A great free museum and outdoor recreation area. The area represents the rural milieu of the 40s and 50s. Various events and activities are organized in the area. It is well suited for the whole family, and especially for the youngest in the family when sheep and cows graze in the area during the summer season. There is a cafe in the area and many groups of tables for a picnic. There are also two old cemeteries in the area. It's worth a visit.

A very nice experience. there would have been a lot to look at and walk around, but it was a bit too hot to have been able to sniff every place. However, we looked at the "center" of the area, where there was an Agricultural exhibition in cooperation with the Agricultural Museum Sarka. There was also a nice task for the children, where it was presented how children used to learn to work on the farm while playing on vacation. In addition, we found a national costume exhibition in the area, where we received very knowledgeable and good guidance about national costumes and their differences, e.g. between the costumes of Finnish-speaking regions and Swedish-speaking regions.

Kurala Kylämäki is a well-preserved rural milieu for the whole family. You can visit here all year round and various events are organized there. A very lovely place. We have been here many times of the year and will continue to do so. Always find new and nice things to wonder about and remember later.

This is an open air museum (and it's free!). It is about 5km from the city center. It's small, but a nice place to visit. If you're only in Turku for a short time, I wouldn't say this is a must see, but if you have a little extra time, it's worth the visit.

Kurala Kylämäki (Swedish: Kurala bybacke) is a museum and cultural recreation area owned by the City of Turku, which maintains the rural environment with its buildings, gardens, meadows and fields in the 1940s and 1950s. Kurala village hill in 2004. The village has four farms - Iso-Rasi, Vähä-Rasi, Iso-Kohmo and Vähä-Kohmo - and their 26 buildings. The area is protected by the Ancient Monuments Act in 1980, and the buildings in the town plan in 1984. The village of Kurala belongs to the Aura River National Landscape and Turku National Park, and is one of the nationally significant built cultural environments defined by the National Board of Antiquities. Among other things, the handicrafts and working methods that have shaped the village's current traditional landscape are maintained. The buildings of Iso-Kohmo in the middle of the hill have been chosen as the core of the farm. In the experimental workshop, handicrafts are widely maintained from ancient techniques to art workshops. Involving the public and passing on handicrafts from one generation to the next is a key objective.

(Translated by Google) Great old milieu. In good condition, not blunt. Because of the animals, I still wouldn’t come here alone. A few cows and a couple of sheep, however, are relatively good. (Original) Hieno vanha miljöö. Hyvässä kunnossa, ei töhritty. Eläinten takia tänne en silti yksinomaan tulisi. Muutama lehmä ja pari lammasta, suhteellisen hyvät oltavat kuitenkin.

We went to see Christmas from grandma's time. It's always nice to visit Kurala village hill with children, when you can try many things there and play in the playroom and play store. The cafe was wonderful, different pairs of cups and the rustic interior of an old-fashioned hut created an atmosphere.

A lovely place for a picnic. In May, everything blooms and turns green. At least the sheep were already visible outside, you can feed them with dandelion leaves.

(Translated by Google) Well a basic small farm being a place with a few animals. Chickens, sheep and cows. Quiet milieu and cafe. The children like it, but here for adults it is not terribly visible after the first time. (Original) No perus pienoismaatilan olonen paikka, jossa muutamia eläimiä. Kanoja, lampaita ja lehmiä. Rauhallinen miljöö ja kahvila. Lapset tykkäs mutta ei täällä aikuisille kyllä ihan hirveästi ole nähtävää ekan kerran jälkeen.

(Translated by Google) It was a really big disappointment. The image of Kurala has always been vague and now it has really strengthened a lot. The place was confusing and not really any clear signs anywhere. Not even a coffee found! The legs were visible, but that was it. They went there because of the animals. No need to go anymore. (Original) Oli todella suuri pettymys.

(Translated by Google) More prohibitions than signs. The animals were only sheep and cows. No cafe found. Minimal contact with animals. Maybe Korona has taxed? Most animals elsewhere in care? (Original) Enemmän kieltoja kuin opasteita. Eläimiä oli vain lampaita ja lehmiä. Kahvilaa ei löytynyt. Kontakti eläimiin vähäinen. Onko kenties korona verottanut?
