Had the best vegetarian dishes I’ve ever tried! Vegetarian duck is like no other! Atmosphere is great and staff are super friendly and attentive. Had the fried rice with duck and plum wine which paired very well with the rest of our food. Also had taro shake with coconut milk which wrapped up an overall amazing experience

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I tried several raw vegan restaurants in several states and I'm so happy that this one is only half an hour drive from my house. Me and my husband ordered a personal pizza to try and we liked it so much that then we ordered the burgers that you can see in the photo I'm posting. The food there is delicious, it's really really good. At the same time it's healthy, you can get all the information about ingredients that you need and when the door to the kitchen opens you actually see fresh produce which I've never seen in any "normal" restaurants before. On top of that, a woman who we talked to was very friendly and positive. I highly recommend this place! For those who say that wait time is ridiculous.. well, food there is made from scratch, they don't use canned, prepackaged food to make your stuff. If there's a raw vegan cheese on your meal they make it right there, they don't use the store bought brand. So yes, it sometimes does take a little longer. If you want to make sure you won't have to wait too long just place your order on the phone before you go and you'll be set :)

Plumeria is one of the best vegan/vegetarian restaurants in San Diego. I love the University Heights location. The staff and the environment is super chill and laid back, and it’s literally next door to some cool bars like Lancers, Park & Rec, and Madison. I really love the spicy basil and the cashew nut here. Both dishes are exceptional. Another notable dish is the pumpkin curry. Sounds a bit odd but it’s great. Their crispy rolls are really good as well. I love how they serve their rice in a heart shape. It’s priced right as well! Can’t really go wrong with Plumeria, no matter your food preferences. Definitely a necessary San Diego eatery to try.

The portions were plentiful and the plating of the food was enticing. Servers were responsive and offered good suggestions. If you are a vegan or vegetarian the lack of flavoring is evident underneath all of the sauce. I get the hype of this eatery and they have a good, trending thing going. And if you are brave there's outside dining and no heaters. I only tried three dishes. Ratings out of 5. Rama w/fried tofu rate 2.5 Tangerine with chicken 2.5 Fried rice with beef 2.75 Flower cups 4 To be honest, I'll return because there are a few dishes I would like to try before deciding if this is an overall 3.0 restaurant. It's tight spaces for dining. I'm sure no wheelchair or a scooter can fit in this restaurant you will likely be eating outside and if it's during the cold months shiver me timbers. The spacing is so tight you will hear others conversations and you cannot do peripheral eye gazes without getting caught. High fives Every dish is $13.95 Starters are $7.95 or less Service Prickly Pear Martini Meh Food Thumbs Down Parking Table space between diners

Good raw vegan food. It feels good to eat good food that's good for you. One of the items I didn't enjoy like the chocolate moss drink. Overall, it seems expensive to me as do other raw vegan places in Atlanta...maybe because of the lack of competition. And I knocked off a star because the server was so darned unfriendly. She wasn't blatantly rude, just super unfriendly.

Service was on but the waitress did seem to have a slight attitude. Gave 2 stars only because to food was filling and tasted ok. My major complaint is that they put way too much BIRCH XYLITOL in our lemonade. My husband and i both had the runs only a few hours later. Poor husband even threw up twice....it ruined our Easter holiday and we couldn't spend time with our family. Still have the runs while writing this. .... Not going back. PLEASE DO NOT DRINK THE LEMONADE, or anything that says birch xylitol!!!

Y’all Plumeria really has the best fried tofu I’ve ever had. No joke. We came for lunch and split this fried tofu and pad Thai dish. (Ok we also split the chicken satay and spring rolls, we were hungry.) It was SO MUCH food, we took home a ton and heated it up the next day for lunch (it was still delicious then too.) I loved that the entire restaurant is either vegan or vegetarian. It made ordering a breeze! We’ll definitely be back for more.

Man this place is great! The atmosphere and vibe here is awesome. There’s always smooth music playing and the employees here are ALWAYS nice/professional. The food is AMAZING! I never thought going vegan would be fulfilling and satisfying until I came here. There is a variety of options on the menu to choose from and that was a major plus for me. Been coming here for months now and I’m just really happy I found this spot. I hope anyone who reads this will come and check this place out. You WILL NOT be disappointed at all!!!

This food as AMAZING. Who knew raw food could have do much flavor?? The manager is nice and very knowledgeable about the great things each food can do for you. The atmosphere is family like, music selection is perfect for the environment. I go at least 3 times a week and have yet to be disappointed. Please try the spaghetti and the pizza. AWESOME

The food is absolutely delicious! This is my first time in San Diego and a friend suggested that I go to Plumeria. I had the broccoli with vegetables in garlic and mushroom sauce. It was delicious. I highly recommend it.

I've been to Plumeria  many times, love the food, and even more that it's vegetarian. My spouse and I were eating red curry, when halfway through she alerted me to a bug in her bowl. At first I thought it's a piece of eggplant but looking closer and flipping it I saw that it's a cockroach. That was unsettling since it was simmered in the food we already ate. The poor waitress was apologetic and said she talked with the owner and I won't be charged. I had emailed the owner privately which got no response, and checking other reviews, it looks they never bother to respond. Accidents happen but I'm not sure the owners will do what's necessary to improve the hygiene. If you decide to eat there, just watch out for any free, non vegan, protein in your dish

This place is amazing...great food, great people, great energy!! I have travelled all over the country and stopping at raw food restaurants in each city. This one is my favorite!! Good quality ingredients and food prepared with care. And the pie is the best I've had in my life! Thank you for making all this available to us 🙂🙏🏼❤

Well I went with my sister who was dying to try this place. Unfortunately, neither 1 of us liked it enough to go back. Sis ordered nachos but it appeared to be a guacamole spinach and dandelion salad with a few flax (could be something else) chips and a few sprinkles of crumbles. This wasn't hitting on anything My lentil burgers were dry as hell which was puzzling because the menu said everything was made to order. I have made plenty of lentil and/or bean burgers at home and they aren't ever dry even when I put them in the freezer for later. Anyway, the water was served warm which is fine but I would have liked the option of cool water (maybe a few ice cubes). The host and waitress were pleasant, the ambiance is cozy. Again, the dry sandwiches were a big no, it's ashame too especially since we have access so many seasonings, and plant based fats to enhance flavor of foods. This left alot to be desired.

Good menu. Good atmosphere. Good personable service. I think it’s black owned which is a super plus. Old looking restaurant but clean Avocado appetizer was very good Cons: Mushroom steak was too salty to enjoy Mixed veggies were seasoned kind of boring In conclusion, I’d try it Again!

The phone service is awfully bad. It was as if I was standing outside an opera house talking to Jumia in small room the opera building during a performance. Bad voice setup from the call center. I struggled to hear the attendant and in the end, she said they don’t deliver to Valley Oyibi. Huge disappointment.

A FOODIE’S VEGETARIAN DELIGHT🤩🙃😎.It’s authentic Thai flavors with vegetarian/vegan take, although the menu has certain options for chicken or duck, both of which are Thai staples. The restaurant itself is very pleasant. The service is excellent.👍👍 Feast with your eyes for a minute, the with your palate. A discovery is the Flower Cups 🤩, lovely presentation and very delicious, complex textured savory bites. 👏👏. Then the Spicy Basil with Tempura Vegan Duck: absolutely heavenly at heat level 5🙃🙃🙃 Of course there’s the usual Fresh Spring Rolls starter that comes with 2 dipping sauces: the peanut sauce a delicateness to it and the pineapple sauce has a gentle tang. The menu is short, a very sign of mastery by the chef. And I was not disappointed.

This cute street in University heights has an interesting mix of Asian-leaning foods. We chose this place to eat more plant-based for lunch. The decor and layout give a shady cool jungle-y feel and the many open windows make the indoor seating breezy. The spicy 🌶️ profiles are true (medium is medium and not mild). We enjoyed the eggplant spicy Thai basil dish the most.

Hands down, the best Thai restaurant in San Diego! Must visit! Plumeria is my most favorite restaurant in San Diego! I have been here more than 5 times already and the taste in the food and quality has always been great! You can never be disappointed here as they always get your order right and on time. To find parking around the restaurant may be a little tough, as we need to find street parking.

I am not Vegan but the dishes here are so delicious I am ready to convert! I love the pad Thai, the flat noodles and the chicken with peanut sauce platter. I am addicted to your love, Plumeria and will be back for more. I have yet to try the eggplant dish because that’s one of my favorite all time veggies. Love the service here and I enjoy the atmosphere but most especially the food! If I didn’t live so faraway I’d eat here every week if not everyday of the week!

This place makes you feel amazing and inferior at the same time. Definitely the best vegan sushi in the bay and makes sense there is a long line. It's practically a sport to get a table. This is one of those places where the privilege is yours to eat there..and they make sure you know it.

This is a hidden gem, located in East Point. The atmosphere was soothing and relaxing with great musical selections and the food was absolutely wonderful. I had the Kale Salad, the Vitality Soup and the Lemon/Limeaid drink. It was refreshing, healthy and delicious. If you are looking for a healthy lunch or dinner, you must check out Lov'n It Live. The Nubian salad was really good. I'm sure it would have been even better with the missing dressing. Also I think it should either have more greens or it could have come with wheat crackers. For the price, $18, I think I should have gotten a complete meal.

Absolutely love their food. Highly recommend. 4 stars instead of 5 because food is twice the price as it should be. Stuff avocado should be $7.99 max instead of $12.50. Funny thing is they would sell twice as much that way. I would buy two order each time and come more often. Something for this restaurant to seriously consider

I LOVE LOVE this place! It has been my go to for delicious raw food since I discovered it in 2005. The food is amazing! Even my friends who were previously like “raw? Uh, no thanks” couldn’t deny the taste after trying the stuffed avocado and pizza. Since moving from Atlanta, this is one of the places I miss the most. Whenever I go back I order about 6 or 7 things to go. Try it. It won’t dissapoint.

Oh my gosh, this was actually really good! Read the reviews and was skeptical, but this was delicious! Had the noori roles, nachos, and brownies. Loved every bit of it! All the food is comes fresh so they have a disclaimer posted that you may have to wait around 25 minutes for your order. Luckily, we did not wait that long on our food. This place is definitely worth a try if you want vegan, organic food!

Amazing food, and incredibly innovative. The vegan shrimp are to die for, and as a pescatarian I was amazed at how 'really the texture was. The jackfruit nuggets were also great, and the texture again was great. I would definitely recommend the aubergine small plate and the shwarma for a main meal was magnificent. I wish we had the room to order dessert! The only thing I would change is the way you order- because of COVID19 you have to order via your phone but signal was really bad so wouldn't load on my phone. It would be great if there was an alternative way to order.

Food tastes delicious, completely different from the others vegetarian restaurants I have been to. The place is not so big but it is cosy and the service was pretty good. It was not necessary to make a reservation. I had a portion of Jackfruit nuggets, a portion of dynamite shrimp, a 'it's no jerk' burger and some Moroccan pancakes. I highly recommend it.

Pictures don’t reflect reality! We had high hopes for Persian food. Disappointment. Many dishes were not available. Soup was thick as stew, mushy, unsalted and microwaved. Main course sandwich tasteless and dry, main dish microwaved too. Unfortunately the worst experience in a vegan place for a very long time.

(Translated by Google) I had a cozy spot on the terrace. Waited a long time, although there were almost no people (1 table), Thursday evening. The waitress is kind, she is learning Russian) The playlist is excellent, in my taste. I took fried eggplants (eggplants themselves are hot, on top raw cold finely chopped tomatoes and onions) - I really liked it. + mini salad (for my taste it’s too much salt, I wouldn’t take it a second time) additionally they give bread, such as bruschetta, heated in a dry frying pan. The portion is big. For all 52 shekels (~ 950rub) (Original) Serene & beautiful environment. Very polite & helpful staff. I’ve always wanted to try Thai & since I’ve heard good reviews about them, I decided to try & boy! Was I impressed. The meal was mouthwatering. The environment is perfect for pictures & serene for meetings, dates and all. The DJ was on fire; playing cool music that almost lulled me to sleep. Thankfully he didn’t succeed. Their meals are on the high side and they charge double VAT, unlike restaurants in V.I. I heard the latter is the norm in Apapa restaurants. Regardless, I’ll visits again & again.

What you see is what you get. Great customer service too!! UPDATE Im very glad i tried it before reading reviews 😂 Not saying i didnt have issues with them The first time was smooth heck i was the one who caused the rider inconvenience when he had to wait more than 10mins for my mobile money to go through he ended up Leaving without a notification 😳 Second time was a mess lol i ordered and jumia customer service calls me an hour later to ask me to order again due to some network problems... Turned out i had another hour to spare. Third time extremely smooth. Ok so my point is NB ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE THE TIME THEY SAY YOUR FOOD WILL BE DELIVERED.. POLITELY ASK THE RIDER TO BRING CHANGE IF ITS SO IMPORTANT TO YOU. im not sure about this but i think jumia asks you to make sure your money doesn't need change. This prompted me to ask the rider and he didn't have a problem with that. I always order from same restaurant though 🤔

Terrible customer service. A restruant can mess up an order or meal and Jumia will only have the resturaunt make the order without discount or anything else to make it right with customer. This seems to be the treatment with all businesses in Ghana, or Accra anyways. Do you not care about your customers? This is pathetic.

I was in San Diego for work and was brought to Plumeria by a friend who is vegan. I was really surprised by how fresh and tasty all the dishes were. The staff quickly seated us and or so diligent in checking at just the right amount of time with us on what we wanted next and got us the check as soon as possible. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was extremely fresh and the portions were much bigger than I expected. We had to take several containers home.

The tuna flower cups were the most insane thing I’ve eaten in a long time. I haven’t had fish in over a decade and so I can’t be trusted really when I say “wow that tastes just like fish!” But my fish eating partner had the same reaction as well. Do not miss that dish! The chicken satay appetizer was also amazing, haven’t had something like that before. Also got the spring rolls and the tangerine chicken dish. The waiter was attentive and really nice, helped us out with our different allergies and restrictions.

We went to The Plumeria Vegetarian Restaurant during lunch (12/2023) and the food was just authentic. We've never tasted Thai food at its best, other than in Thailand. We ordered the sampler and my gosh it was delicious. The Rama dish with Tofu was wonderful on the palate. The restaurant is quaint and small/medium sized. I didn't see any place where they can fit a group of 10 to 12 (but you might call to check). Other than that it's a nice ambiance for 2 - 4 to have a great place to eat. Recommend.

This was s decent dinner to be honest. I am not the biggest fan of vegetarian food, but that will not effect this review. We ordered the General Taos chicken, which is made with imitation chicken. The meal overall was quite good. The service was great from start to finish and the prices for everything seemed more than fair. They serve a delicious plunge wine there as well, not to be missed. The wait wasn't too long, but can be busy in this area and parking for the most part is non existent. Stop by though, maybe we will see you there!

Enjoyed dinner here with a friend upon her recommendation. It is a rather small space divided into a couple of dining areas. The menu is extensive offering an array of Thai dishes in vegetarian and vegan styles. There are starters, greens, entrees, noodles, “chef’s specials” and desserts. The food was delicious and spiced with proper “heat” to order as is typical for a Thai place. There is beer and wine, sake, and “soft drinks”, both Thai and American. My only complaint is the demeanor of the initial hostesses. I was given the evil eye when I explained I did not know if we had a reservation. I tried to offer my friend’s name and the time we were meeting but got nowhere.

Hit and missed. We wait for it because there was a lot people waiting. The sampler was excellent. The tofu soup was great, should have ordered a large. The house special spicy noodles was way too salty. Ginger tea is a must have

We are vegetarians, were visiting San Diego on vacation. We found the place by search and yelp reviews. The place is a gem! Great variety of vegetarian dishes. They have a platter of starters - must try item. We visited the same place every night (3 days) and tried most of the vegetarian items on menu - everything was fantastic. The dessert was great too. We have a 5 year old, she enjoyed the food too. Only downside is due to its popularity - it’s got long wait times. But they take reservation, so do call them an hour in advance during peak hours.

Nice atmosphere. Fun. Great menu. Top quality vegan food at a good price. Excellent service. Had the eggplant dish. Very tasty and fresh. Arrived without reservations and was told there would be a 20-30 minute wait. Decided to wait but then immediately discovered (on my own) that there was no wait for an outside sidewalk table. Just no alcohol outside. Good for us! Hope to return soon. Near the University Heights Neon sign. Parking can be a challenge. We chose not to take our car and walked six blocks for the pre- and post-meal exercise. Cars drive too fast in the area and too many A-Hole-Honkers. I vote to narrow the street and make it one way with a 5MPH speed limit and NO smoking.

The best Thai food in San Diego! I eat here/order in like once a week and wish I can live there. Staff is so friendly and the food is some of the best... and I’ve been around. If you wonder if you should go here... you need to go now!

Ordered the vegetarian spicy noodles for pickup so I didn't get a sit down experience at the restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and quick. The noodles were delicious and they gave a good portion. Would definitely come back to dine again.

This place is heaven for Vegetarian people. They serve all the Thai dishes cooked for vegetarians. All of their dishes are amazing and the quantities are generous and price is reasonable. If you are in San Diego then this place is worth visiting once. Try their salads, fried rice dishes and Thai Curries.

  • 3/5 D 3 years ago on Google
The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. Loaded with lots of sugary sauces. Lastly, as a very standard practice... when getting take out they should never never put cold food like salads and Thai wraps in the same bag as the screaming hot noodles. It causes the cold food to wilt or worse become really really sweaty and gross.

-Best Thai around (even if you're not vegetarian) -Everything I have had here has been good; not overly spiced...very nuanced. -The make one of the tastiest dishes I've ever had; LARB with mock duck. The flavor is tangy and just salty enough. The texture is perfection.

Yummy Thai vegetarian restaurant. I love their chicken satay (appetizer). We also usually go for the crispy duck as our protein choice when ordering entrees. I've come here a number of times when I lived in San Diego, and still visit when I'm in town after moving.

I was told maybe I would like spicy level 15 next time.. next time I go I just might! It was a great combination of flavors and the tofu was prepared perfectly. I used the rice to mop up the plate as best I could! Will definitely be returning here :)

ORDER THE PUMPKIN CURRY!! The entire menu is vegetarian and it's so good you won't believe that until you look at the menu description and even more unbelievable after you taste the food because it's just as good as non-vegetarian food - there was no compromise! For the meat, they use vegetarian meat and is made of soy mostly. Here's my food recommendations: *PUMPKIN CURRY obviously! *Pad Thai *Tangerine "chicken" *Mixed Bean Larb *Fresh Spring roll You can't go wrong with ordering anything on the menu. It's practically impossible. Service is friendly too! Go give their food a try if you haven't. You'll wonder why you waited so long. Bring your meat-lovin friends! GO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!!

My family and I have visited this restaurant on many occasions in the past year, recently I noticed that not only has the food declined so has the customer service. I purchased food a few weeks ago, the taste was off ,but , because I previously loved this restaurant I decided to give it another chance. Yesterday I purchased food for my family and I ,and I need to say now , I will not return and because the young lady assisting me on the phone was so rude , I will also inform my family, friends and followers to be aware , and encourage them not to spend their hard earned money here. If this was the first time the food was tasteless, poorly made and the staff exhibited an arrogant disposition, I would be happy to give them another chance , but the service has shown gradual decline. So Plumeria take note, in this day and time when people are cautious of how they spend their money, it would benefit you to do your best to keep your doors open.

We enjoyed a quiet and efficiently served vegetarian dinner at Plumeria. Tangerine Duck, Garlic Pepper Broccoli, and Cheese Wantons were all wonderful. It is a smaller, quite space that was not overly crowded early Friday evening ~5:30. We were seated immediately without a reservation. Staff were efficient and worked well as a team to serve and refill drinks, bring food, check in on us, etc. Parking (street) is a bit of a challenge but on par for the area.

I have enjoyed plumeria for many years and one of the main reasons is that they are very consistent with the quality and taste of my favorite dishes. The spicy noodle, See-ew and spicy basil are my three favorites. Unfortunately they do not have their own parking and that part of University Heights can be challenging especially during dinner hours. Once you are in the restaurant, though, the service is quite fast and the staff always makes a point to be friendly

One of my top three Vegan restaurants. The food is great no matter if it's carry out or in restaurant. Their price point is very fair, better than most comparable Vegan Thai places. I just bounce around with the Curries or Pad Thai. My wife adores their Soups and Curries.

  • 2/5 Albert B. 3 years ago on Google
Average / Over Priced. One hour wait time. I asked for 10 out of 10 spicy . I would say it was a 6 spicy. This bowl was 14$ plus a tip . For takeout. I’m still hungry. Flavor wise it was decent but not the best I’ve ever had. Same with texture. Overall it is over priced . Would be more interested if it was 9$ plus a tip. At this price point I can get two of the best burritos you have ever had , or cook Thai at home for a fraction of the price. Staff was not super helpful.

Parking is tough but once u actually get to sit and eat you have to order the flower cups!!! Lucky for me they was only like 6/7 bc I prob would have eaten a million Their samosas were good too! My spouse ordered pineapple rice which is loved. I had a salad w Thai peanut dressing. I would ask for the dressing on the side bc they put way too much for my liking but overall everything we ate was amazing. Staff was SUPER friendly!

The best new vegan restaurant in San Diego! Great drinks, tasty food, tasteful decor. It's usually packed, so be sure to make a reservation. Alternatively, you can do a walk-in and join the wait-list and grab a drink at the bar until your table is ready. Great for groups and they have some shared plates.

I was literally waiting 5 minutes on the phone to get service after someone told me to hold. And then someone hung up on me. Food good particularly for vegan food but they packaged the food for Uber poorly with rice on bottom and other dishes perched on top. By the time it got to us three of the dishes had tilted over with all the sauces leaking out making a big unappealing mess.

First time eating here! I heard great things about plumeria and ALL of them are true. The food is great, the wait is short the portions are perfect! Vegan and non vegans enjoy it. I had my non vegan husband have some of what I got and he loved it more than what he ordered from the non vegan thai place across the street! He will now order from plumeria next time! I got the vegan duck spicy noodle level 3 for spice. A bit too spicy for me. So next time I will get a level 1 for spice. I dont like things too too spicy. The taste was amazing! So flavorful. I cant wait to eat again! Price was also good. Not too expensive. If you like drunken noodles this is basically a drunken noodle but one of the best I've tasted. If you have never tasted mock meat, this kinda tastes like meat. Very flavorful. Chewy like meat not like like tofu. Dont worry. You wont be disappointed. It's good. Just eat it!

We came here because of the Yelp reviews. This place is ridiculously busy and there's barely any parking. So quick tip, if you're super hungry..eat a small meal or a snack before going here because you will have to search for a parking spot and you're gonna have to wait in line. Last thing you want is to be HANGRY. We like the food but seems very ordinary. We had the crispy rolls and samosas. We also had the tangerine chicken, pad Thai, fried tofu. I prefer other vegan restaurants to be honest. I think we may have to go back again to try other items in the menu.

A hidden gem located near Mission Valley in the heart of the village at university heights offering up some delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes with hearty portions, great prices, and friendly service. Had an absolutely fantastic time here on a Saturday night. The wait around 6pm looked to be less than 15 minutes for parties less than 4 so it's a great option if you didn't make reservations. Ordered the Pad Thai with tofu and was blown away by the large portion of noodles. Not a big fan of soy based meat substitutes like tofurky but their plain tofu was fried crispy and a perfect accompaniment to the rich and soft rice noodles. I do wish there was a little more bean sprouts to counteract the richness with some cool, crunchy, fresh pieces sprinkled throughout. Waiter was extremely patient with a party of 4 that wanted to split the payment in an unusual way. Overall, it's a great option for vegetarians and even meat lovers who want a break from the traditional proteins of choice. You might be impressed with what this place comes up with.

A lovely meal at a very cosy place. The service was okay but the timing was a bit off at times, but that was compensated for by enthusiasm and a bunch of quirky details. I was more impressed by the small plates than the mains, next time I think I will go for a selection of smaller nibbles. You sit quite closely to your neighbouring tables, which is brings a communal feeling

We made an 2030 evening booking online and received an email confirmation, but the restaurant was closed. We called them and were told we could eat in their nearby restaurant Le Comptoir instead. They also offered the vegan menu as well, but most of their dishes had ‘run out’. The banana tree curry was bland with no hint of the scotch bonnet chillis detailed. It was served with a deep fried fritter, not the roti detailed. And it was covered in cashew nuts which weren’t mentioned at all. A hugely disappointing experience.

The place is beautiful, the food is delicious and the service is outstanding. What more could you want? I don't know what they do to those mushrooms, but they are indeed magical. So is the mac & cheese, although you might be disappointed if you're expecting it to taste like something bought from the supermarket and cooked in 3 minutes. Think of it like a fancy version. It's also not as creamy as, say, the one from Young Vegans, but I don't think it's in any way less good. :) Will definitely be coming back to try the dynamite vegan shrimp (and then everything else)!

  • 2/5 Yasmin Y. 3 years ago on Google
The shrimp was amazing but that's the only thing worth getting. The return of the Mac is aweful and wouldn't recommend getting it. The service felt disconnected and staff seemed to be in a daze. Luckily they participate in the eat out to help out scheme.

Vegan shrimps are really great but the rest was disappointing. Food was not fresh, the place didnt feel clean either. The banana blossom curry was super salty and the “pita” so hard to chew. The jackfruit shawarma was all right, but should more like a kebab box type of thing rather than a restaurant (like prices suggest). I think we were unlucky because of covid they merged the vegan place with non vegan and it looks like the vegan one had a higher standard previously. Overall not happy...

Came for lunch post-lockdown and had the opportunity to eat from both the vegan and full menu which suited our small party perfectly. The food was delicious! The aubergine zaalock and dynamite shrimp starters were to die for, and the banana tree curry is a must! Beautiful spices all round and authentic lamb tagine too. The service was super friendly and we will most definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! Thanks for a great time!

It was good but not incredible. The waitress was really nice and the food was quick. Not sure if we didn't choose the right dishes but nothing but the jackfruit nagets was impressive. We asked for two cocktails a blueberry mojito(not really good) and the special almond one (that was good). Average price. Nice place to go for lunch/dinner if you're around

Absolutely loved it, not a vegan but love vegan dishes and this has to be the best vegan restaurant in London for me. Shrimp dynamite, lentil Kofta tagine, caramelized onion and chickpeas were delicious but the Mac and Cheese was my favourite. Fairly priced and juices were fresh aswell. Can't wait to go again!

We visited Comptoir V for a anniversary dinner. We came across this vegan place based on online reviews and thought we would experience it. Location: Adjacent to Kensal Rise overground station which was perfect for us getting there and getting back home. 5/5 Food: For starters we ordered the jackfruit bites in BBQ sauce and dynamite shrimp. For mains we ordered the spiced island curry and cashew mac and cheese. For dessert we had had a slice for fruity 'no cheese' cheesecake. All in all we enjoyed the whole food experience. The food was very tasty. 5/5 Food/Drink Availability: When it came to ordering drinks we wanted the hug in a mug and gold spice, however we were told that the hot drinks machine was out of action and we could only order cold drinks . We were disappointed but decided to go for water and a gingerella soft drink. However we were told they were out of gingerella too, so had to settle on two waters. For dessert we were told there was no Moroccan pancake nor any crumble, so just had to share a slice of 'no cheese' cheesecake. 2/5 Service: Service was slow especially for ordering food and waiting for plates to be taken away, they seemed short staffed for the night and maybe overworked as it was getting busy and also had online orders to deal with. However the staff were friendly with us. 3/5 Environment: Its a small restaurant with a middle eastern decor vibe. Our table for two felt cramped in amongst the larger tables. There is only one toilet for customers to use, so use it when you can! 3/5

We tasted 2 sandwiches : One with mixed vegetables and the other with falafel. Both were excellent, and I expect the other items to be just as good. If you are very hungry, go for the sandwiches which are very filling. As a vegetarian, it is heartening to see a pure veg Irani restaurant. The ambiance was great too.

Definitely one of our favorites in San Diego! For vegan, vegetarians, and non-vegetarians alike. They are located in a very charming part of town, on Park Avenue. Highly recommended! And great news! They have opened a new location in one of our favorite Southern California towns... in Encinitas... Can’t wait to check it out!

I love Thai food, but where I live there aren't many vegan options. Plumeria was great for vegans (I bought a second serving of my entree to reheat the next day!) My non-vegan friends loved the cream cheese wanton, and the curry (although one thought yellow curry came with potatoes, and got tempura fake chicken which she'd never tried so once it got soggy she didn't enjoy it.) I got the spicy noodles (like a unique riff on pad see ew) with tofu and spring rolls.

I love Thai food and if you do too, this is a must. if you go plumeria you can find vegetarian/vegan dishes with, in my humble opinion, flavor, presentation and service 10/10. If you ask me I will highly recomend my favorite dish that is the spicy noodle with imitation chicken, but I always order a tangerine chiquen with withe rise as entree and my favorite drink, the Thai tea with coconut milk... Ooh and don't forget the desert, fried banana roll with vegan vanilla iced cream and some agave syrup. Yuuummm I'm hungry again.

The staff is super nice, food is good but it’s not the best Thai food. I didn’t like the plastic plates and cups and the restaurant is not really clean. We had the eggplant with beef which was good. The curry with chicken is okay and the tangerine fried chicken is good.

After having a terrible experience at another restaurant we ended up here for a very pleasant surprise! Great food. Noodles and fried rice were exceptional. I think level 3 or 4 out of 10 on spice level is good if you are hot and spicy liver. Over that will 🔥! Busy place!

Vegan thai food with so many vegan alternatives for regular thai dishes. The pad si ew and drunken noodles were amazing. The vegan satay options were delicious as well. Parking was a pain but the ambiance and food quality more than made up for it. Highly recommended.

Incredible food and service! If you're a vegetarian or even not one you must try this place because everything ordered was made to perfection! Thai samosas and red curry were delicious! And the fried banana egg roll desert was the perfect way to end the meal!

Wow wow wow! I do not have the proper words to describe how amazing the food is. We ordered the spicy noodles and tangerine chicken, my goodness the flavor! The service was great as well and will definitely be coming back!

Had an absolutely delicious meal here. So much good stuff on the menu, I don't think it's possible to be bored with this menu. The most outstanding dish was dessert. A spring roll of Cheesecake and banana. And that's saying something as the appetizers platter and main courses were worth coming back for already.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants in San Diego. Everything I’ve ordered has been very tasty but my go to is the Garlic Pepper Mock Duck and the Tuna Flower Cups. Contrary to most Thai food restaurants, the spice level is moderate.

Solid 5/5 stars! Exceptionally friendly, attentive service and delicious, flavorful food - my favorite meal in three weeks in San Diego. I had the chikn satay, pad thai with veggies and the phenomenal Crispy Tofu Tamarind – the perfect amount of sticky, squishy and chewy. Plenty of food for several meals – although I gluttonously polished off an inadvisable amount in the first sitting because it was so freakin’ good. And I never say freakin’!! Loads of clearly-labelled vegan and gluten-free items on the menu. Regrettably I made a tactical error in saving Plumeria for my last day, as I don’t normally get this excited about Thai food, otherwise there would’ve been repeat visits for sure. Indoor and outdoor seating. Street parking only.

Had the beautiful, delicate and delicious flower cups for an appetizer. Had the rana with 3 beans for my protein, although I wish I had ordered the mock duck as I tasted it on my friend's plate and it was incredible. The portions are generous, the staff is welcoming and the food is so healthy & delicious.

Yesterday I had small Tom yum soup, crispy cauliflower cups and Basi Thai. Even though my soup was different from what I expected, I really enjoyed the taste and healthy meal with broccoli, mushrooms and other veggies in it. Crispier cauliflower cups were also delightful I was thinking that I want to learn how to cook this yummy appetizer and how I can have a couple workshops with their chef 👩‍🍳. My main dish was also delicious, spicy 🌶 (and I only had 4 out of 10) and so so good heart quality made. Thank you for the restaurant for an amazing job!

Good place for vegan and vegetarians. They have a great variety of options. The food was really good. We tried the thai cashew, yellow curry and thai samosas. The drinks were alright, I wouldn’t recommend them. Overall the food and the options make the trip worth it. You can also spice it up by letting your server know. We tried a 7/10 and it had a decent spice to it.

This place is really great. I highly recommend eating here to friends & family. I had the Tom Yum soup and Yellow Curry with vegan chicken. The flavors are exactly as described, the veggies are perfectly prepared, not soggy or overcooked. I enjoyed the way they cut their veggies. It’s very creative and definitely has an effect on the taste and texture. A couple of reasons I wouldn’t give them 5 stars are 1) the water tastes like tapwater, they need a new filter if they’re serving filtered water, forgot to ask. 2) they provide an accessible restroom, however, there is not a clear path to get to the restroom. A 4 star rating is high for me since I am familiar with eating at Michelin restaurants and I rarely give 5 stars. I will definitely go here again.

I would rate 6/5 stars if possible, this place is incredible! The food is incredibly flavorful, everyone was so kind, and the atmosphere is beautiful. I will definitely be coming back! I’d recommend the fresh spring rolls, Ka Pow noodles with crispy duck, and the spicy noodles.

This place holds a special spot in my heart, always making it to my 'must-visit' list when I'm back in San Diego. My preferred proteins are the mock chicken and duck, and this time, I tried a delicious taro tea. We shared a delightful meal consisting of pineapple fried rice and a tangerine dish with crispy chicken, both of which were fantastic. The restaurant maintains a great level of consistency in serving healthy and delicious food. Despite not being a vegetarian, I thoroughly enjoy the experience, even when opting for takeout. However, it's worth noting that parking can be challenging, so depending on the time of day, be prepared to walk a few blocks.

The Thai basil vegetable dish is the best dish I have ever had. Every time I am in Encinitas I have to stop by.
