A nice place to visit, it has been restored inside and is impressive. On open days you can listen to a guide and hear some stories and buy small souvenirs. Small events are held occasionally, sometimes a tank can be visited, such as the T-34 and the Wolverine. Recently, a small single-person shelter was placed nearby. Visiting is usually free, but it's nice to get something back into the piggy bank for the maintenance of the shelter. I invite everyone

A lot of work was put into renovating this facility. I personally don't like painting. Was this what the shelter looked like before the war? I dare say I doubt it.

(Translated by Google) Object number 39 is a heavy bunker of the second line of defense built in 1937. The bunker is unique due to the fact that it was a bunker for frontal fire, the object made in resistance D was armed with 3 heavy machine guns behind armored plates and two rkm the object did not have an armored dome, but to confuse a model of such a dome was placed on the ceiling of the facility the officer commanding 14 soldiers in the shelter had a separate room The facility is easily accessible in the Helios Park (Original) Obiekt o numerze 39 jest ciężkim schronem drugiej linii obrony wybudowany w 1937 roku schron Jest unikatowy z racji tego że był schronem do ognia czołowego obiekt wykonany w odporności D był uzbrojony w 3 ckm za pancernymi płytami i dwa rkm obiekt nie miał kopuły pancernej lecz aby zmylić wroga na stropie obiektu posadowiono makietę takiej kopuły oficer dowodzący 14 żołnierzami w schronie miał osobne pomieszczenie Obiekt łatwo dostępny w parku Helios

(Translated by Google) A heavy combat bunker as an element of the 2nd Defense Line of the Fortified Area "Śląsk" in Świętochłowice. Built in 1937, it was to defend the nearby border against Germany in the event of war. The crew is 14 soldiers and an officer. It was never fully equipped and probably no fights took place in the vicinity of the bunker. It was abandoned and dilapidated for a long time, and it was only in 2007 that it got a second life. Thanks to the use of Pro Fortalicium, the Museum Chamber has been created and in the summer it is possible to visit the shelter. The shelter is in the register of monuments. (Original) Ciężki schron bojowy jako element II Linii Obrony Obszaru Warownego "Śląsk" w Świętochłowicach. Wybudowany w 1937 r., miał bronić blisko położonej granicy przed Niemcami na wypadek wojny. Załoga to 14 żołnierzy i oficer. Nigdy do końca nie został wyposażony i prawdopodobnie w okolicach schronu nie doszło do żadnych walk. Długo stał opuszczony i niszczał, dopiero w 2007 r. dostał drugie życie. Dzięki Stosowaniu Pro Fortalicium została utworzona Izba Muzealna i w okresie letnim można schron zwiedzać. Schron jest w rejestrze zabytków.

Heavy combat shelter of the Silesia Fortified Area. A real gem for fortification enthusiasts and others. Unfortunately, despite the visit when the shelter should be open, i.e. in our case on the first Sunday of the month from 3-7 p.m., the shelter was closed. Unfortunately, the phone number provided on Google Maps turned out to be out of date. Real shame. Maybe next time.
