This is always one of our favorite in house trips! Piedmont Wildlife Center does a great job helping you find the appropriate trip package and is very organized. They are very knowledgeable about all of their animals and then some! They are patient to answer student questions and take time to let you get up close with the animals. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Our family had a great time on the turtle trek! We found 3 turtles, including a little adolescent. So cute!

While small, this hidden gem has a great variety of raptors! I scheduled a private tour for my partner's birthday and we had a great time meeting all of the birds. Our tour guide was super friendly and knowledgeable, and she showed a lot of skill in handling the red-shouldered hawk Willow outside of her enclosure. This would make a great afternoon for anyone, especially if you're already a wildlife lover. But regardless, expect to leave having learned something cool and with a new appreciation for our winged neighbors!

Piedmont Wildlife Center came to our elementary school for a presentation. Wow did I have some engaged 2nd graders! They LOVED the different types of animals. They were sponges, learning all types of new facts! I am sure there will be many parents who learn something new tonight! Great segways between the sweet ambassadors in front of us and the animals of NC which my students might see in the wild. Loved the variety and how great the human ammbassador was with all our students. Thanks Piedmont Wildlife Center!

We went for a public tour today, with tour guide Jenna, & had an absolute blast! From the information shared, the clear passion for the birds, & even down to how nice their enclosures are! So glad we made the trip from Clayton!

Loved having the chance to see all the raptors and the Raven. We had a guided tour and it was FANTASTIC! Got to hear their back stories and learn about their habits, skills, personalities, and behaviors in the wild! Highly recommended! (Love the Screech Owl Arlo and Tony the Horned Owl!)

I attended one of PWCs foraging classes near Hillsborough. The class was very fun, interesting and engaging. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife and foraging. I will definitely be back for future classes.

I booked a classroom visit from PWC to a campground at Falls Lake where my daughter's class was learning about the wilderness. Noelle was easy to work with. Our presenter was engaging and interesting. It was an amazing experience!

We had an AMAZING time (grown ups and kids alike) at the Piedmont Wildlife Center. Our group of 3 families did a field trip where we got to spend time meeting and learning about all different animals (box turtle, corn snake, rabbit and opossum). The team at Piedmont were incredibly informative and engaging. They let the kids ask a million questions and shared lots of interesting facts. We then got to do a nature exploration hike in the woods where kids looked for bugs, moths, butterflies, and other insects. They loved it. A perfect day of learning and engagement. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Had an excellent experience here for a birthday party. Was completely outside, there is an amphitheater with benches where instructor gave engaging presentations on 4 animals, after each kids got to pet (hand sanitizer provided before and after) about 15-20 kids age range 9-10 and they were all kept very interested/entertained. This was about 30-40 minutes, afterwards the instructor (Alyssa!) Led kids in a very active game (park Ranger or werewolf) which involved a ton of running through the woods, they all thought the game was super fun and everyone was happy and tired afterwards. Lastly we had birthday cupcakes, there are about 4 picnic tables. Many kids asked to have more parties here, would definitely return!

I've had two virtual owl bomb visits with my team, and they are efficient, on time, friendly, and create a unique experience. I love supporting them and their animals!

We've invited Piedmont Wildlife Center into our classrooms for several years to kick off our animal units. The students get so excited to see the animals up close and gets them engaged for our new science unit.

Amazing birthday party! Instructors were extremely knowledgeable about the animals and the center (like when the cabin was built). Rustic charm and woodsy environment. Received multiple comments from parents about how impressed they were with the quality of the party. Educational all the while keeping 18 1st graders engaged in the presentation. Would definitely recommend this party venue.

PWC came to our school and did a phenomenal program for our students. It was an hour filled with great information that was made exciting and accessible for our middle school students, and the kids really enjoyed being able to touch the reptiles, engage with the presenter's questions, and see all the organisms up close. I was so impressed every aspect of the program, and I would love to have them back next year!

I have been at Piedmont for over 10 years now. I started off as a camper and am now a contracted educator. Some of the best memories I have growing up were made at PWC. Very knowledgeable staff, and all of the animals are well cared for. Leigh Farm Park is also a great place to walk around and enjoy nature. Highly recommend scheduling a program from here or just stopping by for a visit!

We recently attended an Owl Prowl walk hosted by PWC at the Mason Farm Preserve. It was a great time! Gail, past PWC executive director and current volunteer, was an excellent guide to the night meadow and wood's edge at the preserve. She provided a wealth of information, answered lots of questions, and can do a set of amazing owl calls. We were lucky enough to even have a barred owl call back. At the end of the walk, we had the chance to meet some of the PWC's animal ambassadors, which was a great ending to a fun evening. I would definitely do this again!

We had a great birthday party here! Kids ranged in age from 3-12, and everyone had a great time! Everyone loved seeing and learning about the Raptors, and Olive the opossum was feisty fun! Lots of things to check out in the cabin as well. Instructors were kind and knowledgeable. Thank you!

They have owls and a hawk in separate enclosures that you can view them in. They also have very nice trails to walk on through the woods.
