I
used
to
visit
this
place
regularly
before
the
pandemic.
I
visited
the
place
last
evening,
after
a
gap
of
more
than
two
years.
After
loading
the
items
in
my
cart,
I
was
trying
to
find
out
the
billing
counter
that
was
relatively
light
-
at
that
time
the
official
at
one
of
the
counters
gestured
to
me
to
come
to
his
counter,
as
it
was
likely
to
be
free
soon.
Of
course
I
recognised
the
official
at
the
billing
counter,
but
did
not
know
his
name.
Believe
me,
before
I
could
utter
anything,
he
recognised
me
and
enquired
about
the
reason
for
the
long
gap
in
my
visit
-
not
only
that
-
he
enquired
about
my
wife's
and
family's
wellbeing.
I
was
amazed
and
full
of
admiration
at
the
same
time.
I
was
deeply
moved
and
touched
by
his
enquiries
and
concern
about
our
welfare.
His
facial
expression
oozed
both
relief
and
joy
on
seeing
us.
He
informed,
in
his
own,
that
all
his
fellow
Gokul-mates
stayed
put
in
the
shop
during
the
difficult
days
and
added
happily
that
none
of
them
was
infected.
He
was
geuinely
sad
that
some
of
the
regular
customers
succumbed
to
the
infection.
During
my
earlier
visits,
I
had
found
him
to
be
efficient
and
a
man
of
few
words,
but
never
could
imagine
he
was
harboring
such
deep
concern
and
interest
for
customers
-
sort
of
validating
the
saying
that
appearances
are
deceptive.
I
felt
bad
in
not
knowing
the
name
of
such
a
wonderful
person
-
his
name
is
Mr.Asish
Tiwari.
People
like
him
are
assets
to
the
organisation
and
footfalls
will
increase
because
of
excellent
service
rendered
-
particularly
at
the
billing
counter
which
is
the
last
touchpoint
of
purchase
action
and
satisfactory
billing
experience
will
not
only
linger
but
also
will
largely
determine
repeat
visits
of
the
customer.
Kudos
also
to
the
management/owner
for
having
taken
care
of
the
employees
during
the
tough
days
of
the
pandemic
and
by
extension,
that
of
the
customers.
We
generally
take
such
goodness
on
the
part
of
employees/employers,
for
granted.
But
I
felt
we
should
acknowledge
and
recognise
such
good
deeds.
It
shows
that
the
urge
to
go
beyond
the
call
of
duty
is
inherent
and
probably
right
factors
like
environment,
concerned
management,
etc
will
facilitate
their
manifestation,
especially
in
a
service
industry
like
retail.
As
usual
the
upkeep
of
the
store
is
very
good
and
visually
pleasing
and
all
the
staff
are
courtrous
and
well
behaved.
All
in
all
a
very
satisfying
experience.
