A fine place to visit for outsiders and locals. It's not a proper zoo with lots of wild animals kept in captivity. Just a few exotic ones are kept here. Good number of reptiles (snakes) and a fish aquarium is part of the charm here. A fine place to bring your kids for an outing.

Great to see the diversity. Beautifully decorated. Very neat and clean. I saw people throwing garbage and destroying the beauty please don't do that. Here what you will see - birds, ostriches, monkey, leopard named Rani, many wild species, snakes(black cobra, python) and small playing are for kids. Go enjoy the beauty of nature. Have a good day. Take care of yourself during Corona. Take precautions.

Nice place to spend time. There is also an aquarium and a cactus garden there for which you have to buy the separate tickets The zoo was completely clean and hygienic. Overall a very good place to spend some time or have a picnic. Will definitely recommend visiting this place.

The entry ticket is 30 per person, with separate tickets for Rock garden is for 10 rupees, Aquarium is for 20 rupees, Snakes are for 30 rupees. With just a total of 90 rupees i had a great experience and exposure to the animal world. I really enjoyed the zoo, although it's small with less animals but it's worth it. Nice place to spend time with lots of birds, snakes, aquatic life, as well as deer and leopard in the form of animals. There is also a cactus garden and a lot of beautiful flowers. Very clean and hygienic. Overall a very good place to spend some time or have a picnic. There is also a nice garden with fountain and colorful plastic art work near he entrance. Will definitely recommend visiting this place. Food is not allowed inside, even water bottles though allowed they take a rs.10 deposit so that we do not litter inside the zoo

Zoo was very clean, well maintained. You can't forget the huge snake which was like anaconda. Animals was bit less but good change for kids and even adult kids. Free entry for kids below 12 years. For adults Rs 30 only. There is ample parking area with toilet and drinking water facilities inside the zoo.

The Dehradun Zoo, previously known as The Dear Park is a beautiful place to visit with your family. The entrance is only 30 rps. For an adult. Extra 50 rps. For Aquarium and extra 10 rps. For Cactus Garden and the Snake World is included in entry(no extra money) that means a total of 90 rps. Per person. Free entry for children up to 12 years. For parking it's rps. 15 for two wheelers and rps. 30 from four wheelers. Plenty of parking. There are a variety of birds, snakes and fishes. Swings and slides for children. A fun place for children and parents. Couples can also enjoy the beauty of animals and birds while appreciating nature. A toilet facility is also available. You cannot bring any kind of food inside the Zoo. There is a canteen outside the Zoo with a variety of food. For details check the photos and videos shared below. Must visit for your own experience. I went with my friends and really enjoyed it. Four stars from my side, 1 less because there is space for improvement. For weekends there is a lot of crowd which I think they shouldn't allow after a particular amount of people, so that everybody can enjoy to their fullest.

Nothing in this world is cuter than baby animals. There activities and same experience we got while in zoo. Although I don't favour animals 🐵🐔🐶🐷 zoo and I am personally against any type of animal cruelty but in current scenario where forest were being left at nowhere the only place to see these animals are are reserved areas and Zu malsi Deer Park is one of the the zoo located in city of Dehradun initially it's limited to conservation of deers but with the time goes on new name comes as a Dehradun zoo or malsi Deer Park ,you can watch a variety of animals over there Some of them are Indian species .wild snakes some of birds are of Indian origin as well as other of distinct origin from other continents as well as countries one thing I like about this place is that ppl there will take care of animals and birds very well special charitable donation program is ongoing as per one can adopt any creature for a year .in terms of security and cleanliness it's a wonderful place special attractions include Bird section snake section character section as well as aquarium why should definitely visit this place there is a small kid play zone also they offer 3D movie but nowadays closed due to covid protocols so visit this place and enjoy

Zoo location is really nice with small hills, there are many birds and more then 30 types of fish. Wheel chair accessible, parking is available. Zero plastic zone area. If you want to take your plastic bottle inside you need to submit ten rupees, however you don't need that as there is enough water station inside the zoo. Toilet is also clean. I think there should be tiger. Also in one tree and one fountain the decoration is using by plastic which is unnecessary. Overall enjoyable and green.

An awesome, big and beautiful park. It's a place that is a must to visit. Closed on Mondays. Open on other days from 9 to 5. There's an aquarium, cactus garden, snakes, birds and some animals. The food items aren't that good but it's fine. It's a big place. And it's very interesting. Please do visit

Nestled in the heart of Dehradun, the Dehradun Zoo stands as a testament to the city's commitment to wildlife conservation and providing a delightful experience for visitors. I recently visited this charming zoo with my family, and it turned out to be a morning well spent in the midst of nature's wonders. One of the standout features of the Dehradun Zoo is its impeccable cleanliness. From well-maintained pathways to pristine enclosures, the attention to cleanliness adds to the overall appeal of the zoo. The lush greenery and thoughtfully landscaped areas create a serene environment that enhances the overall experience. The zoo is divided into different sections, each offering a unique glimpse into the diverse world of wildlife. The Aviary section is a bird lover's paradise, showcasing a vibrant array of feathered species. Walking through this section, we marveled at the vivid plumage and melodious chirps, making it a captivating experience for both adults and children. The Herbivore section features a variety of herbivorous animals, from graceful deer to majestic antelopes. The spacious enclosures provide a comfortable habitat for these animals, allowing visitors to observe them in a natural setting. Educational displays provide valuable information about the different species, making it an enriching experience for families. The Carnivore section is a thrilling highlight, featuring big cats like lions and tigers. The well-designed enclosures ensure the safety of both visitors and the animals, allowing for an up-close encounter with these magnificent creatures. The zoo's commitment to providing a natural and secure environment for its residents is evident in this section. For families with children, the Children's Park is a delightful addition. Equipped with play areas and interactive exhibits, it offers a perfect blend of education and entertainment. My family thoroughly enjoyed the playful atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for young ones to expend their energy while learning about wildlife. Tips for travelers: 1. **Morning Visit:** Plan your visit in the morning to take advantage of the fresh and pleasant atmosphere. Animals tend to be more active during this time, providing a livelier experience. 2. **Comfortable Attire:** Wear comfortable clothing and footwear, as you may need to walk around the zoo. A hat and sunscreen can also be beneficial, especially on sunny days. 3. **Pack Snacks:** Bring along some snacks and water to stay energized throughout your visit. There are designated areas where you can take a break and enjoy a picnic. 4. **Photography:** Don't forget your camera! The zoo's picturesque settings and diverse wildlife offer excellent photo opportunities. 5. **Respect Wildlife:** While observing the animals, maintain a respectful distance and avoid feeding them. Follow the zoo's guidelines to ensure the well-being of both visitors and residents. In conclusion, the Dehradun Zoo is a gem in the city, offering a clean and well-maintained space for families to connect with nature. It's a must-visit for those seeking a blend of education, recreation, and a memorable time with loved ones.

Dehradun Zoo has vibrant animals, birds, snakes that you have never seen with your naked eyes.. Ticket pricing is decent and it can be a good, fun gateway for you and your family. Situated at Mussurie road before pestle weed college.

Good place to hang out with family. Kids love this place. A variety of animals are there just makes this super cool with all the greenery and Park for kids. There is enough Parking spaces. Tickets will be available at the entrance, don't remember the price but they are worth it as compare to the visuals. There is a cafeteria and drinking water tank available. There is one separate section for aquarium and the tickets are available at their entrance. Beware of monkeys, do not irritate them and they will do nothing. Washroom is available. It will take around 2 hrs to get a full tour of this place.

This zoo en route to Mussoorie is a small zoo with handful of animals. Take a 30-minute stroll and you'll cover it all. For locals, it is a nice picnic place in winter afternoons. The ticket fee is INR 30. There's am aquarium area too, inside which has a separate fee of INR 50. You can see leopard, crocodiles, alligators, emus, ostriches, turkeys, some snakes and birds here.

Formerly known as Malsi Deer Park, it has been rechristened as Dehradun Zoo a few years ago ! Though nothing has changed much since then. You get to see some birds, snakes, deer, panther, crocodiles and an aquarium ! Limited adventure activities are also offered. Remains crowded on weekends but has some parking space available ! Some efforts from administration are required to make it better !

Quite good in that small size category. Well maintained With flowers and having lots of greeneries. There's a fun park for children's with activities and adventure park for adults like rope climbing. I liked the snake and riptile's side. Being small in size major animals like elephant giraffe zebras Rhinos are missing. But there's 2 leopard and Few spotted deer and barking deer. They should have a collective ticket for all The section but you have you have to buy separate tickets for aquarium(50/- each person) and cactus house (10/- person) Apart from these you can click some good photos there. The connectivity is good with less public transport, if you have personal vehicle then it's good for you.

Aquarium Rs 50 (NEVER WENT )along with that cactus park cost Rs 20 which I don't care much about.

This Zoo has lot of small corners for kids and adults to enjoy, recommended place for familes and friends. Not a very big fan of seeing animals in a cage even though animals look quite content with it. Apart from that the staff has maintained cleanliness everywhere inside. Landscaping is very well planned. Lot of photo ops are created.

Dehradun Zoo is a delightful place to spend quality time with children or enjoy a family day out. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the variety of birds and animals on display make it an educational and enjoyable experience. However, there's room for improvement in their canteen service, which could enhance the overall visitor experience.

I've had a great experience, really worth it. The entry ticket is 30 per person Rock garden is for 10 rupees. Aquarium is for 20 rupees Snakes are for 30 rupees With just a total of 90 rupees i had a great experience and exposure to the animal world. The animals there are happy and kept in safe and sound environment. Proper food and care is provided, so near and clean place. I really enjoyed the zoo, although it's small but it's worth it.

A nice clean area, lush forests with a wide varieties of birds. You'll get to see a reptile house, an aquarium museum having a wide variety of fishes. You'll also get to see macaws, alligators, crocodiles and ostriches. The zoo also has deers and leopards. Trust me you won't be disappointed. The best time to visit is during the mornings. As by afternoons most of the reptiles become lazy and sleepy. So if you wanna catch a king cobra Or a pit viper looking up at you then mornings are the best time. The entry fee is Rs. 30 for adults. The aquarium has a separate entry fee of Rs. 50 for adults.

It was just good to visit it once, I was expecting more from this place as it's a zoo, but there was just deer, birds, crocodiles, some snakes etc, it's can't be called as a zoo, as no big animal was there. Aquarium was good. Ticket was for 90 rs for a person which included aquarium and cactus garden tickets as well. How to reach: You can reach there by bus but need to wait long for that, you can book a cab online but in returning you will not be able to find one, so best way is to book a auto for a round trip.

Nice place to visit with children's. Good collection of birds, deers, snakes, fishes, etc .. 2 lepeard also available. Neat & clean place, well maintained...... Place for children's to play. Seperate place for adults adventure activities. Enjoyed a lot..... On Sundays parking will be difficult inside the zoo.

Place is good, snakes were new this time(for me). Post this point, review is from kids point if view. Fishes were mostly under maintenance, the price should be less if all the available are not functional. Rest they should come up with more activity for children. Crocodiles are mostly invisible to kids due to large fencing.
