Very nice restaurant with decent ambiance. We had lunch here and I am quite impressed with their quick service and good hospitality. We asked them to keep food not very spicy and they exactly did what we said. Food was awesome. Restaurant is quite spacious but parking space can be a problem. Washroom was neat and clean. The veg is really good here I Visit it often at special occasions since 2003 I had Kashmiri kofta lately. It’s sweet in taste but amazing. Had it with makke ki roti. Delicious 😋 Hospitality is also good Gentry is good elite

I ordered butter panner and mixed veg with Breads, okay taste of vegetables ,too much oil , but Breads were super soft and service was quick. The staff was attentive. Overall okay experience

I think this is one of the good place to eat in Dehradun. Staff is good.. food quality is good , ambience , interior of restaurant all are good. . in small place they served better .. location wise ..it's on the main road , easily visible in normal traffic. Open till 11pm . They served alcohol too. They do have one sweets shop too .. so one can understand that both are different and located at some distance from each other.

This came HIGHLY recommended and it truly lived upto its reputation. Its clean, its quick, its delish and the staff is superbly polite and considerate. The baked vegetables is yummy beyond words and servings are generous. Not to be missed if you are in Dehradun. ❤️

Taste of the food is just like before, glad they haven't compromised on the quality. Service is quick. Ambience is not peppy like the new and upcoming ones. But if it's simple delight of food i still get it here.

Nice restaurant. We had jeera rice, dal fry, mushroom soup and butter milk, costed around 800 rupees. Hospitality is nice and people are polite.

Delivered wrong ordered & when informed them they said would replace but nothing has been done. Actually asked for bhindi masala & they said not available & suggested malai kofta but delivered dry kofta. Bad n bad

Amazing food.

An long standing restaurant in Dehradun. Do visit for an old world charm and some great food. Service was amazing and the menu had a great variety. I tried their malai chaap and palak paneer. Both the chaap and the paneer was soft & tasty.

Extremely Disappointed with the reception in this restaurant. I believe the major staff is not young and active to run the business. The reception desk is extremely lagging in instructions. A very expensive and once a v good restaurant, now disappoints too often. Such a sad state.

Do try Paneer Tikka masala

We ordered amritsari paneer and bhojpuri aalo which were just amazing. I can easily say that amritsari paneer was the best paneer dish I ever had till date. Hospitality is great and so is the overall feel and atmosphere of the restaurant. Very down to earth and non fussy. Keep up and good wishes

We have been regular to the restaurant however today the arrogancy of Kamal Negi has definitely effected Kumar restaurant loyal customer. On asking for correction/ amendment to bill, all of the service boy and managers were firmed that once the bill is generated, cannot be changed. One person out of all who was not sitting at Cashier, still identified himself as Kamal was arrogant to the core. On asking Owners contact no., they all were shying away. Such people shouldn't be employed as these are service and hospitality based industry where the Customer is given due respect and the issues are resolved amicably.

Unfortunately I dont have any photos cause, I was not happy with the taste. I the only reason I am giving 3 stars is that the main course was just about good enough to avoid walking out on them and make then look bad.

Kumar foods has fallen from its old grace and quality of food, ambience and service. Everything was substandard and served without care for the comfort of the customer. The Palak and Mushroom soup we ordered was absolutely pathetic and bad tasting. We had to insist on being served the food, which was brought and kept on the table and the staff was almost walking away. The loud modern English music was incongruous with the old world and slightly archaic staff attitude... It needs to either modernise itself or stay in the old world. The music of Brian Silas in the restaurant is a distant memory of its past glory

One can trust the Kumar Chain for good food. They have not placed tables in a section of the ground floor (perhaps due to Covid norms) but some of the existing tables can be placed there to make appear less crowded

Food was not tasty. Yellow daal had no taste. Kadhai paneer had a runny gravy. Only tandoori roti was good. For just these three things we paid 1k and did not find it value for money... Ambience was okay. Family outing kind... Staff was also cordial.

Average Food. Don't expect much. We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Baked Vegetables, Chilly Veg, Choley and Breads. Out of all this, I only liked Baked Vegetables.

Still one of the best vegetarian restaurant present in dehradun. Has a very old history. need to try veg chowmin at least once

Good restaurant to eat south Indian food

Love the food and the Price is soo affordable. I had a South Indian platter which has a really sweet Dahi wade. Loved it

Had dinner with my family here, really a good restaurant. Decent ambience, food was really good and a lot of variety for both veg and non-veg was there. Impressed by the hospitality and service by the staff. Overall a great experience.

Decent ambience with amazing service. Staff is friendly and have optimum seating capacity to host large grps. Only one con i noticed was the exhorbitent prices of food items which was wasn't worth tasting.

The food at Kumar vegetarian is usually good. It's one of the oldest restaurants in town and offers vegetarian options only. Their paneer preparations are highly recommended. The bread basket is much better than other places with soft yet crispy rotis, naans, kulcha, etc . However, the veg biryani which I had ordered this time was not that great. They also serve South Indian and Chinese cuisine.

Kumar foods has been our favorite family restaurant for over 25 years. It reminds one of Pandara Road restaurants in terms of food and ambience. The staff is extremely courteous and good staple mughalai and punjabi Chinese food is served in good portions. All tandoori starters are amazing. The restaurant requires a rehaul as it now looks jaded. vibrant new interiors would bring back the glory which it used to have.

A good family restaurant with humble and friendly staff.. Washrooms are on the upper floor which can be a problem for senior citizens though. Overall it has good food quality and ambience. Stopped here on our way to Mussorie n enjoyed the stuff and kheema parathas.. They have a good spread with lots of options in nothing indian, continental and Chinese cuisines...

The outlet is at convenient location, parking is a bit tricky. Food is good, service is ok and drinks are not so expensive. Nothing fancy and nothing much special.
