This is a place unique to Dehradun... it has soul. It has a certain quaintness, lack of ambition, and commercialisation. It is boutique and, most importantly, run entirely by women. Kind women. Chilled out vibes, beautiful coffee, decent bakery and food, and a pretty nursery to soothe your senses. Wish they had local food too in their menu to treat a traveller's palette as well...

Great view but unpalatable food . Yes! We went to a famous cafe in Rajpur, enjoyed cool breeze in their terrace area had a muh full of strong cold coffee. P.S That's how we like it, but when it came to the food, well continue reading. . A mexican veg wrap, cheese sandwich, white sauce pasta, veg noodles and crunchy Chinese salad(Wai Wai & coleslaw). @chhayacafedoon . Instant regret! Veg wrap was unbelievably mexican stuffing inside a roti. Yes! a roti. Cheese sandwich was bread roasted in butter with cheese inside. We had deliberately asked the staff whether it had veggies inside. Yes! They said. Noodles were okayish and salad was a new taste some people would like. Now the pasta. Each of us(4 people) had few bites of pasta which had a hint of pickle taste for inexplicable reasons and that was it for us. After paying a handsome amount for the food we had to leave we all had something funny going on in our stomach for hours after that. . . Food: 6/10 Drinks: 8/10 (we just tried coffee) Ambiance: 8/10 . For what it's worth(view) just have a coffee and stay away from the food. We would recommend the staff to either carry on with their decor business or atleast put some efforts into the kitchen and not just exploit the view they've got.

The view that you get from Chhaya cafe is unmatchable. Just order a nice, warm cappuccino, get yourself a couple of good books and enjoy the Himalayan view on a monsoon evening and chill. This is exactly what I did and absolutely loved my time here. Although, I did not eat anything, but the sheer quiet and tranquil time I spent here during the evening was enough for me to warrant a come back, which I shall be doing soon. Like, really soon. Good coffee, superb ambience and awesome view makes up for every stress and tension that you might have in your life! ❤️

Amazing views specially if you are a local and remember the old Rispana valley beside Rajpur town. The food is typical street style from Doon of 90s in terms of taste and may be like by everyone. Coffee is good. Pizza are descent. Sakshuka is acquired taste. Bakery stuff could improve. Coming here was such a nice experience. The interiors are really beautiful with a panoramic view of the mountains. I really recommend you try the coffee mocha, it was so delicious. There’s seating outside, perfect to catch some sunlight and eat delicious food.

I loved the vibe of this cafe ... it has more of a quiet workplace ambience where you can sit with your laptop enjoy your work with decent food along with beautiful ambience . Food was okayish but its cool green vibe overcomes that .

This cafe has one of the best views. A 180 degree Mountain View. And above that I love that they give good real cappuccino at very decent rate. Go to any other up to par coffee shop and you will get a coffee for 200-250 But here the same this is for around a 100. Why will I mind paying half the price for something with double better ambience and view.. So I go here for most of my meetings...

Food is luscious but the biggest disappointment was toasted bagels with jam. Chicken momos were delicious and the chutney was piquant. Pizza was OK. They serve self made bread, cookie u can try them too just for rs. 15 or 20 each. Price of bagels are not good according to the quality of it but otherwise it’s affordable. Lassi, apple mojito and coffee were also good.The place is cozy, ample of seating space. It has roof top seating and indoor seating aswell. The view from the roof is just mesmerising, the mountains , the serenity. It look even more beautiful in eve. Place is not easy to reach.ambience is good. Staff is polite . Service is quick. Interior is admirable. Must visit. Closed on monday.

The cafe was one of my favourite place in Rajpur….but the service is getting worse day by day..staff is bit careless and rude. The service is slow.. they take their work very lightly. And to be honest…most of my friends have stopped coming to this place because the weird staff…even food quality is also declining..and i hope next time they don’t put coconut in momo. The 5 star is only for my past experience but the present Chhaya is totally different..

It has a very appealing ambience both in the outside and insides. The food is not worth the price. I even had a string of hair in my chicken bun, which they replaced after the complaint. The brownies are perfect with a cup of cappuccino but rest of the food item, I believe can be improved. This warming cafe by the road to Mussoorie, which has this beautiful ambience inside as well as at the extra space outside. The Dark Chocolate Patisserie has a chalky texture. It has a naturally loaded antioxidants, along with its intense flavour profile, which makes it our favourite dessert of the place. The Walnut Brownie has a fudgy taste chocolate taste. It was literally created by drastically reducing the amount of flour in a chocolate cookie and the walnuts were perfectly smooth to crunch. Thanks! Team World full of Food

I don't know why this place is so hyped. Except for the view from the cafe, I don't like anything. Not their food, not their hospitality. Very casual behaviour with the customers. We ordered veg wrap and they literally serve rajma wrapped in roti, no specific sauces or cheese. Also their cafe opening is not fixed.. I heard many times about this place, so I wanted to visit it. Every time I went there it was found closed. One day finally It was opened when I experienced that rajma roti in place of wrap. A big no to this cafe. I never want to visit this place again

This cafe has a boutique located at the entrance which consists of hand block printed garments coloured with natural dyes and accessories made by local artisans. You walk on a small bridge to the cafe which opens to mesmerizing views of Dehradun valley just below. The evenings are beautiful and slightly chill. The food and service are good and I would love to revisit soon.

If you are in Doon, you must visit this place at least once. It is beautiful cafe located in the Old Mussoorie Road with a great view but make sure you reach there before sunset because you will get a great view only during day and evening. And also the cafe gets closed by 8 PM so make sure to be there before that. We ordered chicken pasta, veg noodles, mint mojito, cold coffee and chicken momos along with carrot walnut cake. Everything was good except for chicken pasta. Quantity is sufficient for 3 but it lacked the white sauce taste.. Otherwise everything else was up to the mark.

This is my go to cafe in this city. I go here mostly for work. Believe me this is the best place in Dehradun if you want to have a coffee and get lost with your work.

For me it's home away from home. You order anything here and it's fantastic!! Super hospitality and ambience. I can recommend here anything, carrot cake, walnut cakes, ginger lemon honey tee, any south Indian dish (especially sambar is something next level) !! It's simply fantastic.

It is a cafe with a beautiful scenic view. Prefer two wheeler as parking a car maybe difficult. The view is really amazing. The food is delicious...The staff is polite and well mannered. The pasta and pancake is really amazing. They have outdoor as well as indoor seating. I would prefer outdoor seating because of the view.

The best place to spend some quality time with friends and loved ones away from the city life while sipping some coffee or tea whatever you love. Amazing location.
