The dreams come true. Must be as a fan of Moomins. Lovely island with a cute little shops and all the Moomins characters. Lovely beach but just visit in the perfect weather. A little expensive but it’s worth is. Plenty of kids so hard to take a photos of everything. Few walking paths so it’s nice option. Want to be back :).

Nice experience for kids but the prices are pretty bad, the charge for adults and children is the same at 30euros and no discounts for families etc. This also doesn't include parking which is extra and finally the prices for all food and drinks inside is very high. The park itself is very clean and areas easily accessible with languages in Finnish, Swedish and English. With everything obviously catered towards children there is not a lot for parents and adults to do unless you're a big Moomin fan, this is why I feel the flat rate entry price for kids and adults alike is a bit unreasonable.

Muumimaailma on hieno matkakohde lapsiperheelle.

First of all, this place is irrationally overpriced. Price for kids and adults are same whether you spend whole day or just 2 hours. This is a fun place for kids and families who are moomin fans. Otherwise there is nothing much to do here. It is like taking a walk in well maintained forest. You can basically cover the whole moomin island in 2-3 hours. There are moomin characters who are very kind and sweet with everyone. Very few activities to actually do here. There are lots of food options inside but again the prices are high. Whole place is accessible on wheelchair and with strollers. There is also a small beach and a resting place amidst the forest which I really liked. There are no rides or swings, so overall the place doesn’t offer much.

Enjoyed the live performances and meeting the characters! The park is nice to walk around, too. Wish more of the food places had been open though. Was able to try the doughnuts - yummy!!

First of all, it's overpriced. Moomin world is located on a beautiful island. The location is really good. The appearance of the moomin characters are really good. Very friendly also. The story time and theatre performances are all good. The trails and the maze are amazing. But there should be more rides and activities included. There are many food options and but all are overpriced.

We had a fantastic time at Moomin World! It was a delightful experience, and the characters who spoke English made it truly memorable for both me and my kids. Highly recommended for families.

He erityisesti tuntuivat uppoutuvat rooleihinsa. Myös Tiuhti ja Viuhti tuntuivat olevan juuri kuin tehtyjä roolejansa varten. Matkamuistomyymälästä löysi kaiken mahdollisen mitä muumeihin liittyvää saattoi kaivata.

Really enjoyed the visit in 2023 with my 2,5 year old son! The experience was even better than expected. All the buildings and paths were in top notch shape and everything was open and functional. My son enjoyed many of the attractions, even when he isn’t a big Moomin fan. Highly recommended!

This park was absolutely amazing! It was like stepping into a piece of my partner and I's childhood It took us around 4 hours to walk the whole park and see all the exhibits and shops. Food was high-quality and not too expensive either. Be aware that this park really only has activities for kids, and it's a kid focused park, but even as young adults my partner and I had a blast.

The price vs experience is terrible. We paid 130+ euro for four (two adults and two children of 6 and 7 and parking). Compared to the Efteling in the Netherlands (look it up, same price but HUGE park and REAL rollercoaster rides and fairy tale woods etc) Moomin world is really really nothing. There are no attractions / rides and not even a proper playground. All is fine because it is a pretty fine park to stroll through but then you don’t price it like a proper theme park. This should be more in the range of 5-10 euro. During the visit we felt increasingly screwed because of this. The start is bad, where the first 5 minute walk is only stores and stalls that want you to spend even more money. The kids liked it, but said they loved other theme parks a lot more. Fortunately they didn’t have to pay to add to the depreciative experience. We will actively advise against visiting Moomin world to any friends or acquaintances asked or unasked. If we’d have any expectation someone will even read this review, we’d ask our money back and pay what we’d value this (which is 10 euro per person plus parking).

The whole family comprising two grandfathers, a grandmother, two parents including the four year old girl herself and her younger one month old sister visited this amazing wonderland cum park. We all had a lot of fun. It is spread over a very large area, ingeniously and very thoughtfully designed to engross not just the children but even grown ups. Visiting the Moomen house, playing the rolling balls, watering the flower pots, interacting with the all the Moomin characters, getting the tattoo, catching and identifying the fish, visiting the port, the beach, walking barefoot, getting our fortune told, all the delightful eats, and so much more. Each activity was great fun. Loved it, and will love to visit again.

Public transport from Helsinki takes a few hours. It is beautiful but not many places for kids to play, good for photography and enjoy the natural environment.

Everything worked perfectly and everything seemed to have been thought of. The actors were really good, and worked well with children. Even during rain everything was perfect, never had such a good experience with children at an amusement park.

It is like an outdoor museum. Mainly expositions, shops, restaurants, plus dressed up people. The main highlight are the shows. Our 2 year old was scared of the characters but liked the show. There should be more activities. For instance there should be a witch in the withhouse or moominmama serving pancakes in the house, etc. The price is just too high for what is there, and taking a full adult price for a 2 year old is a rip off. Edit response: we didnt meet the witch or see her anywhere.

Delightful place for moomin fans of all ages! Particularly great for the smaller ones to meet and hug their favourite characters in person. Great selection of affordable themed food places in the area. Rather weather dependent though, so not recommended to visit during heavy rain.

'Ecstatic' is the best word to describe our kids' experience of the place. Unfortunately, you won't get the full experience if you don't speak Finnish, but for us it was like 6 hours of interactive theatre. The characters were very very good (a special shout out to the witch, who was not a toned-down version as I expected). The main stage performances have subtitles in English and Swedish, but they don't cover the entire dialogue. Maybe it's to make it easier for the parents to interpret for their kids, as I saw one German-speaking father doing. I see a lot of people complaining about the prices in the gift shops and restaurants, but to me they seemed quite normal for a theme park. The buffet lunch was also good quality and the staff extremely nice. As for the sufficiency of things to do, that would depend on your child. I'm sure many kids race through the activities that they do have and get bored. For us, however, one day was not enough, and we entirely missed a couple of performances and the Nature Trail.

This was my 2nd visit but first with my now-teenage daughters! We arrived by train to Turku and took a taxi to the park (37,80e) - you can also take the bus 6 or 7 from the bus station nearby (1km),which takes 30mins + a 10min walk the other end. We bought our tickets online and saved some money, plus there was no queuing at the park. We had a very slow day in the park and we did it all in 4,5hrs. The characters are located around the Moomin House with no control, but there was no problem getting a photo with your favourites. The house was quite stuffy and loads of stairs, so watch out if you're not mobile. As for the food and snacks, watch out for the crazy portions! The prices might be high, but so is the food waste. Seriously, share meals and snacks because they outfaced everyone! Overall, it was a great day out, made even better by the great weather.

Great place to visit with under school age kids. Plenty of effort and thought has gone into this place. For adults bad coffee is everywhere, which is appropriate. Good coffee can also be found, ask to taste first.

Didn't have expectations too high since I'm not really a Moomin fan. My kids love them and I have watched the series occasionally. Scepticism was proven wrong. I really liked the place and characters too. Well thought areas for eating, resting etc. Highly recommended if you (or your kids) like Moomins or maybe even to get your first encounter with these chubby creatures.

We've been waiting for this for years. Now we were finally able to visit with our junior. We are excited. We visited the last day of the season. All the characters enjoyed it, a nice show, a wonderful walk around the island. Lots of things to see and to do. See you again! Kiitos paljon

It’s for kids. Really. Got a few pictures, ate a bunch of donuts, and went back to Turku. If you are not a big fun and didn’t see them when you were a kid, there’s high chance it’s not for you. For me it was fun, but I don’t think I will come back.

Fun for all the family! In Moomin World, time passes quickly. It's full of cute characters, small cafes, shops and restaurants and there are various things to do. This place is a very good one for children. The theatre that's next to the entrance offers free, short shows with the Moomin characters. Some cons about Moomin World are that during the summer, it's crowded. VERY crowded. But you shouldn't let that bother. If you hate getting sweaty, maybe don't go on the hottest days of the month. Otherwise, kids will love this place. Definitely recommend! ♥

Really nice place. And nice simple activities for young kids. You don't really need two days there are there is not to much to do. There was a little rubbish in various places that could have easily been cleaned up before they let people in. Also there were a few things that didn't work properly, but nothing major.

The characters were available for the photoshoot, all except Haisuli.. and my 4y son missed him. Haisuli was in a theater performance though, but why was it in Swedish. It is Finland. Swedes make only 5 percent of the population. As the ticket costs 28 eur, you expect it includes something general _but face painting 6 eur, parking 8 eur, toilet without paper, other toilet without towels, Muumi toys and candies too expensive. My 4y was just the right age for the event. The 1.5y was afraid, just like my boy at this age. We go to Muumimaailm every year. Its a place to get great pictures.

Moomins are the love of my life so I loved the park, however, there are some things that could be changed there. I absolutely loved the Moomin house and the Hemulen cottage. The trails were very nice, as well as the Bath house with Edward. There were a lot of people but since the park covers almost a whole islet, it didn't feel crowded. The actors were constantly in their roles, entertaining also the adults. What would be nice to see is more interactive places both for children and adults, more free games and places to relax. I also didn't like paid photos with Moomin, although there are some moments when you can catch him outside of the paid photo booth. At least one performance a day in English would also be a good addition.

Perfect place for little kids but I think that it is almost only for them. Because I am 14 years old and it was boring for me. After all it's nice and beautiful place to visit.

I was there in the early November about 6PM and there was... no one there. So I can't say how is the commercial experience of this place, but definitely I can say that this place is magic. It's an island with recreated Moomins world 1:1 and it looks like there is some quite entertaining activities in the season. Definitely must go for all Moomins fans, not only for children. And the whole town with island is pretty charming.

No rides but that was refreshing as it gave it a nice relaxed atmosphere, which I wanted. Some of the structures could use a bit more maintenance — seems to be neglected somewhat.

It's a great place to spend a day with family. It's for smaller children. There is not so much new every year that you would visit multiple times.

A beautiful park, beautifully decorated, nice little « trekking » tracks around the island, the whole thing engulfed in nature. Highly recommended
