service, housekeeping and guards. They make you feel welcome and comfortable in the hotel and are helpful. The fantastic staff was also the only reason why I stayed so long. So to the negative elements, which will, unfortunately, overshadow the good a bit. The hotel is 20 years old and this, unfortunately, appears a lot. The furniture in the rooms is old and dilapidated. There is a sea of ​​cockroaches and they move in between the small openings on the old furniture. I experienced them crawling on me at night while I was sleeping. And I was even found dead (and still alive!) cockroaches in my bags when I unpacked the bags at my new hotel after moving from Maple Tree Hotels! It is simply unacceptable that a 3-star hotel at that price does not have better pest control. In addition, there is only mandatory cleaning once a week, unless you yourself ask for cleaning at other times of the week. Housekeeping was very helpful in trying to remove the cockroaches, but it requires major pest control before it can be overcome. Cockroaches are everywhere - unfortunately also in the hotel's restaurant. The cockroaches were the reason I chose to change hotels. However, I don't think the day-to-day staff can make many changes to these issues. They do their best. This requires the owners of the hotel to take action! The staff at the hotel are worth 5 stars, but unfortunately, I wouldn't give the hotel facilities more than 1-2 stars. Despite the bad experiences with the hotel's facilities, I would like to thank the Maple Tree Hotel staff for the good treatment. Hopefully, the owners will soon take action and have the hotel renewed and specially treated for pests!

Bathrooms are old and spoilt , mainly tiles are slippery in Bathrooms... regular double rooms are very congestive. Horn Sounds are disturbing,lift is very slow and congested and shaking and no number provided inside lift to call emergency

Good banquet hall. The reception was really good and the manager their was so kind and courteous. She took us to the tour of the halls and explained everything. We wanted to book the banquet hall but for various other reasons couldn't. Its worth a try.

Worst hotel I have ever been in with the worst service you can get even after paying so much money. None of the hotel employees know how to do their job. It's like they have been forced to come here. They serve food in plastic plates. Pathetic! This hotel is Highly not recommended.

I have been there to attend a weekly meeting of a group. Good AC hall. Good service. After meeting for about 2.5 hours we had our breakfast which they provided as a buffet. Every dish was hot and tasty. We could not find any negetive thing since everything was fine and acceptable. They charges rs.450 per head for this activity.

Till last month the service was good. I used to attend a weekly meeting of our group at maple tree hotels. They allot an ac hall to accomodate maximum of 30 persons. We have to pay them minimum for X persons even if the attendance is thin. If more than X persons according to the count we have to pay. This was going on very smoothly. The have to provide us coffee or tea by 9 am and then tiffin buffet. Last 2 weeks they did not provide coffee inspite of reminding the reception several times. When asked their response was very poor and treated us without due respect. When we went for tiffin, we were not provided enough stuff. No enough sambar and even main tiffin. We were forced to wait for the stuff. They don't realise that they are getting a part of salary from our payment. If they continue like this they will fall one day. Let the management takes right action to provide best service, apart from polite behaviour of the employees. We have decided to move out from there soon. Few months back I complimented their service in this forum. Now it is reverse.sorry to mention this.hope for best or even better service.

I attended my friend's function today, where the hall was sufficient and neat which could accommodate 200 people. But the lift facility was worst. The function hall was in 5th floor but the lift service is available only till 4th floor and everyone has to climb 1 floor to reach the party hall. Again back to 1st floor for food which was very very complicated. The food taste was good for Veg menu but stomach became very full after having little food which was not appreciated. Also they charge about 510rs per plate where sufficient items were not provided. Last but not the least, the parking was very very very bad. They say they have valet parking with a separate parking area but the vehicles were made to park by the owner in the heavy traffic road just outside the hotel. We parked near the hospital gate which was next gate from Maple tree. Since it rained much the roads were slushy too. Parking is the main disadvantage here. I will not recommend this place to anyone till the above condition changes.

Went to attend a party in its hall. The place was at prominent 100ft road and they do have valet 🅿️ parking. Though the coordination was not great but that’s the max we can expect in a function buzz day.. The lift was available but rush made us to use steps which was ok and wish they can still maintain the hygiene better. Party hall was good enough for 150 guests and also the dining hall was good for buffet serve. Food was also good so overall a good experience.

For the first time, I have had bad experience with a hotel despite of good ratings on trip advisor. I am still surprised that tripadvisor ratings are 5/5 where as google ratings are at 4.1 After closer look I found that this place has function/party hall which is good but for stay this place is not recommended at all. Here is my detailed experience. I booked the room for 2 days. We were allocated a room and just walking into the hotel corridor/lift, I started to feel the place is unhygenic but hoping room would be better. Rooms are old, dirty with lots of marks, bedsheets had marks, bathroom has pegion poop and wings and so on ( pls see attached pics). For the first time I had to call cleartrip ( through which I booked the hotel) and complain. They changed the room and even the new room is similar just without pegion stuff. Dont get fooled by the pictures here as they are not at all close to reality. Food was decent in restaurant but restaurant area is not clean as well. Not at all recommneded for families. Lot of hospitals near by and the crowd that checks in is usually looking for cheaper option to stay around. Only sensible person in staff was Sandhya at reception desk. Other than that staff looks at you as why are you complaining about pegion stuff as if its normal. We got two beds ( for 3 people) and the single bed you can feel the spings when sitting and it physically hurts ( same case in both rooms we stayed). We couldn't wait to get out of this hotel as early as possible

Checked in on 23rd evening and checked out on 24th Morning. While entering they took the room charge totally. My doubt begins from there as a reputed hotel never takes money at beginning. Room furniture and furnishings was old, bathroom tap leaking, telephone not working. Food rate high to the extreme as per the hotel facilities. Food was tasteless. Except reception guy, no one understands English or Hindi (only Tamil). Google should change 3 star hotel to a normal hotel, as neither it is a 3 star hotel nor they deserve it. They are fooling customers.

We had a family function here . Service was poor . Welcome drink not given on time. Delay in serving. Fish fry which was un the menu, not served. Worst service and they are charging 700rs per head

We booked this hotel based on the photos from the internet. but when we came here we came to know that everything was fake. The poorest were their toilets, the water was not draining properly and we were not given hot water. We complained to them many times but no response from their side. We opted to cancel our stay because of this but they told they can't give refund. The total stay was horrible, I suggest everyone to think before you book this hotel. Better not to pay online, go there , see the rooms and then you decide. I will never recommend this hotel at all.

Wonderful ambience. Kind hearted staffs. When we were searching for good banquet halls in Chennai and was sceptical about food quality, the manager was kind enough to give us a trial dinner for myself and my wife, which was free of charge. Once we got to know the food quality , we booked for 100 people. Unfortunately only 90 turned out for the event, I was surprised and shocked the manager allowed us to carry home the left over food, which as far as I know no hotel in Chennai does that. I will surely recommend this hotel for their affordable cost, great quality of food and kind hearted staffs. Thank you maple tree for making my daughter’s birthday memorable. Highly recommended.

I Love to say that my daughter wedding was conducted at Maple tree. My Personal experience with this Venue is really satisfied. Staffs were very polite and supported us very well through out the event. All the rooms were very clean and hygiene, our relatives and friends were very comfortable and had a pleasant stay. Overall it was an amazing event. I Should thank MD - Mr Dushand for helping us through out the event.

I'm the bride where we had our engagement party happened in this hotel. The total ambience was great. Special mention and I'm thankful to Kodi Arasi Madam who was there from the start to the end. She was very polite and handled things in a polite way. And the most important thing was the Food. We had the buffet system of Mutton biryani with other varieties of menu.The food was so good and great. Thankyou for the good hospitality.

Pathetic hotel, Room had cockroaches, Cupboard was stinking, Bed was not in good condition it was going down when you try to sleep, Poor sound proofing we had room which was road facing whole night noise of car horns and traffic was keep coming. When i asked for warm water in morning, the water was having bug in it. Two star i gave is for morning breakfast which was Ok. Overall not worth money, our family had terrible stay except breakfast.

Happy and satisfied to full extend about the ambiance decoration and food everything took over by maple tree. Excellent food and hall look over for my son’s first birthday. Jaya and team had soft and neat gestures at guest in serving food. Completely satisfied

Overall it's good...buffet is great We took like 7-8 rooms..Some rooms are good n some bad like ac not working properly.. Water leakage is common in every bathroom... Also bathroom size is small

Not worth to visit, was a last minute booking thru Agoda, felt cheated, shabby rooms no geysers, untrained staff. You will loose peace of mind.

We stayed here for a night and two days. This was a disappointing place. I am not sure how this place gets rated so high on google maps. The hotel is too old.. Everything in this hotel needs a renovation. The free breakfast served here is below average. This is not even supposed to be called a 3 star hotel. The only reason I would stay here is for the location. Overall, a terrible place. Do not waste your money and get fooled by all the positive reviews. Good luck!

Too worst, bitter experience. Still u want that experience, u can prefer. Windows without curtains, informed to reception, multiple times ,they are least bothered about it. Unhygienic rooms, can't tell about washrooms. Suit room getting foul smell, u can imagine other kind of rooms.

Near by road. Good place to contain some small events like birthday party like that. Lift space are low, Small space for steps

The hotel is situated bang on the main road and in between the Vadapalani and Arumbakkam metro station . That is probably its major USP . Otherwise , rooms are very dated - everything right from beds , bathroom / accessories need significant maintenance. Restaurant is serviceable with decent taste . The place has good banquet hall for a small function (50/75 pax) . In short , would only recommend if you didn’t find anything else around ( there is a Ginger also close by ) and if you are NOT with family , probably for only one night stay

The quality of rooms are not goodm.The toilets were stinking and our room was not having proper drain. When approaching the reception they said they can only fix when we check out. This sounds like a joke. How do they are coect us to use the term when the drain itself is not working. Think twice before booking rooms here.

Location is near to Vadapalani Murugan Temple which is a prominent landmark in this locality. Service is okay. The meeting hall is about 70 person capacity and is decent. Inside the hotel it is calm but outside is very much traffic jam and noisy.

Dirty as hell and filthy as $hit. Visit this place to experience free scabies and bed bugs. Stay on a roadside platform rather than staying here. Bathroom water doesnt drain, toilet flush won't work, bedsheets were extremely dirty. The lock doesn't work, the walls are dirty. The front desk doesn't seem to care, When I complained about these.

All furnitures are not only old, they cause injury. All pipe fittings are bad. One tap came out of fixure. Bedcovers are so dirty. No proper key chain too. All bad experience. Many wounds are the best remembrance about this hotel. Bad dull lighting inside the room. One plus point is location. Another plus point is parking facility

Stayed here for a night. The Rooms are shabby. Floors are sticky you can't walk Bare footed. Bathroom doors are broken. Only the reception area is good. Don't know why it has been rated a 3 star hotel.

I recently attended an engagement of a very close friend. This place is really good and easily findable. The halls were pretty neat and good in size. This place is definitely a steal for the price they expect from us.

Its an excellent place to conduct family functions and parties. Party Halls are excellently arranged and managed. AC cooling was awesome even in the summer. The coordinator from the Hotel Management Mrs.Jaya is an excellent person and very co-operative for the arrangement. She stayed with us until the celebration ends and helped us in many things. Food is also excellent. We have informed them in prior about the expected quality and taste of the food and they arranged the same. Overall, its really awesome place to conduct any functions in a budget.

Went for friend's wedding anniversary. It was a nice air-conditioned hall.

The bar is quite exquisite. Price is affordable. Beer is 350 and they give 8 side dishes. Large is 350 to 600 and small is 150 to 300. Side dish is same. The location is around 100 mts from SIMS hospital towards CMBT.

Hospitality was great and team have supported alot for my daughter's birthday. They have done more than what we expected. Food was awesome.

I recently hosted my engagement at the maple tree hotel. The F&B manager Punitha was very understanding and organised the event wonderfully. Wonderful hall🤩 hosted nearly 220 people. My engagement was really memorable and it’s specially because of the venue.

We celebrated my son's first bday party on Red maple. It was an excellent experience overall; must thank Ms.Kodiarasi and the team for their support the staffs were very polite and responded immediately. The decoration was done by Annai decors they were reasonable and did a good job. Last but not least we went with the Veg menu which was very good and well appreciated by the guest. The only place they need to improve is car parking. Overall satisfied with them and will surely recommend them to my friends.

Puberty function which was held at 17july at maple tree hotel was good . The management was friendly and Mr.Naveen has made everything perfect. The food is also nice . Didn't expect this much service. Overall iam satisfied with the services.

Not worth of spending Rs. 2,500 for one day. The room they have provided is Executive deluxe room but the room condition was very nasty. Bed spreads , cover is very worst . Since I have paid the amount in advance I left with any other option .

Hotel is located near Vadapalani metro. Rooms are ok and transport facilities are feasible. They have a restaurant,bar, spa and meeting hall also. . Their sevice was excellent.

We had conducted our baby shower function recently. The Hall was spacious, well decorated and importantly good food with timely service. Valet parking was also available. A special thanks to Kodiarasi for making sure everything went well. One Minus was the complementary room provided which was quite small and not so well maintained with inadequate lighting.

Property condition - very old Cleanliness - very poor Front office - very poor I was really unfortunate to book this hotel as it was midnight and no good hotels were available. Front office service was pathetic as they were bargaining for extra house taken and charged extra fare. Hope the facility team will improve the service and educate folks how to give treat customers. The reception staff was very helpful 🙏🏻.But sadly the overall room condition is not as how they have shown in the pictures. Required a lot of maintenance in the building. Cleanliness is at satisfactory level. Breakfast suppose to start at 7.30 But somehow the food is not prepared on time. Very disappointed. If they could maintain well certainly is a good hotel that is very strategic place.
