A very homely place, this is nothing fancy but perfect for when your budget is tight. The quantity is fair and it's overall good value for money. The ambience is what you'd expect but it all works out. There isn't much wait time as well. The constant crowd of people eating here testifies for the establishment. It's a fairly good place.

I didn't shop anything from here, I just took a shelter here while raining outside. Thanks to the owner and all staff for letting me stay there until rain is stopped. Thanks a lot again.

Kumar sweets have eventually degraded their quality and services. Asking customers to wait for orders and then say that order cannot be prepared. Hygiene is also missing badly. They are not even washing the dishes on daily basis. Same oil used over and over again without filyerrimg/cleaning the vessels. Please wash the dishes at least!! The pic I am adding is for the first order of jalebi for the day. Just watch how clean their vessel is! Btw I asked the store manager he said that these will be clean after my order will be placed!! LOL

As far as you are ordering the chat and eating at their place, it is good. But we have seen this multiple times, whenever we order them to pack the chat they always give less quantity of everything and even don't give required spices or any other toppings. Today we only got papdi and bhulle. No allo, no toppings. And this has happened a lot of times. We have complained once but still no action taken. Highly recommend to not order take outs from here.

This is cool shop for snacks and sweets. We had golgappe from the shop. They had a very nice way of service, they provided us two glasses of Pani puri water, one glass of spicy water and another one little bit sweet, along with that they also provided aloo salad for each plate and a pack of six golgappas. All of us enjoyed golgappas

Sahastradhara Road outlet has very nice staff, everyone is very cooperative. The sweets and food are always very fresh and snacks are generally made in front of us.

Staff is rude, owner need to teach there staff how to address their customers. Sweets are average in taste ,

They serve only those customer first who buys in bulk if you are their for 250gm or less then you have to wait ,no matter you came earlier then those customer who purchase in bulk

Good food and totally pure vegetarian. Best for small family occasions like birthday or dinner.

Kumar sweet shop used to be Dehradun's most famous shop among tourists and locals for it's tasty sweets. This shop doesn't justify Kumar's glorious history. They only serve vegetarian food. Though the food was tasty, the place was not that clean. If your focus is only good food, then this is definitely a place to have tasty food at an affordable price.

Ordered chinese except spring rolls pretty much hated everything

We bought 2kg of peda from the shop and had it in the same evening, they were stinking and were very stale. Not expected from well known brand.

Quality of food especially sweets and freshly prepared South Indian snacks is very good. The best part is the kitchen is visible to the customers who enter the premises and can see the snacks being prepared, however for sweets and meals they have a separate kitchen which is not visible. Kumar Sweets at Sahastradhara Road looks to be a franchise of the main firm but in quality this place is much better. However seating arrangement on the 1st floor is mediocre acess through stairs is dificult for those with locomotory infirmities, an elevator would have been a welcome releif.

Worst chaat i have ever tasted in dehradun.. Worst emarti... I just hate this restaurant now... Will never recommend anything from here.. The prices are very high and food quality is less than zeroo... Never visit this place.. Food quality is really very poor...

I had thali here which was delicious 2 person can finish that thali ay the price of one. Staff were friendly and on service on time. I also bought kaju katli which was delicious and methi matthi which was freshly made.

The sweets, Samosa and tiki(aalu) are overpriced. You can get better taste and quality sweets, Samosa and aalu tiki in other restaurants and sweet shops. . So, just don't go there just by seeing their name "the Kumar". You will regret it after spending 600 to 1000 rupees on sweets. . They also have a restaurant but I never tried anything there. So this comment does not consist of the review of their restaurant. . In short, their sweets are overpriced against the quality and taste they provide.

kumar is famous brand in dehradun for sweets and restaurants chain. all shops are having very cleaness in shop and well disciplined staff. all time i visit there my experience is amazing. i want to say something also this time kadai paneer was not much more then my expectations. but hoping for i will get best next time. and please water ke liye disposal glass na diya kijiye..

If you are looking for a cosy and relatively quiet place around sahastradhara road this is your deal. Quality of the food though is not up to the brand's name, aaloo tikki being the saving grace. Service is also late.

Food is quite good here. Like a normal family dining place. We had chole bature which was extremely tasty. Momos were pathetic. But yeah rest of the things were good. Like dosa and sambhar, noodles was also quite good. Service also was good. Overall a decent restaurant. We got a bill of 688 for four people. So it was not very pricey.

Rasmalai is good ..Had Rajbhog also it was ok ..not great

Service is worst , if it was not for cozy environment i would have given zero star . Service is most important thing for any restaurant , there waiter seems to be doing a favour for giving service to customers . Kumar sweet shop kindly review the staff and stop ruining our experience .

Good Food, have taken many times. Satisfactory from my side.

Food is good. We enjoyed the place since it was empty and we were a group of 11 people. Coconut uttpam was very different than what I had at any other place. Would also recommend Samosa, it was very less spicy thus good for us.
