This zoological park is one of the main attractions in Dehradun, located at Mussoorie Road approx. 10 km from Dehradun main city (between Dehradun and Mussoorie.) 1. Even the location (located at the foothill forest of mountain) of this park has many breathtaking picturesque views. 2. It has different beautiful birds, and deer (Sambar deer, two-horned deer and Nilgai deer). 3. Beside entry fees, there is separate tickets for aquarium (has many types of fishes). Huge rush on weekends. MUST VISIT

It's a great place to explore. If you are going first time then I think you have to buy all tickets except cactus plants ticket because it's just waste. If you have to click good photos or make vlog than you should buy aquarium ticket. Which is most expensive among all tickets (50 when I visited). I think it will sum up under 120-150 if you visit all places.

At entrance you can see a Fun park for kids with several swings installed. There is a beautiful Aviary 😍 where you can find several Birds species. You will need 2-3 hrs to fullt explore it. The Malsi Deer Park is the place to break your monotony of being in Dehradun. Just a walk/stroll and one feel rejuvenated enough to proceed further. One area of improvement is the Cafeteria there which lacks quality & quantity in terms of food/snacks offering. I ordered a plate of Maggie for ₹60 which was not cooked properly and the quantity was half of what the ₹12 packet has. Rest washroom and signages are well marked & clean.

I visited Malsi deer park last year and was thoroughly impressed by the variety of animals and the overall cleanliness of the facility. One of the highlights of my visit was the Leopard, which allowed for an up-close and personal viewing experience. I also appreciated the various educational exhibits throughout the zoo, which provided interesting information about the animals and their natural habitats. Parking was easily available, washroom was hygienic. Overall, I highly recommend a visit this zoo. Zoo on hill stations are amazing but this zoo lacks animals. They have birds and snakes segment. Fish segment is also amazing. One leopard, some deers are there in name of animals. Basically this zoo is small and one can spend 2-3 hrs on this. *Good cafeteria in premises is not available. *Seperate paid ticket for plants segment is not good. *Kids play park is also there with basic slides and monkey bars. Over all good for one time visit.

It is a Nice and compact zoo. It has 'Aviary' with a good amount of different and interesting birds, A pretty good 'Aquarium world' in which many kinds of beautiful fishes are kept in different sized aquarium tanks and this is one of the important things to see here. A small cactus garden is also a thing here it's just a decent zone to visit, it depends on you whether you want to visit it or not. Terrestrial Animals are limited here, only Deer and Leopard. There is also a Funpark for kids, where some rides and swings are there. A canteen is also present outside of the zoo.
