Doon Darbar is a predominantly Non Vegetarian speciality Restaurant in Dehradun. We visited this particular branch in Gandhi Road. We ordered 1. Chicken Biryani which was indeed a delicacy with sublime flavours. Quantity offered is ample - Full is enough for 2 persons. 10/10 2. Tandoori Chicken which was spicy and savoury. 10/10 3. Kheer was dense and thorough enjoyable, they are served in small earthen plates. 10/10 4. Chicken Shawarma- It was a bummer. Not upto the mark, filling was not why generally what we expect of sharwarma, it felt like chicken roll and is entirely avoidable. 1/10 Staff is cordial and service is fast. Seating capacity is ample. Parking is not available as is the case with congested Dehradun.

Good taste. Had chicken seekh Kabab. Chicken biryani, Butter chicken and butter naan. Authentic taste. Owners need to focus on hygiene as cockroaches can be seen in restaurant. Onion rings served was unclean.

Not at all worth it. Expensive food with so bad taste. If you go with your family order 4 nos of each item because according to them a full paneer means 1/4. (The photo is when I ordered 1 full chicken lollipop).I am sure you will get a lot more better options than this and if this is the last option... staying hungry is the best option .

Pathetic Service. Itna bada setup aur 4-5 waiter. Are you people running a restaurant or ridiculing your customers. I've been to many dine in places but this was my worst experience ever. Mai honestly bahar se is jagah ka board, ambience and food quality ke expectations se aaya tha. But the below average level of their waiter service spoiled a supposedly good dine in experience I was about to have with my people. Khana bahut acha tha no doubt the quality of Shawarma was exquisite. But as already mentioned the waiters were very unprofessional and casual in their work ethics. A word to the owner- If you're running such a huge and wonderful dine in setup waiters ke bhi number badhao. It's better people just order online from here because their dine in service is way too pathetic. Maine galti ki, ki mai yaha aya. Pet to bhar gaya but mann kharab ho gaya. Please try to take this criticism as an eye opener to improve your customer service.

Everyone has recommended this place for dinner. Just half km from clock towet. Kebabs are amazing. Their best dish is spl changezi chicken with tandoori roti/rumali. Non veg is halal. & in sweets gulab jamun is the best.

Non-veg eaters' paradise in Dehradun. There is a rush after 7 pm, so reach on time for very prompt delivery. Their biryani was splendid, as was their chicken changrezi and kebabs. On their vegetarian items, their paneer changrezi is good too, though not as good as their chicken apparently. There is no parking nearby, so park two or three lanes back. Their kulfi is terrific. Their service is very good, and their food quality is good as well.

Doon Darbar Restaurant on Gandhi Road is a wonderful dining destination for anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with friendly service and a warm ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The food at Doon Darbar is truly outstanding, with a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available. Each dish is made with fresh and high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are authentic and mouthwatering. The restaurant's signature dish, Butter Chicken, is a must-try for anyone who enjoys rich and creamy curries. The service at Doon Darbar is also top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who are always happy to answer any questions and make recommendations. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with comfortable seating and pleasant decor that create a relaxing dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Doon Darbar Restaurant to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. Visiting this restaurant since more than 10 years now. Go to this place if you want to taste authentic Mughlai food which in terms of taste, is very close to Old Delhi restaurants. Staff is polite and food is served very quickly. They have different section for packaging so you don't have to wait in line. They have a proper waiting section as well where you can wait while waiting for your food to get packed. The place can be slightly costly depends upon your budget but do try this restaurant at least once just for it's authentic taste. Do try their Mutton Korma and Chicken Shawarma as well. These are the highest sellers. Overall, perfect place to go with friends and family to enjoy authentic taste.

The quality of the food is very poor. We didn’t like the taste of the food at all. We ordered biryani, chicken butter masala, butter nun, tandoori roti & plain rice. The quality of the rice was very very bad. Butter chicken is one of the easiest dishes to cook but I didn’t like their preparation of the foods at all. Only the service of this place was quick. I dodge recommend this place and neither I’ll visit again.

If I say right, as I knew that the name is very famous.doon darbar I didn't feel like it after eating food. I ate veg food and I did not feel tasty at all.We get better food than this in any roadside dhaba Yes, I had eaten chicken biryani here last year. I like this and seekh kebab also. To be honest, I did not understand at all the taste here! I am a food lover and would give good rating to good food. I will give useless eating to waste food. Even if that food is not from road side stall or street food. I had ordered butter naan at Doon Darbar.I was given yeast bread by applying butter. I asked the waiter, is it butter naan? So he said that our butter naan is like this.🤣

Here the chicken is not even cooked properly, just make it raw and feed it to the people, the blood is clearly visible. Service is very useless for them here, it takes so much time for bread to come, so many people sitting hungry keep on patience.

I had the unfortunate experience of taking away at this non-vegetarian restaurant, and it was a complete disappointment. The chicken in my dish tasted stale and had a strange, unpleasant odor. To make matters worse, the naan served alongside was burnt to a crisp. It's clear that quality control is sorely lacking in this establishment. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal.

Many friends recommended this place to me to dine out. Had been to dehradun many times, only this time got the chance to visit. Quite close to the clock tower, so very crowded place. Parking issue if you are going in a car. Service is good, neat and clean place. Tried Chicken Shawarma and few veg dishes, they were good. But didn't found out as amazing as its popularity.

No doubt the food is amazing , but the owner or manager should deeply focus on good service. We were sitting on dirty table for 10 minutes but no one came to clean it , though we called them 3 to 4 times . I know there is lot of rush but you need to attend all the customers fast . After 10 minutes my table was cleaned but the person who took order took more 5 miss to come. At total we waited around 35 to 40 minutes for our food. The owner should increase staff or appoint a superviser who will look at this.

Good place to have dinner at Dehradun. Paneer tikka was so succulent soft and tasty. Seekh kabab was good but was bit cloying imo. Ambience was not that good. Server takes their time to attend the customers.

The place is nice....the food awesome....the service is not so fast...We went there and had to wait a lot for our order. I think they should increase their staff. Plus the chicken was very spicy.... We had to tell the staff 5-6 to get us lassii.... The restaurant is big...but management team is small ig. Rest their khamiri roti was awesome.

Tried there butter chicken which was out of this world. This place offers delicious food. The good thing about this place is that it's not that expensive. There prices are kept at a decent range so that students can afford them easily. This place serves Halal. This is where all kinds of people unite irrespective of their religion.

If you are a non veg lover it is a very good option in the middle of the city . You can enjoy food with family or friends . But on peak hours you have to wait for some time because there is so much of rush there. Overall restaurant is good , food is tasty one of the major concern is they have to improve their services it would be better. Enjoy the butter chicken here.........

Found this as one of the best restaurants in Dehradoon. The food is super delicious, the quantity is more than sufficient, and the staff behavior is very polite. The taste is authentic. The prices are also decent for budget-friendly people compared to the taste and quality of service. Overall, the perfect place to go with friends and family to enjoy authentic taste.

If you are a non-vegetarian lover than I highly recommend you to visit Dehradun's best nonveg restaurant. The taste is incomparable with any other restaurants. The rate is decent and the taste is best.

Doon darbar needs no introduction. We went to have nonveg food and we really loved it. Only chicken lollipop was something which was not good enough but rest of all items were super tasty. They do not have parking so people have to park on road side which may lead to traffic.
