MENAR Bird sanctuary near Udaipur Rajasthan..................45km drive to MENAR LAKE from Udaipur (Udaipu-chittorgarh RD) . A very calm and friendly residential environment. It's locality🙂 is very good. Not many tourists come, just a pretty countryside. Menar lake is place for nature and bird sighting🦢. Here there are two lakes, first one is smaller and it is adjacent to the menar village. You will see a big statue of lord Shiva❤️ on the opposite side of the lake. The car can go very close to the lake just 10m away😁. By the way, no restorant or fast food services here😄, which is good for the nature. I have visited here twice and enjoyed the second time as well as the first one🤟😎. You will definitely enjoy the road and the beauty of this place. There are some more things that make the village and the lake stand out. Must visit 🙂.

A must go for avid bird watchers.  You will sight flamingos, stilts, Pelicans , lapwings sandpipers and many more species of birds. Birds abound all round the year but winters are the best time to visit. The lake area has marshy land , so be careful with your choice of shoes. Do take your binoculars and a camera with good quality zoom lenses! And do spend some time at the village talab near the Shiva statue. Cheers!

In a hour you could spot more than 30 variety of birds..when we visited were greeted with flamingos, sarus cranes, pipits, sand Piper , Bar headed geese to name a few.. Good spot for birding.. care to be taken while walking on the lake bed as it's marshy.. there is a bird festival arranged too in winter month..

Lovely place. Had a great time over there. We had gone from Udaipur for picnic , the distance was about 50 km. One can spend whole day over there having fun.
