This temple is said to be one the oldest temple where both Shiva and Parvathi are placed together. The temple is very clean, well maintained and often hosts some programmes. The temple is located in a village -Ghantasala which is about an hour and half away from Vijayawada and an hour away from Machilipatnam. This village is set to be influenced by Buddisum ages ago and many remains have been found that are placed in the ASI Museum .

Ghantasala having rich historical Hindu temples, Buddha Stupa and also home town for ancestors of Telugu Legendary Singer Sri Ghantasala. It is the only temple where you can observe Lord Siva and Parvathi are placed on a single "peetam" (panavattamu). Temple and Stupas are well maintained and worth visit. It is important place for both Hindus and Buddhists.

A serene temple in Krishna District, with road, APSRTC bus service. Easily reachable by vehicle from Karakarta road by the side of River Krishna. Easily reachable also from Kuchipudi bus stop on Karakatta road as well as Mopidevi, (8 KM from both places), where regular bus services available. Well attended by Pujari. Described as temple as a substitute for dwadasa (twele) Jyothilingas. Temple , where Lord Shiva, Parvati getting seated in one place (usually two separate temples seen for Lord Shiva and Bala Parvati. ) Subrahmanya Swamy temple also available in the premises . It is given that the temple is having good reviews among 24 temples in Krishna District.

The only 2nd temple in world where the Shiva and Parvathi seen together on "Eka pheeta" Means on same throne. This was created by saint agasthya in 1700 Before common era. That means even christianity was never born. Remember my word. U will feel spiritual when u visit this place. Buddism(son) and Hinduism(father) together.

Its very good temple and devine place. Especially Lord Shiva and Parvathi will be there in one place. It's very rare thing and you can't find any where. The Nandhi architecture is simply superb and Siva lingam is in white. Visit when are you are near to Vijayawada.

One of the greatest temple having historical importance with ancient Hinduism. As per avaible sasanas, this temple was built in second century AD and the "Moolavirat" is installed by "Agatshya maha muni". As per pujari's and locals, if you visit thrice this temple, that is equal to visit of "Astadasa shakthi peetalu" and "Dwadasa jyotirlingalu". How to reach the temple: The nearest city to Ghantasala is Vijayawada (56 kilometres) and the nearest town is Challapalli (9 kilometres). The nearest pilgrimage village is Mopidevi (15 kilometres). APSRTC is frequently running buses from Vijayawada to Ghantasala. Nearby tourist attractions: Ghantasala Buddha stupa, Ghantasala archeological museum, Challapalli fort, Machilipatnam beach, Srikakulam Andhra Mahavishnalayam temple, Mopidevi Subramanyeswara Swamy temple, Puligadda to Repalle Varadhi, etc.....
