I’m from Saigon and for me, this is the best Saigonese bánh mì in Finland! All ingredients are handmade, specially the bread, to keep everything authentic and tasty (normally almost the Vietnamese restaurants just use the bread from the market to save cost and time). I’ve tried this bánh mì 4 times since 2020 (the restaurant used to be in kauppahalli before covid), and I’m always satisfied with the food and service!

So me and my friend were in the mood for something a bit different to eat and decided to try this place out. On the outside it looks quite humble with just one sign around the corner. The story building surrounding it is currently undergoing renovations so it's quite easy to miss at the moment. On the inside it's also not the flashiest of places, something i quite like. Feels way homier that way, like an oldschool neighbourhood diner for the locals. So what's on the menu? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside bread stuffed with delicious meat and veggies, and of course there's vegetarian options as well. And that's it! Love the simplicity, fast and friendly service, the exotic taste (i tried a bbq Banh Mi) and of course the excellent money to value ratio. Will most certainly give this place another go.

Bongasin paikan sattumalta ajaessani siitä ohi. Pakko oli palata takaisin koska olen aikaisemmin maistanut näitä leipiä Vietnamissa. Sämpylä oli hyvää ja annos edullinen. Kahvi olisi saanut olla vähän vahvempaa, mutta nämä on toki makuasioita koska itse juon vähän vahvempaa kahvia. Tulen mielelläni toistekkin tänne syömään ja nauttimaan jääkahvista.

Erittäin hyvä ruoka edulliseen hintaan. Leivät ovat maukkaita sekä rapeita ja asiakkaan mielipidettä kysytään tulisuuden suhteen. Paikka on pieni ja sisällä on vain 6 asiakaspaikkaa, joten take away on järkevä vaihtoehto. Lämmin suositus!

A bit small place(6 seats) but food and service is excellent

Busted into this joint with my cousin, and we’re two hungry guys so of course we get two kasvispatonki. We were both very happy with the sandwiches; the bread, the greens, the pickles, and seitan were all perfect. Just as an aside I noticed the pickle didn’t have radish and they didn’t put jalapeño in the sandwich. But at like ~€5 whew buddy thats a steal. Can’t comment on English skill but Finnish was good. This is some quality bahn mi.

Parhaat leivät mitä eläessäni olen syönyt. Vastapaistetut leivät, rapea kuori ja pehmeä sisältä. Täytteitä myös sopivassa suhteessa joissa autenttiset maut. Olen malttanut käydä kuitenkin vain kerran viikossa. Sääli kun ei ole Woltissa.

Oikein makoisaa ruokaa, ja erilaista kuin mitä muualla on tullut vastaan, kiva kokemus. Liiketila aika tiivis ja tylsä, mutta eipä näitä leipiä ole ajatuskaan syödä paikanpäällä.

Voin helposti todeta, että Banh Mi:t ovat Suomen parhaimmat! Näiden eteen tulee ajettua itsekin Turkuun, vaikka ei aina sinne mitään muuta asiaa olisikaan. Aukioloajat saisivat olla hieman paremmat ja tilaa syödä paikan päällä on kovin vähän. Ruoka on kuitenkin pääasia ja se on täyden viiden tähden arvoista!

I think it's the best banh mi place in Turku! The prices have unfortunately went up a bit, but it's still cheap and delicious.

Delicious sandwiches. Friendly staff. Good prices. A great option when you want healthy-ish, flavorful fast food.

Amazingly satisfying sandwiches. Beef Satay or BBQ Beef are my favourites. Location is a little.out if the way, but worth making the trip.

Tried 2 sandwiches - the original and chicken grilled - got beef? grilled instead of chicken by an accident? It clearly was not chicken. Original was better then the beef. The lady behind the counter understood when I asked to make it spicy. That was actually pleasantly spicy, fresh chillies instead of chilli powder. The house sauce I didnt understand or find in the bun, it had sriracha, which is a questionable choice. The pickled vegetables could be more intense to counter the meats or just more of them? Solid 8.3 out of 10. Not as good as the one in Helsinki, Kamppi, but not far off. Looking very much forward to trying their Pho Bo.

Have been almost every days since discovering, if you want authentic Vietnamese food, get down there. Loving the Bánh mì and freshly baked bread. (Currently Walking there right now to get a feed)
