This is easily my favourite south Indian place in dehradun by far. The service, the ambience, the food, everything is just immaculate. I can't imagine anyone hating this place it's just that good. I absolutely love their food and cannot count how many times I've been here. There are two outlets in doon and personally i prefer the one near crossroads. The food is out of this world and the low prices are just cherry on top. The service is exceptional as well. This is my go to restaurant everytime I feel like having south Indian food. Love this place. The Mysore dosa and masala idli have to be my favourites and their chaii is just delicious. I hope to visit soon.

I thought its a chain of the same original Udupi Restaurants and café.. Was disappointed to know its just a replica. I asked the manager how old was the place and he said its an year old and when i looked at the client reviews it was showing 9000 + CLINET reviews.. Am not sure how these guys could manipulate and go to that extent. Also the food was not to the standards we expected, quality of service and staff behavior and sensitivity towards client request was missing. Said that , filter coffee was good. First south Indian chain which serves choley bhaturey.. They have put a board which states give a review and get pineapple halwa free.. not the way to get client feedback.

Visited in May 2022 For taste: 5/5 I was on wait for more than 15minutes which was not good for me. As they have enough and well dressed staffs Price is lit bit more but it's okay as less South Indian cafe's are present in dehradun. Service was very good after receiving order. They have other branches too in dehradun. Personally for 2 person you need to spend 300-400

We visited this café on the suggestion of our bus driver. I must say it was a superb idea. The food and service were excellent and so was the hygiene of the place. The washrooms and dining area were all spick and span. We ordered masala dosa, cheese dosa, Bombay special dosa and uttapam along with filter coffee. Everything tasted excellent. There was an offer of free pineapple halwa on posting a good review on google but they deserve all the praise for good food and service.

Visiting here for the second time in less than a month. There is parking available right outside the restaurant. Just ask the restaurant staff to help you park. The restaurant is crowded in the evenings but you don't have to wait for long. Food is fresh and tasty. The staff is courteous and even offered to replace my meal when I mentioned it was too spicy. The spicy thing was mentioned in the menu itself though. There is a lot of noise from passing vehicles but still it's a good experience being here. It rained today so the chill in the air made it a more memorable experience.

Delicious south Indian food.I tried dosa and loved it. Crispy and warmly served dosa was a symphony in my mouth. The rates are also reasonable and the staff is really polite. The restaurant is very clean and also follows covid protocols

I have been visiting this place for last three years. Tried out every possible south Indian dish here. Immaculately prepared. Since I have a second home at Bengaluru i can compare dishes. Great place for veggies. Come one and with family. It will be a wonderful experience.

Ordered Idli Sambhar and Vada Sambhar from them. Was good in taste, it came along with Sambhar and Coconut Chutney. Packaging was also good. Really enjoyed the same, had some good South Indian Food in Dehradun after ages. One advice to the restaurant if they could send more portions of sambhar with delivery orders as the current portion does not suffice.

Good food but price is quite high and service is a little slow. We tried dosa, upma and momos . Food taste was nice. Ambience is also quite good. They played soothing songs.

Nice ambience. Food is good. Filter coffee takes back to memory lane. The flip side, service is slow. I wonder how they deal with customers during peak hours. Service needs to be super fast. I'm giving 2 stars less for service.

Authentic south indian food in Dehradun after a long time, really good. Soft idlis, hot vadas and a variety of dosas. Topped with Pineapple Halwa and filter kapi. Very nice service, thank you Yash.

I am writing my experience comparing other Udupi restaurants in the city. I have been this outlet earlier also. EC road outlet is the best and authentic taste wise. Now This cafe is redesigned and renovated. Comparing previous design , now it is well spaced and refreshing. This time I tried chaat and Gol gappe. Trust me these were superb. I really like the hygiene level on serving gol gappas. No other thing replace gol gappa🤓 Further I ordered butter plan Dosa which is my favourite usually. Sambhar along with chatni were awesome taste wise. Red chatni I think sabse best he. I also had Vada and trust me Vadas were fantastic. At last we tried Udupi’s vanilla shake. That comes in Cans basically and taste wise superb.. At last I liked taste and ambiance of the Udupi EC Road. So I would like to recommend this for family as well as South Indian food lovers… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It is the place not to miss if you are a pure vegetarian. Great homely taste. Nice ambiance. All dishes are mouth watering if you are a south indian food lover. The Authenticity is maintained not only in the food menu and the taste, but also in the ambience, hygiene and most importantly the friendly service.

Good taste, had there paneer dosa and masala dosa, the only problem in my opinion is paneer dosa has little amount of paneer and masala dosa need to be improved however sambhar , chuttney everything was great...but quantity need to be increased because the main content of dosa was very less in quantity and the papad part was large in quantity as u can see in the picture

#honestreview Didn't feel like trying anything else after the dosa. Recently went to Udupi for the first time after a friend's recommendation & now we know what kind of friends to stay away from! The outlet has a decent ambiance with options for both AC & non-AC but they missed out on a part which is kinda important for a food outlet- taste of food. Tried Mysore masala dosa which was just good enough to fill our stomachs. Lime sodas came to the rescue & we couldn't really risk ordering anything else. Summing it up, try it once if you want to but there are definitely better options for South-Indian food in Doon. Maybe it was just a bad day for us so let us know your reviews in the comments below. Food is quite tasty and ambience is also good. They play beautiful/soothing songs , so you enjoy the food there. But i felt the service was little slow and it was pricey. We had dosa, Vada which were good. But momos were not great. It's good for south indian food.

It's a brightly done up spacious restaurant for south Indian cuisine. There are few parking slots in front of the restaurant but one can park veh on the other side of the road too. The idlis were very soft and the uttapams ( onion and tomato ) were good. However, the tomato uttapam plus sambhar and tomato chutney were a little too sour put together so other uttapams would be a better choice. Filter coffee was a bit of a disappointment.

If u r missing south Indian cuisine in Dehradun..then Udupi is a place.Masala dosa was yumm and so was the utappam.staff is quite humble.we enjoyed coming up here.wud love to come here again

Food is so authentic and the staff is very polite and responsive. We had a very delightful experience here at Udupi . I have been to Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Chennai but the taste here in Dehradun is too good.

Was looking for south Indian food in Dehradun and Google showed me up this place. Seeing the number of ratings I went to this place.. We ordered Thatte idli and an onion tomato Uttappam. Being a south Indian i can definitely say the taste is not what you get in south. The Thatte idli was not the way it is in Bidadi which they claim. The gun powder was sweet which did not taste good. The Sambhar and the red chutney also did not taste good. The coconut chutney was ok. The Uttappam was nice but the size was way smaller than what it is normally served. Also, the reviews in google are a business tactic by the management. If you review them on Google they give you 2 bites of pineapple halwa complimentary. Over pricey menu as well.

Heard of Udupi cafe very much. Madrasi Dosa is best there! But the service needs to get improvised.

The service is ridiculous. 1. 2 guest waited for 5 minitues in dineout space unless 2 of them went inside including myself, to ask if we have to order by ourselves? 2. The waiter took my plate without looking or asking me, if I had finished. I was finishing the sambar and chutney, while typing the first point of this review. :) But before I could understand and say anything ...she is already gone. Food taste was average compared to other outlet. Definitely the taste is different. Really disappointed today at this outlet. I had to order idli because at 12:45Am. Was told Ordering a mini thali will take 20-25 minitues. YES also even an Upma !! (20-25min) This was unexpected and unacceptable. *This review is not for a Free Pineapple Halwa* as advertised on posters in the dining space. Please review the older posts. The services has been unacceptable before also and had been flagged.

Visiting Dehradun, you can't miss the Udupi cafe off ECC road. A fav stop for visitors and locals. I must say great food and all star for that. A craving for South Indian, this one is recommended for the nice food and you can be sure of that. However rated 3 by me for the overall look and upkeep of the place. The place has undergone some changes in terms of look n feel and now seems more airy, spacious. The colors are vibrant and inviting and so is the staff. The one that gives way is the old furniture, something that got skipped in the owners list while making the changes to the place. I won't shy away from saying, it is shouting for a change. However all of this is ignored when you sit to have the food. A good option for quick bites and South Indian. This is the only one on ECC road and you can't miss it. Happy eating.....

Edit - possibly my last parcel from udupi. The quantity is reduced very drastically. Not much difference between chutney and Sambhar bowl. Not sure how is 1 supposed to have 2 ildi's with such less quantity of sambhar. They have increased the branded packaging cost and the cuts are made on the consumers end. Pictures added. Huge waiting time for packing orders. The person on reception can be a little warm. Please check your dosa before leaving as twice my order was burnt when open at home

Amazing Dosas. Haven't tried anything else but the dosas (each one on the menu) are awesome. The service is a little slow though as the place is usually very crowded. Sometimes you'll have to wait for a table, but it's worth it.

The place is clean and tidy. There's service i s really fast. We ordered 5 masala dosas and was served within 8 minutes. Way faster than expected. And the coffee. Can't express it in words. That was heavenly.

South Indian food = Udupi cafe The only place that strike to my mind whenever I thing of food these days is Udupi! It was way hard to find a restruant who not only have good food, but also a amazing service and systematic operations to serve the customers to its bestest way possible. I have ordered online, visited offline and I can vouch for the quality that Udupi ensures! I have created tons of referrals unknowingly which includes my friends! Very popular eatery in Dehradun serving South Indian food. We ordered upma and dahi vada. The upma was 4/5. Dahi vada was 3/5 sambhar was avoidable. The chutneys served were good. Dahi vada lacked Kara boondi and there was a hajmola type masala on it. The service is excellent with a majority of women staff. Overall 3/5 experience. Tip. Limited parking in front of the restaurant.

I expected a little better as it was the most popular in south indian dish in doon apart from other who serve the same dishes. But things came out to be little disappointed for me . The stuffing was little centralised at a single place which cannot be eaten together with dosa as it was too crunchy for me.
