If you go inside and sit with your eyes close,your breathing becomes slower than usual and you will surely experience a divine peace there......but I request you to visit the nearby dhyana Kendra and look out for panthi niwas where guruji stayed during his student life. There they will guide you to all the nearby places to see the past times of guruji

One of the best place for devotees to visit. Google done it as expected but you be sure to ask locals to confirm the rout otherwise you will end up in a narrow lane as Google has no idea about the width of your vehicle.

I visited the yss ashrams and Rai Ghat in Serampore. I can feel the divine nature.

Closed. Don’t waste your time coming here. I’m disappointed in how badly YSS / SRF is managing Master’s spiritual sites. I wish Ananda was running everything. They’re so much friendlier & easier to work with. Why is the hermitage & Yogananda’s boyhood home both closed off to pilgrims? What a waste of such a beautifully divine space. Rejection is God’s protection.

This is one of the most important shrines for Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda's disciples, where two avatars spent a lot of time in Samadhi. The space is definitely blessed. It's expected to be open from 9 am to 4:30 pm. The staff is very friendly. Sometimes the staff may be away for lunch or some other errand, keeping the gate partially open or closed. If it's partially open, you may enter. Else, you may contact the YSS Dakshineswar Ashram. Do visit the Rai Ghat lane spot where Mahavatar Babaji gave Darshan to Sri Sri Swami Sri Yukteswarji. And Anandalok Dhyana Kendra where Guruji spent some time.

So sad came all the way from California and there was no one there we tried call the phone number that wad listed but no answer. Very disappointing.
