Vegan??? You would’ve never guessed it! The beet burger is outta this world! The Mac and cheese...a stand out. Fresh smoothies?? They got them! The green machine smoothie is delicious! Have to admit the nachos are one of the best I’ve had. The presentation on the food is outstanding. The sin tres leches cake was great! Although only one of our group members is vegan, we all were greatly satisfied with our plant based meals. We will surely be back to this wonderful establishment.

I ordered almost everything on their menu my first time there. Greens were the best I ever had. Cabbage was so tasty I may go back for a bucket load. If youre hungry and looking for food, go here get lunch and enjoy the day. Great good, big portions, love it.

I reviewed EL a few weeks to over a month ago. It was so tasty. I unfortunately must amend my review to include DO NOT PATRONIZE AFTER 5pm AS THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE. It is not very fresh; meaning what is left over from earlier in the day must go! They close at 7 or 8 p.m. I cannot recall, but the later one goes, the worse the food is. I have not experienced this on one occasion, but at least five or more. For example, the vegetables and proteins were fried out from sitting in the heat. The service even have me mac and cheese (cashew) which had been sitting in something like a crock pot on the side. More importantly, the same cook is not always in operation. Last week the tofu chicken salad was way too sweet but the cashew mac and cheese was excellent; but this past Thursday it was dry and improperly seasoned. In essence, consistency is the key. This is true with most restaurants. I don't think I will ever go back on a Thursday and definitely not a few hours before closing. More so, my husband told me he cannot tolerate the food as it is not seasoned well. He prefers my vegan cooking and is a serious carnivore! BUT he said, "If they have some good vegetables, bring me a plate of those. I know I can trust your judgement on getting something good" Not the case on Thursday. I was not going to take him anything! This was very unfortunate and disappointing. I am going to still visit EL since it is the only natural vegan restaurant in the area but sincerely hoping they can improve in some key areas I have mentioned.

Wow I was surprised to visit again the restaurant with the service and my favorite dish the Parihuela soup where it lacked many ingredients and the reduce size and tasted as if it were a canned soup. They told me that restaurants have a new owner, an the overprices.

Food: I am practically a carnivore. Yet, a vegan carrot cake managed to captivate me. I was surprised by how such a rich alternative to the classic dessert could be created without the use of eggs or dairy. The flavor loses nothing in this vegan adaptation. So far, I have only tried the carrot cake (bought it for a vegan friend’s birthday), but I will surely return for more. Service: I only picked up the cake, so I did not have much exposure to the staff, but when I discussed options on the phone, the woman assisting me was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Verdict: A vegan restaurant that anyone can enjoy...even the carnivores.

It is a very calming environment to enjoy a wholesome meal. Sure, they tell you to not use cell phones inside but it's what makes it so nice in there. Put down your phone, eat delicious vegan food and engage with whoever you went with. The regular size plate I felt was more than filling for me. I can't imagine how much larger the big portion is. The menu changes every time I stop by so it's always wonderful and different. (You can check online to see what they're serving today.)) Make sure you grab a mug of the "twig tea". There's always a soup and then a salad with the main plate/ entree.

Delicious vegan food. We visited with our whole family including children (mind you, they can be picky) and everyone enjoyed the whole meal. We liked the cozy, quiet and calm atmosphere. The kindness of the servers did not go unnoticed. Thank you!!!

I was in the East Bay and wanted to hit a vegan restaurant for lunch as there so few choices in Marin where I live. Chose this since it was on my route and had some good reviews. The interior is plain, but warm and friendly. There's a menu on the whiteboard which lists the meal for the day. You get a choice between medium and large serving. This day it consisted of a lentil soup followed by a plate with salad, garbanzo beans, rice, and two vegetables. I went with medium and all in all, very good tasting and filling. They also have organic beers and wines. I went with a complimentary tea. On my way out I picked up an almond blueberry cookie. I give the food a 4, service a 5, and that extra bump for keeping it vegan and organic.

Didn't know what to expect, but the simplicity and quality is what makes this place stand out. Each of the "side dishes" that make up the main lunch item could be their own separate price point -- and I would've paid for them each. I'll be going back again, then again after that.

Easy, great tasting good for you food. Only one choice, medium or large. My prefix meal came with soup, beans, rice, salad, collard greens, and pumpkin. Tea, and water were free, but self-service. Tasty wholesome and filling.

The wait staff and service we're great. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I am not vegan or even vegetarian. I can say most of the food was good others not so much. Nachos were good. The "cheese" tasted and felt like cheese. The "chicken" quesadilla was good. The Mac and cheese was good also. The crab cake dish did not taste anything like the real thing and it was super salty. The shakes weren't that good either. I am also not a fan of the coconut "ice cream." The rose pasta was okay. Overall it was an interesting dinner but nothing on the menu stood out and it's just not a place I would return.

Amazing place. Had the Cuban sandwich and seitan wings. Both tasted like the real thing, i was very impressed. Can be a real good alternative depending on the day you go and who cooks. There is no consistency with the production of food as far as taste (some days the food is either over seasoned or not seasoned enough). First rule of vegan cooking is season well and this does not mean salt or pepper; nor does it mean over powering with other seasonings. There should be a very good balance. Not a fan of their desserts at all. The cashew mac and cheese is usually good. The brown rice and any of the meats containing a gravy are delicious as well. Often times, the chicken patties are dry (unfortunately, in the three years I have patronized the eatery, I have only had a good order at least two or three times that I recall, so I don't order them anymore. Never go two - three hours before closing. The food is not refreshed and quality is not great. Some days I enjoy, and others I am not impressed. When on a Daniel fast, it definitely helps to eat here to add variety and get out of a boring eating routine, but ask about ingredients to be safe. Overall, it is definitely a great substitute for those wanting to get away from meat, dairy, etc. for a time or even transition over to a vegan diet. It could be sooooo much better if there was consistency with the preparation of the food and much more variety should be offered, especially for the price.

Absolute perfection.. All of their items are certified organic and I would describe the fare as Asian/Indian monk fusion. They offer meals in courses or al a carte.. Get the multi course meal; it comes with fantastic soup, rice, curried vegetables. You won't be disappointed. This was my first time here, but it won't be my last. This is one of the first places that is good enough to revel my dearly departed Herbivore. Thank you for such a great experience.

Such a relaxing experience! The food is absolutely delicious and healthful. The twig tea warms the soul. I love places that specialize in one amazing thing and serve it. The medium plate is plenty unless you actually want leftovers choose large and remember to bring your own tupperware! The owners are wonderful and welcoming. Delicious vegan food. I came in on a slow Sunday for lunch from a local tip and the atmosphere was perfect for me: peaceful and serene. They cook one meal a day and you only have two options: a medium or large portion (both come with soup and unlimited hot tea). I got the medium portion for ~$13 and was not disappointed. Very tasty and lots of veggies. I only had 25mins so the staff brought me my food in a to go container and let me pay ahead of time before I started eating. Highly recommended

You'd also think they'd understand enough english (which they do) to fully and competently hear your order with there only being 2 options they designed. However, its easy to overstand the workers just simply act like they do not understand when it's a "different type" of individual entering here. 4x in a row, different days within a 2 week period, I tell them I dont want a certain food item on my plate due to allergic reasons. Then they act like it was an English impairment that didnt allow them to fulfill my request. When they act fake like this you can only start to wonder about the food integrity. The food was delicious! Great service and on Thursdays they have live music. The whole menu was vegan and offered multiple non dairy options (soy + coconut were ones I noticed) and gluten free choices. For dessert we had the special which was a pumpkin waffle which is the attached photo (it was super tasty!) I can't wait to come again. :-)

I’m dairy free and this was the best vegan Mac n cheese I’ve had. Ok and I’m not going to lie the first thing I ate was the lava cake and ice cream. I would just go there for that. So. Delicious. Very casual location with good outdoor seating. The food was ok. The adult Mac was interesting and the BALT wrap was tasty. The funky monkey smoothie was terrible. It tastes like chalky almond milk Yoo-hoo. Now the chocolate lava cake was very good. Healthy food but the pricing is serious. For two people with one smoothie my bill was about $60.00 Now I’ve been to quite a few vegan spots and this one for the food was kind of outrageous.

(holidays have wait times- book a week in advance for major occasions) yes, the entire menu is vegan. yes, they can accommodate your celiac. yes, your non-vegan family will eat to capacity and like the food. yes, you will absolutely self-induce a food coma in the car ride home. The owner is the epitome of a vegan Alton Brown, and Alton Brown is a culinary legend, in my books. Kudos to you, Mr Owner and staff- You all run a tight ship, and it shows.

I have been here a more then a dozen times. I always start with my food allergies and I’m very clear about them. At least 80% of the time something is put in the computer wrong and my food either comes out with something I’m allergic to on it and they have to remake it OR they forget to note the allergies completely and then have to remake my food. Yesterday I ordered a salad and I also order spinach dip and they didn’t mark the allergy on the dip so they had to remake it and it took 30 min after I finished my salad to get this dish. It was ridiculous. They NEVER comp anything on my bill and I’m so disappointed in the service. It’s sad because the food is good when I can eat it. I can’t say I’ll continue to go to this restaurant because their customer service has been pretty terrible.

As a bona fide meat eater I was skeptical. I was happily proven wrong. The veggie wrap was delicious. It was well seasoned and and everything worked well. The slaw was incredibly creamy and the Dijon mustard was a great touch. The Buffalo Cauliflower was amazing. The wait was indicative of the popularity the restaurant but we were still seated quickly. For parties of 6 or more they add gratuity but the service was fantastic so it was not a big deal.

this was the first time my wife and I went to Great Sage. being a vegan restaurant, the food selection is ok and there are not a lot of choices. the quality of our main dishes was excellent. I got the 'impossible burger ' and loved it. it was moist and tasted like beef- I will gladly get it again. their beer and wine selection is descent and the prices are reasonable. we shared the carrot cake (gluten free - my wife has a gluten issue) for dessert and it was ok. the cake was a little bit dry and needed more carrots and nuts but it was edible. the icing was outstanding- if they add more carrots and nuts this will be a super dessert. my biggest issue was with the noise level. the walls don't have anything to absorb sound and the tables are very close. I could easily hear the conversation of the folks next to us - so I worked to tune them out and tune in my wife. for these reasons I rated this restaurant 4 stars. but because of the great food and our excellent waitress , we will return. i will just pick a different time and wont get the carrot cake.

I have a dairy allergy, so it's rare for me to be able to fully relax at a restaurant. So a vegan restaurant, which is guaranteed to be free of dairy, is like a safe haven for me. It doesn't hurt that the food here is always good, and I don't ever find myself missing meat. (For other people who, like me, aren't always vegan, I would recommend steering away from the omelettes - while tasty, the texture is a bit off). My favorite meal is brunch, since that's usually such a dairy heavy meal that I don't get to have brunch out very often.

Really a big disappointment! Way to expensive for what you get. The T.R.U.F pizza is like 15 cm in a big box. So after receiving the box we thought NICE, but then a very tiny pizza is inside! It looks good and tasted nice but just not for 9!!! Euro. The Notorious Sumo is a nice looking sandwich and tasted good, but for 15 euro and all the Insta reviews I had so high expectations, and while eating this burger I could not shake the feeling I was eating a sandwich of 15 euro!!!! To be honest it wasn’t that special! If that feeling stays in your head it means your not satisfied and not blown away at all. I could pay less then half and order a plant-based burger at BK and would be more satisfied because I paid less money and enjoyed it equally. If you really want a good sandwich for this amount of money (and fries with it to) go to Ter Marsh and order the planted-based Natural Happiness, which I think you will enjoy so much more!!! However if you go to the VJFB because of your believe they have a nice menu but just way to expensive!

My sisters BEGGED me to take them to this restaurant, and we had a great time. The burger was juicy and stacked with toppings, and the dipping sauces for the fries were delicious! Glad I tried it. They must have changed the chef. I still think that Dragon Chinese restaurant in LA has the best black bean noodle. But, I am coming back to this place again cause it's the best one in La Crescenta area.

Delicious, fresh and wholesome foods presented in a large plate or medium plate selection, also with other foods you could buy separately. Our medium plates were satisfying and filling. I am originally from New York City and I have a feeling that this place hidden in Denver is better than most vegan places in New York City. The chef has perhaps been influenced by Asian cuisine Because the cucumber salad was very reminiscent of authentic Korean cucumber side dish. The fried cauliflower and the Cuban sandwiches were unbelievably good and hard to believe they were vegan. The soups are very good as well. I hope to return sometime soon although it’s probably 30 minutes out of the way for me from my office thank you

I have loved WC for a while and am so happy with the new menu. The pastrami gouda sandwich was better than I thought it would be, felt like I should try something new since I regularly get the same items. I was happy! My partner got the smoked turkey with brie baguette, it was tasty! We had to swap a few bites. As usual the cauliflower wings are great. I appreciate the sauce on the side for the to go order. I once had a super uppity staff member not listen to the order and get irritated with me when I wanted the order corrected, this was quite a while back and otherwise enjoy great hospitality, especially from Amy. Getting back to the good. Everything is vegan and is true to being comfort food. My recommendations are the lavender lemonade, any of their shakes, the crisp cauliflower BBQ wings with ranch, the mac cheese with mushroom bacon. My mom swears by their blueberry wasabi vinaigrette. It is street parking, if you happen to end up on their waitlist, there is a gourmet market across the street to peruse or Rooster magazine is available in their entrance. Eaten from here several times now, most of their food here is really good, main things that let me down though are the tofu scrambles and cheese sauce. The tofu scramble doesnt really have any flavor, and the cheese sauce, while it does have a "warm" taste to it, is still too mild/not very cheesy. Their Seitan wings have good texture and are prob my favorite, sandwiches are okay. I also enjoy the Chai shake and seasonal cheesecake. Portion sizes are good so i dont feel like im being ripped off for the price. Tried dining in the other day and was pleased by the fact that they do contact tracing.

Went on a girls dinner date with mom and sister. I've been a head waitress for upscale restaurants almost 15yrs and never had experienced at a restaurant that I have no clue who my female servers name is. Took almost 10 mins to be greeted 20 mins to receive our ordered drinks. I noticed our server was struggling and all over the place. Not sure if this place is run properly by sections or what not, so maybe that was the reason for her not being as attentive as expected and she kept forgetting things although we were being mindful of how the food industry works so we weren't too bothered. I absolutely love Peruvian food I even worked for an upscale Peruvian restaurant and am very familiar with their cultural food. I have no complaints about the food or any what so ever the place is beautifully decorated and I noticed the host doing her thing bussing tables and tending to guest promptly. Our server was pleasant besides the little mishaps but will come back to dine here again. We are always great tippers we are mindful of the food service industry and we also respect the personal lives behind the waitress title because we are only human. Leaving the restaurant we noticed the drive thru so everything made sense for our wait when we arrived so great job cora cora for stepping ur game up with the patio and drive thru.
