Contemporary art in an amazing modern building. Good cafe too. It's easy to spend two or three hours here. This place is a "must visit" if you like modern art and are visiting Helsinki.

Only half of the floors open and very few art objects to look at. For 20 euro this is a rip off . There are better art exhibitions in Helsinki than this one . Best was the views outside on snowy Helsinki . Don’t think we ever visit this one again

Get a culture injection right in the middle of downtown Helsinki! We visited Kiasma in December of ‘23 right in the middle of two exhibitions being switched out, so there were only two open exhibitions but that was enough. The works we saw were powerful and challenging to experience. The staff was friendly and the place was well organized with a minimist aesthetic to ensure nothing detracts from the art. There is also free coat check, a small but sufficient gift shop, and a cafe. Gave it four stars because of the two floors being closed. Seems like management could plan a little better to make sure half the museum didn’t close at the same time. 🤷🏻‍♂️highly recommended all the same.

Contemporary art museum in Helsinki. Easily accessible, not too far from the city center. Interesting exhibitions for the most part, particularly if you enjoy modern art. In terms of accessibility, they have stairs, ramps and elevators. They also have a cafe and a small shop.

The place is worth visiting, a lot of different exhibitions are presented. As a Ukrainian refugee I can enter for free, but the regular ticket I personally consider overpriced. 16-18 € is too much

Very impressive art museum. The building is just fantastic! Staff is friendly and the art collections they got are very interesting! Definitely worth a visit for art lovers. In my opinion, the price of 18 Euros for adults is a bit too high, but I love that minors are free!

Very modern building! Exhibition inside are timely changing. For me it was lack of some spatial installation, mostly it was some mulitimedial. One floor was dedicated to Finish gay artist..., not my taste.

This place is suitable for those who love modern art. I must admit that one should go there only if they are open-minded. There are 5 floors with exhibitions and some will make you go wow but some you will probably want to skip if you are not prepared. Anyway, I think everyone will find there something interesting. I went there 'for the company' and because the weather was awful. But I liked the place and discovered a lot of philosophical aspects in a majority of art pieces. The museum itself is located in the centre and not far from the train station. It is easy to get there.

Excellent modern art museum. The descriptions by exhibits are also in English. Cafe staff were very friendly and helpful, e.g in preparing a very tasty gluten and dairy free sandwich. Coffee was very good quality. Outstanding place.

Kiasma is a wonderful building for contemporary art exhibitions. Currently you can see ARS22 exhibition with artists from more than 20 different countries. The pieces of the exhibition communicate with real life, with the world and the visitors. For each piece of art you get exact instructions what you can do with it. You can sit in some of the installations, learn, feel, or communicate with artificial intelligence. There is a library for and about architecture of indigenous people in a location made up like a shelter in the north. There you can find so many examples of indigenous invention out of found civilization rubbish. Fascinating. The building itself has also a fascinating architecture. Currently there is some reconstruction work going on at the outside. Therefore you cannot see the complete facade from all sides. The interior design is also great.

Very interesting modern art in an impressive building. All of the pieces and installations were well thought out and showed the artists' effort. However, the ticket prices are a bit exaggerated

When we visited the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in 2011.11.4, there was an exhibition of El Anatsui, born in Ghana in 1944. We had great pleasure, it was a very different, truly contemporary and impressive exhibition. Beautiful works were exhibited in other halls of the museum as well. It was evening, but the museum had a lot of viewers.

(Translated by Google) Time and time again, an equally inspiring and admirable place, a work of art in itself and not forgetting, of course, the stunning and varied changing exhibitions. Here you can sometimes really forget the passage of time and just enjoy.

This was a very sensual experience with exhibits including music, scents, and moving image. I don't often warm to modern art, this was no exception. I am glad such places exist for the people who enjoy them. They baffle me. The building was fabulous, with great views

The museum is easy to navigate. Facilities are sufficient and well-maintained. There are lockers, sitting area, and large info section on the ground floor. Wheeled-chair friendly. Ample vibe. Great location next to central station and Oodin library. There’s also Kiasma cafe open until late.

I'm very familiar with Kiasma and have loved it since childhood. I have even performed there as a part of the complaint choir many years ago. The building is very modern and built with staircases, elevators and my favourites, the unnoticeable rises. All levels are easy to access and the curators are very good, finding new and innovative uses for the spaces in the true spirit of modern art.

Very cool modern art museum in central Helsinki. Interesting array of different types of art (multimedia) across many different floors. Comfortable to walk around and visit the different exhibits. The cafe on the ground floor has a lot of options available and the staff are very friendly.

Museum with a somewhat small but thought provoking collection. We’ve been to a few other modern art museums and frankly not gotten the point 😊. This one was actually a lot fun. Artists have used a very diverse set of formats from artificial hair to movies to cans and strings in their exhibits to make them super engaging and intriguing. Both adults and children will appreciate most of the exhibits. Allow about 1.5-2 hours for a visit.

Really nice contemporary arts museum. The exhibits were interesting and thought provoking. Some of the floors were closed when I went, but there was no discount, sadly. It's a little expensive considering some of the other museums. Otherwise, I would recommend

Beautiful museum! With so many different concepts and exhibitions. Love that they bring a lot of artists and put them together. Love to see this kind of museum here in Finland! My girlfriend and I spend quite a good and fun time walking and seeing all the exhibitions rooms. Thank! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

The modern art museum Kiasma underwent a renovation recently and is always worth a visit. The exhibitions are thoughtfully curated and the building itself is a sight. On ground floor you can find a book shop, restrooms and a nice café that serves lunches as well.

It's a nice way to spend a few hours. Sometimes a line but often just ten minutes or less to queue. You can leave your coats in the cloakroom which is included in the ticket price. Usually a good changeable exhibition (was Markus Copper on our last visit), and an awful lot of other interesting artists. Gift shop, average. It's €20, which is why 4⭐, and not 5.

The museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in Helsinki has a number of interactive exhibits, which allow visitors to get hands-on with the art. This includes a large video game installation, a soundscape room, and a space where visitors can create their own art. The Museum currently feature the TOM of FINLAND exhibition until 29 October 2023. Must visit the VR exhibition of TOM’s home if you happened to stop by; it feature an interactive VR of his house and his exhibition throughout.

When I visited the exhibitions were Daniel Steegmann Mangrané, Tom of Finland, and Dreamy. Tom of Finland felt a bit repetitive because the exhibition was so large, but Dreamy on the 2nd floor and especially Mangrané's work on the 4th and 5th floors were interesting and unique.

A modern museum in all ways. The curators surely know how to pick winners. I so enjoyed being part of the art exhibits, from model drawing with quality materials, to wearing headphones on a stage theatrical fun on the square stage and following commands while being observed. I closed my eyes. The restaurant was also wonderful. I love homemade spicy tomato soup. They had it.

Prime location for contemporary art in Finland with one of the most central locations in the whole country. Overall a very good and informative experience, facilities working well and staff knows their job. Building is also interesting with a lot of openness that resembles Tate Modern. The actual experience is very much pending the available exhibition. Each exhibition is different, some are incredible strong and others just good.

I love Kiasma! Well worth of visiting every and each exhibition for sure! The building itself is an experience. Beautiful and harmonious surroundings filled with though awakening interesting art, Kiasma never leaves you cold. Pop in on your lunch break or make it a half day trip with the family and friends. Under 18`s free entrance. I have no experience of the restaurant, but seems busy. In the Kiasma shop you always find something nice to bring home. Mainly visiting Kiasma with my 11 yr old daughter and she loves the place too! Strong recommendation <3

Useita näyttelyitä. Tila itsessään hieno kokemus ja näkymät päätyikkunasta musiikkitalolle päin upea - maiseman ja tilan taideteosten vuoropuhelu kiinnostava. Museomyymälässä runsas valikoima kirjoista koruihin, myös lapset huomioitu. Myös kahvilaravintola.

Other museums rarely inspire me as much as Kiasma. It has also brought the concept to this day as people of all age groups seem to visit the place. Also has a great shop and a good cafe to stop by.

The museum is a great morden space. It puts you straight into the mood to meet some morden outstanding works. If you are visiting with children, be aware of some exhibitions can be too much for you child while there would not be any warnings.

(Translated by Google) The building is great and an experience in itself. Special places include the lobby with its bridges, the spaces at the north end, which overlook the civic square, and the actual gallery spaces. Each room is different, my favorite is the southernmost gallery on the 3rd floor. There are usually several exhibitions and they change a few times a year. You should follow the calendar of events. (Original) Rakennus on hieno ja elämys itsessään. Erityisiä paikkoja ovat aula siltoineen, pohjoispään tilat, joista näkymät kansalaistorille sekä varsinaiset galleriatilat. Jokainen huone on erilainen, suosikkini on 3. kerroksen eteläisin galleria. Näyttelyitä on yleensä useita ja ne vaihtuvat muutaman kerran vuodessa. Kannattaa seurata tapahtumakalenteria.
