We visited in May 2023, it was an amazing experience. Beautiful location, elegant interior, excellent food (with options). It was worth every penny. No complaints and complete satisfaction with the food, services, amenities. Highly recommend this place

Good food, good service, decent cottages (that's where we stayed). Water pressure and running hot water in the shower could be better. Staff is courteous and helpful. 10 min drive from the safari gate. Approach road to the property (about a km or two) is a metal road. Hiran river flows right in front of the property

Rooms and location gives forest vibes with compact and cozy tent rooms in the middle of the forest by riverside. They have a trekking route nearby where you see crocodiles at the end of the river. Overall there is nature walk, quiet ambience and calm surroundings. Great value. Highly recommend

If you are going for Lion Safary, this is the place to stay. Excellent resort with good service staff. Punjabi Food is good. They provide full breakfast which was very good.

I stayed there for 2 nights. Its location is 2 km interior of Sasan village on the banks of Hiran river. It's a well curated property. With all basic amenities of a 3 star hotel. There were few glitches in electric wiring. We had a la cart food. Printed menu is impressive but continental dishes are not available. Food quality is good. The cost of food is high with portion size very big. Be careful when you order. Service quality is at par with similar resorts.

I visited the hotel around 1 week ago. At the time of online booking, i had little doubt about the hotel facility and its environment. Also had some doubt about room quality because it's tent room. But but but when I reached the hotel all my doubts were gone. It's a very peaceful environment, the rooms are very attractive and comfortable, nice swimming pool. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. They also advised us of nearby tourist locations and lion safari. Last but not least the food..... the food was really delicious and tasty. Special recommendation for " Shahi Paneer". Loved it. Must try once.

It was very nice experience. The entire staff over there is just too good and i would love to visit other properties of same group whenever possible. Overall it was a great stay with good people and tent room was too good and specious. Had great time with my family.

Superbly set resort in Gir forest in the midst of nature. Excellent rooms with all standard amenities set in tent concept. Good food options well prepared and easy on stomach.

We found this tented and semi tented camp a very comfortable and most relaxing place to stay. Full of greenery, a river flowing in front (with crocodiles), reasonably good food, all other requirements of tourists catered for and a very positive, helping and smiling staff. I have come to Gir Lion Safari camp with my wife to celebrate her birthday. I am staying here from last 3 days and so far our stay is amazing. The location is very nice as it is close to the river where we could watch crocodiles. The staff is very friendly and food is also delicious. If you are looking for a place which is calm and peaceful then you must visit this place .

It was the most dramatic experience if I start from the beginning. As we took the turn to the hotel road, i thought my trip was going to be a disaster. The road was too bad and it was leading us nowhere. There was no sign, which way to take. As soon as we reached the place and opened the room, it was joyful. The entire experience is amazing. The room was too good and spacious (if you have booked a suite) Best things about the hotel: 1. Staff is helpful and cheerful. 2. The place is so beautiful. 3. The location is beautiful. 4. After reaching it feels the road does the justice to reach this place, you get the forest feel. 5. It is near to the safari place. 6. Food is amazing. They provide buffet service all time and àl-carte too. 7. They do have cultural performances planned in the evening along with a bonfire. 8. If you are leaving early for the safari, they will provide sandwiches(light breakfast) if you ask so. Just gave 4 star for the service as: 1. The room was cleaned but if the coffee sachets are over, they won't refill, you have to ask for it. 2. The used spoons in the room are not replaced with new and cleaned one and kept as it is after making the room. 3. AC was not working twice We had to ask for the service. It should be done before giving it to the guest. 4. The play area is no good as after the safari you want to relax, it is not worth visiting.

"I recently had a very disappointing stay at Gir Lion Safari Camp and would like to share my experience with other potential guests. First of all, the lack of proper lighting in the room made it difficult to see and work during my stay. The location of the resort is also a major concern, as it is in a remote area and far away from the city. This also raises questions about the safety and security of guests. Additionally, the food for vegetarians was substandard and was not up to the mark. The swimming pool and other amenities were not maintained and were in a poor state. The receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful, which added to the unpleasantness of my stay. Moreover, the resort was not worth the money I paid for it, considering the poor facilities and lack of service. The transportation services were also lacking, making it difficult to travel around the area. Overall, I strongly advise other guests to avoid Gir Lion Safari Camp due to the lack of proper lighting, remote and concerning location, poor food for vegetarians, lack of maintained amenities, rude receptionists, not worth the money and lack of transportation. I hope this review helps potential guests make an informed decision when choosing their accommodations."

The central Indian forests are some of the best when it comes to nature and wildlife conservation in the subcontinent. There are a number of national parks that are world famous with thousands of visitors coming every year. One such park that is there in every naturalist or wildlife enthusiasts mind is the Gir National park. Not only does it have a healthy population of wildlife which includes both herbivorous and carnivorous but the landscape and the unique vegetation makes viewing these relatively easier than other parks. The keystone species is ofcourse the Lion and with the count upwards of 500+ there is every possibilities of viewing one during your visit. Other important animals are the leopard ( including couple of blackys ), wild dogs, sloth bears, wild boar, gaur, and multiple species of deers. It is also famous for 300 plus bird species, especially during the winter months when a lot of migratory birds visit the park. Again multiple species of owls and eagle are the favorites amongst viewer and photographers.

A great place to stay if you are planning for the jungle safari. It takes nearly 10-15 minutes to reach the safari entrance gate. It has a games room and a swimming pool for kids. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food preparation is also good and offers you both veg and non-veg options. The only negative is the entry gate path. The road is not cemented and it is difficult to reach the main building especially at night.

Overall, I had a great experience with the Gir Lion Safari Camp, staff was incredibly helpful and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect.

Stayed here for 2 nignts from 24-26 th Dec 2022. Had a comfortable stay. Friendly and trained staff. Beautiful location ( which was a little difficult to find) and the food was yummy. Overall the place was fabulous!!

The hotel is very well maintained. We chose the buffet option and the breakfast, lunch and dinner were really good with evenimg tea. The rooms were clean and comfortable The sasan gir and other safari routes are 10-15 minutes away from the hotel, it is very accessible as well. There is a water body outside the hotel along with a tiny trek and a temple which makes for a very picturesque view

It's completely worst hospitality service. Food quality and staff behavior was pathetic. They don't have manner to talk with customers. Even the road is so scary and risky for family. Personally I will never ever suggest this resort. Please please please book any other camp side, resort or hotel but not at all book this resort.. if you really want to enjoy food and service.

Great place to stay !! It's in between the jungle and has beautiful tents style room. Service and food is good. Staff is warm and welcoming and happy to help always. It is difficult to locate the place as there no sign boards and Google maps gives a complete different route. Adding some sign boards will definitely be a great help. We couldn't locate the place hence had to call the reservation office to understand how to reach the resort and people at reservation office very quite rude. Over all a nice place to relax and rejuvenate.
