This
cafe
has
a
cute,
historical
theme
that
matches
the
yummy
foods
they
offer.
The
staff
wear
old
time
clothes
to
match
as
well.
I
came
here
twice,
and
will
probably
visit
a
few
more
times
before
I
leave
Turku.
The
key
to
enjoying
Cafe
Qwensel
is
to
go
early;
the
earlier
you
go,
the
more
that
is
made
available
to
you.
Whatever
they
make
in
the
morning
is
all
they
will
serve
that
day.
First
time
I
went
right
before
closing;
32
minutes
to
be
exact.
There
were
a
few
slices
of
pie,
and
I
just
missed
the
last
donut.
Everything
left
didn’t
really
look
the
most
appetizing,
so
I
just
got
a
cup
of
coffee.
They
bring
your
order
to
you,
so
you
just
pick
a
spot
and
wait
as
they
serve
you’re
order
on
a
unique
tray.
In
fact,
all
of
the
dish
ware
were
unique.
Varying
teapot
styles,
different
teacup
patterns,
varying
tray
styles
and
types;
I
liked
how
each
piece
was
very
different
and
told
a
different
story.
My
coffee
came
out
on
a
little
green
tray
in
a
brown
pot,
with
a
little
milk
saucer
and
cup
of
sugar
cubes.
The
second
time
I
went
was
well
planned;
it
opens
at
10am,
so
we
arrived
at
10:40am.
At
this
point
they
were
still
baking
a
few
things,
but
had
out
some
fresh
pies,
donuts,
and
juice.
I
got
the
cherry
juice,
cheesecake,
and
donut
while
my
friend
got
black
tea
and
the
walnut
cake.
THAT
WALNUT
CAKE
WAS
GOOD!
I
highly
recommend
it
if
you
don’t
have
any
nut
allergies.
They
also
offer
cream
on
the
side,
which
I
also
highly
recommend!
Overall,
the
prices
were
not
bad,
the
staff
was
respectful,
and
the
food
is
pretty
good
(if
you
go
early).
It’s
also
a
great
picture
spot
if
you’ve
ever
wanted
that
perfect
teatime
photo
;)
Note
that
the
entrance
is
in
the
courtyard,
so
if
you
went
to
the
front
door
by
the
river
Aura,
you
actually
need
to
go
around
the
building
to
the
back
where
the
cafe
sign
hangs
above
the
doorway.
