There was not a single detailed review about this place. So, I thought to write it after learning it myself in a hard way. This review is on the popular student clinic of Sharjah Dental Hospital. It officially opens at 8 am and starts taking patients by that time. But you have to come around 7 am or earlier because they starts issuing token from that time and will stop after 20 tokens (to maintain social distancing). So, kindly come around 6:45 am to avoid rush. They start calling token numbers around 7:30 am and you can only go inside the building at that time. Reception/ Registration officially opens at 8 am and starts calling patients by token number for registration. Then they collects fees of 50 AED for file opening in case of new/ first timers. Otherwise, all the other treatment is free and so is your all subsequent visits. But please bear in mind that they will only check, take xray and diagnose the issue but will not treat it on your first visit unless it is an emergency and you are in great pain. Otherwise, they will just let you go and ask you to wait till they will call you back. Sometimes, it takes two months to get their call because of hundreds of patients waiting in queue. They prioritize your case based on the severity of your issue. I suggest you to go there only when it is real emergency and get your treatment done by their capable medical students. Facility is well equipped and Senior doctors are also available for the guidance of the student doctors. I hope it helps. Thanks

Dhs they did 3 sitting treatments on my kids tooth, put in caps for 2 tooth and cleaned protected rest of the tooth, and one year free service also , for just fifty it’s very cheap in uae , very responsible treat

I brought my son this morning, we've reached there before 6am. Unfortunately the security said its not allowed and no treatment for kids inside, so we just decided to leave and go to a private clinic in Dubai. Token will be issued for first 20 patients at 7am and there's a one-time registration fee of AED50. Free parkings outside.

Security most have the knowledge/awareness to deliver an accurate information about the process on how to enter the university. Imagine, you will reach the location early at 7:00AM as per Google said it will open at 7:30AM, the security will not let you in and they will inform you to come back another day before 7:00AM. Next day scenario you arrive at 6:30AM waiting outside, stay in line until it open at 7:00AM they will start giving token 1st 10 patients will luckily went inside and the rest need to come back before 11:00AM. If there was a proper instruction or detailed information this kind of complaints would be prevented.

This is the best hospital I have ever visited, staff, doctors are very gentle and generous, they assist people in a very polite way, all you need to pay visit registration fees is 50aed and for the rest of the year you can have free dental services from this hospital. I had teeth filing my husband had emergency surgery for wisdom tooth today this is our very first day in the hospital and they treat us very well. I recommend people to visit here if you have any dental issues. Very calming atmosphere, people are very humble and without wasting your time you will get treatment. Thanks for treating us so well. I went there today in the morning , I saw paper notice on board which read only for emergencies which included tooth ache which i badly had, as I reached. early I was told it will open at 9 am, I went back and took medicine and again went there by around 11:30am. I was stopped at the door by a guy whose accent was Arabic, I told him I have very bad tooth ache from last 2 days need to get advice from a doctor , he straight forward said it is not allowed please go, when I asked him let me talk to someone else as u r not listening to me he said I am the authority here to see who can go inside and who cannot..I told him there is a paper notice which clearly says tooth pain patients will be checked , on this he tried to be aggressive ...I really feel if someone visits twice a place with alot of pain he should be treated well first secondary is treatment and I felt that thing missing there.secondly if there was something from the government as he was saying then they should have pasted the same notice on door so that anyone who sees the notice will understand what to do.

Reaching there by 7.10 am, dated 14 July 2019, did not allow treatment. As the token are issued to first 25 patients before 7:00 am, the rest have to leave and find out other doctors in city, if they want to avoid a second time hassle. Thanks

Hi it's 22 August 2019 I went early morning at 6am reach there before me there was around 15 person was there, they said the gate will open at 7 am so at 6.45 am, a security guy came he said today is Thursday so only 15 patients will be treated we said ok then he don't know who came first then he issue taken to the persons who came late, and it's like you have to snatch the token from that guy so what about old person's what about the ladies and no justice no proper system for me it's ok I came back from there but need to do proper system to help people thanks

From my recent experience :If you go there only solution is they experiment with your teeth and after 3 to 4 sessions they will tell you your teeth condition is not good we need to extract your teeth and there is no other way. Even they will not give or suggest you any kind of medication. After teeth extraction they will tell you free implant request. They will play with you like a football and after 5 to 6 months they will tell you something different history like your gum condition is not good we are waiting for your approval so many history. Guye trust me last 8 moths we are waiting for the implants approval but they are only extent the times. It's really useless and unprofessional doctors and they're security manager's behave like a dog they don't know how to talk with women and child. It's really disappointing that they behave like a dog and they are receptionists are also too bad. Last 6 months I only got 6 sessions and my doctor is very very busy after wrong treatment now my doctor is not receiving my phone call and my messages.. Guys it's my and my wife's true history about this hospital. Think twice before you go there. My teeth condition was good but after visit they're for their unprofessoinalism and they are wrong treatment now I need to extract my teeth. I took opinion from Ajman n dental university. It's totally worth less and waste our entire zee.

Bad experience. Started waiting in queue at 4 am. After payment of 50Aed at 8am. They checked my teeth. Staff behavior is good. But they didn't work on my teeth as my both wisdom teeths has to be removed, they told me specialist are in vacation and they will come after 2month and they can't do it. So I wasted my 2 days for nothing.

If you have enough money, please go to a proper hospital that has all dental specialists... Dental health is very important and you should not out waste by untrusting trainees or even interns. I will recommend only to do in UDHS simple filling, polishing there, and uncomplicated tooth extraction For tooth extractions that need surgical intervention .. there are some oral surgeons in surgical department of the UDHS. so it will be done by a surgeon or a supervised master student not a trainee. Complicated root canal treatment should be done in a proper hospital ... Root canal treatment may need multi-speciality intervention like gum specialist .. Root canal treatment should be done by only root canal specialist not even by a general dentist .. it is very important to figure this.. and it should not be done by a trainee even if it is under supervision

My 1st experience at the hospital was great,service was excellent had a tooth extraction by Dr Helmi Shaath.He was amazing and very good.The waiting time was super exhausting i waited from 8 till 1330. Top notch. Highly qualified doctors who truly care about their patients. Nice facilities for visitors (non-patients), but flower/chocolate shop is very expensive in comparison to other shops right outside the hospital (5 min walk).

Last week I visited UDH first time at 7 am but could not get into because they give tokens to first 35 patients and they ask me to come 12pm again. So went after 12pm and I was surprised about all staff courtesy and services and the way doctors treat me was exceptional experience. Although I went there for tooth implant for which they given me time till September 2023. But overall it was nice experience in AED 50/- registration fee per annum.

Unfortunately, my husband couldn't consult due to holiday limitations on tokens, particularly on Thursdays. For emergency treatments, a 4:00 or 4:30 AM arrival is advised. On-site amenities include a canteen and a water vending machine, although there's a lack of nearby cafeterias or restaurants. Despite these considerations, my positive experience overshadows any inconveniences.
