Best place to enjoy beautiful nature.. don't travel alone please try to make a team at least 4 . Please don't pollute this place because many people are coming nowadays i have seen beer bottles and plastic wraps everywhere. And please take care of your bikes because on our trip someone took out spark plugs of four bikes... If u're going to enjoy a place then don't make others'lives difficult. Please enjoy nature don't make people helpless. And don't forget to bring food with you. Take shoes with a better grip with uh.. because rocks are super slippery. One of the finest destination of Natural Tourism Spot of Odisha. If you're travelling on 4 wheeler you'll have to walk 8 KM and if you're on a bike you'll have to walk 4 KM in the jungle. Tourists will enjoy the most after walking into the destination. Natural waterfall, water falling from more then 80 FT high roof above the AAPKHOL spot. Added some photos for viewers interest and virtual experience to the Natural Place.

No doubt, its a best place around Bargarh and Sambalpur, we did the jungle trekking of 4 km(one side) to reach the beautiful waterfalls. The scenic beauty of waterfalls made it worth to walk for miles and putting our legs in trouble. However many people come for picnic in this place and they have thrown waste, bottles and plastics nearby the waterfalls, completely messed the place. We went to the top of the waterfalls as well surrounded by huge hills. It's worth to visit this place. Bikes can reach to the waterfall point.

The serenity of the place was truly awe-inspiring. Surrounded by lush greenery, the waterfall seemed like an oasis of tranquility amidst the chaos of the world. It was as if time stood still, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the present moment, forgetting all worries and stresses.

Sana Aapkhol Waterfall is a weekend gateway for the people residing in Sambalpur & Bargarh. Good road till Nalichuan village, after which the forest trail begins, the footpath shrinks & widens within the bamboo plantation jungle. Rocky slopes, damaged paths due to runoff water it's more convenient for bikers or SUVs rather than hatchbacks. You can also visit Nalichuan Cliff which lies adjacent to it. It's reachable folowing the google map and the good part is there's network even in the dense jungle.

There is picnic spot at but, there is no water in December. Money wasted. All the photos you are seeing may be of summer or rainy season. Nice place but no water.

Awesome place to visit in Bargarh District Odisha. Be prepared before trecking because It takes a long way to reach Badd Aapkhol from Saan Aapkhol. about 4 to 5 km.

Me and my friends went to aapkhol by traveling 80 km. We were very excited to take bath there. But when we reached we saw the water fall is completely dry. My advice is don't go there after the month April. (We went to small aapkhol)

Date of Visit 10/08/2023 1. Four wheelers can easily reach there. Road is good, but be careful in rainy season, muds are everywhere, your tyres can stuck there. 2. Locals have made arrangements for paid car parking there. (it's safe, so no need to worry) 3. Locals are also providing swim wears on rental basis. it's really good if you want to go into the waters without having your cloths wet. 4. There are small food and snacks stalls where packaged water is also available. 5. Avoid going there on weekends, it's so rush there. 6. There are two (2) waterfall namely, (a) Bad Aapkhol and (b) Saan Aapkhol. I REALLY SUGGEST TO AVOID TREKKING UP TO THE BAD AAPKHOL. Coz the Trek is so dangerous. please don't take any ladies up there. 7. According to me, As compared to the Saan Aapkhol (which is in the down side) Bad Aapkhol was not so scenic. You will enjoy more in Saan Aapkhol. Be safe and keep enjoying. โค๏ธ

"Kasta Kale Krushna Mile", if this saying is true then this place is worth a visit. Located in the district of Bargarh, Aapkhol waterfall is truly a beautiful heaven in Odisha. Streams have very smooth flow and the green environment is something that you should look after. But be cautious about the path you'd follow up while climbing the mountain because it's very dangerous and steep. Make sure to place your feet at the right rocks, because most rocks are loose and and wrong step will be a life and death question. Also be prepared to walk like 8-10 kms up and down the hill .

Apkhol is a rain waterfall reside in the trophical decideous forest under debrigarh wildlife Sanctuary, in bargarh district of odisha and the destination is one of the best waterfall among all the nearby tourist place.. But unfortunately some people have fun their and leave plastic waste inside jungle which is so bad.

This low rating is only based on latest directive by the Forest Department (DFO) and due to genuine safety issues of unfamiliar trekkers. The place and the road itself is paradise though if you are a nature lover. Below are the major cons as of 2023 end: CONS: 1) The waterfall is officially closed sine die by Forest Department as of 2023 end. Forest checkposts have blocked the main road, and the last checkpost (3 km before Aapkhol) is manned and they politely caution you against taking "unofficial" shortcut forest routes either (we had mistakenly crossed one unmanned checkpost at Mendhapali). There are crude banners on trees on the way too to inform people that the waterfalls are closed. 2) Leopard sightings are common in this area and as per the forest guys, even a Royal Bengal Tiger (RBT) has been detected by camera traps in this area. Bears are common. It's not surprising because this area comes under Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary and on other side of hills is the core area which has 80 confirmed leopards & one confirmed RBT. 3) Another caution by the Forest Department -- There is high density of wild boards & sambar deer here and poachers sometimes place high power electric wires as traps (sometimes villagers do that to protect their crops). This places humans too at risk. 4) It's dense reserve forest, not a picnic spot. Even if it's officially allowed, try to go in a large group of no less than 8 people. A leopard might avoid such a group, a bear might still attack, and God bless your entire group if a tiger decides to attack. Reality is different from movies. PROS: 1) It's a forest paradise. Dense green pristine forest despite being not-so-far from nearby towns and villages (hardly 30km from Bargarh). Even our trip to the last checkpost was memorable due to the scenery (we entered from Mendhapali side. 2) It's much better than other waterfalls in Western Odisha, which are facing the negative effects of tourism and crowds. Due to it's remoteness and relative inaccessibility, this places is mostly natural. Gandhamardhan waterfalls (Kapildhar etc.) are good, but they are crowded. 3) Though now closed (due to valid reasons), it's a trekker's paradise. The trek to Aapkhol itself is mesmerising, but the 4km trek from there to Bad Aapkhol is nirvana for nature lovers as it's through dense scenic forests. SUMMARY: As responsible citizens, as well as your as for your safety, respect the forest department rules and cautions and be aware that you are entering a WILDLIFE sanctuary, not a picnic spot. Don't enter even if no forest staff is there at the checkposts to caution you.

Average water fall ..dont expect for a wow . As per the struggle to get there i would say its average but if you like dense forest and some light trekking its good.. .. bike will be more suitable than car after rain roads are challenging for cars ..
