Joyner Park is my favorite place in Wake Forest to watch the sunrise, walk, and to take pictures. There is such a wonderful sense of community here. So grateful for this little slice of heaven in my own home town! πŸŒ³πŸΏπŸπŸŒ»πŸƒπŸŒ²

This park is my daughters favorite place to run. The hills, trees, the pond, swings and squirrels can keep her occupied for hours. If you plan a day trip make sure you pack a snack because there are no food or drink options in the park. Also watch out for people with their dogs unleashed.

Very nice clean park. Very easy walk, seniors friendly. Nice walkways. Some exercise stations. I love the swings. Great spots for photos. Has an open air wedding area with a stage that is surrounded by evergreen bushes., and is Very close to the historic stables. I have witnessed a wedding in progress when I went to check it out for the first time. In fact I was with the bride and groom to be, as I was to officiate their wedding! Please be mindful when a ceremony is in progress. Lovely park!

Nice, well maintained park in Wake Forest area. It’s a really huge park which has amenities like play area for kids, walking trails, cycle tracks, barbecue area. Kids play area has couple of slides and swings along with some other activities to do. Walking trails are really good to have walk as it go through every part of the park. This park is really made for every age group. There is also a big indoor hall to play indoor games like badminton. Parking lot is also spacious. Spent day well with family and friends.

Great park with plenty of room to spread out. Great for picnics, walking trails, or kicking / throwing a ball around. They also have a great recreation center and have lots of activities throughout the year (like summer movie night in the park.) there are also 4 free chargers for electric vehicles.

We love taking walks here with or without my dog, sometimes I will meet a girlfriend here to walk and talk. It's so pretty, great trails and plenty of parking. On the weekends there are events here and even food trucks sometimes. Definitely a nice place to get out and explore and be active. On the trails they have exercise stations as well. We love the old history, stones and tobacco barns. It was sad one had to be torn down last year. There is also an indoor rec center that is free to use a d hangout for any resident of Wake Forest. I live in Wakefield so for me to use it it's $25 a year or $50 for a family membership. They do have a magazine and activities you can also find them online exercise classes, art, crafts, yoga, Zumba etc. that you sign up for and pay a reasonable fee to participate some are free!! Definitely go, get out, breathe that fresh air, walk and explore.

One of my favs. Lots of paved walking trails. One side is a shaded path, the other side of the park trail is more sunny. There are bathrooms in the middle, a community center at one entrance, charging stations for EV’s (J type, not CCS), a playground for the kiddos, theater area and two beautiful walkways under rows of trees. There are historical buildings, dog poop bags and dispensers and plenty of squirrels for your pup to play with. Oh and there are exercise machines along the west side walking path (shaded side).

This park is great. There is something for everyone. There is more of a shorter walk up on the hill. There are various connecting trails throughout the park to make it as long or short as you'd like. The trails go in and out of the wooded area. Most are very well marked. On the trails there are also spots designated for extra exercises, like pull ups, sit ups, dips etc. Very interesting and pretty as well.

Great view at sunset! We love this park for a walk or run. Also, the community center is clean, family friendly, and has a small weight room!

This location is close to downtown Wake Forest is excellent, situated very close to US 1 / Capital Blvd. It features a trail and a fantastic community building that includes a gym, basketball court, and various activities for kids. The City of Wake Forest organizes Halloween and Easter egg hunts in this park, and there's ample parking available. The Town of Wake Forest also hosts outdoor movie nights for kids during the summer. It's a wonderful place for jogging or an evening stroll. Appreciation goes to those responsible for preserving and maintaining this park so well.

If you need a beautiful and quiet place for a walk, use Joyner Park. The trails weave through trees, water features, and have exercise stops along the way. There are also benches, poop bags for dogs and trashcans. There is a primitive area with structures near the pecan Grove. There is also a playground located next to the rec center. Classes and open gym are available at the center; you can even rent our space for your own needs. The best part is the amphitheater. Children enjoy dancing and playing on stage. There are also community events held there. Joyner has it all -- but you!! Check it out

Recently moved to the area and loved the concert series at the amphitheater. Tons of walking trails, greenery, clean restrooms and history!

Lots of paved trails to walk, run, or jog on. There's a small pond with fish and lots of turtles. Along the paths are some exercise equipment that makes a fun and challenging diversion from walking or running. There's lots of history on placards and plenty of wildlife to see. Very well kept and pleasant, with public restrooms that are clean and well cared for. Lots of fun for the whole family.

Place is beautiful. I walk here a lot. Lots of equipment and a fitness room with weights. Lockers, showers,Zumba. Dance Classes. Indoor, Outdoor walking tracks and not a weigh-in SCALE in the entire edifice. Seems like a small investment for a state of the art facility.

Found this gal with no leash, had puppies, had several sores on her body. Needed a nail trim badly, neglected if you ask me. Sadly her owner showed up eventually. She didn't hesitate to be with him, but...if I see her again I'm taking her in.

We had a birthday party for the girls at E. Carroll Joyner Park. The walk to the Overlook was a bit further than expected but it was a great place for the kids to run and play. The weather was wonderful and the bathrooms were very clean. Highly recommend for an outdoor event.

So many families excited to be out and about on a beautiful evening in the park! We did spend two hours there to only go on one slide and one trip through a bounce house...and parking was poorly designed...and the games lines could have been better roped off so it wasn't just a mass of people trying to figure out where to go...but many mini Spidermen got some lollipops and a trip to the playground, so all in all a success!

Atypical playground for all ages (log pile!), (4) electric charging stations, nice, short trail and some old cabins for a small exposure to history. a little bit of everything. Masx required to enter the main building (eye roll), but separate restrooms (clean!) are available not far from the playground to avoid face diapers. Overall 9/10. Great place.

This is our go to for taking a stroll. There are beautiful views everywhere and all of the trails are manageable, enough room for bikes and people. They have restrooms on site near the trails and a large rec center with a track and elliptical machines as well as a weight room. Dog friendly, people friendly and run by some really nice people. A year membership is 50 bucks but everything is pretty open to the public.

What a gift this was to the people of Wake Forest. Paved trails in the pasture and the woods. Great for children on bikes or scooters. The rec center is first class as is the playground out back. Ample parking. Get your hike on here. You will make it a habit, wonderful park.

We took advantage of the nice fall weather and explored Joyner Park. It’s a great place to bring a stroller for a run or walk. There are lots of paved trails. The kids picked up a Kid Track activity and did a scavenger hunt. They loved exploring the pecan grove and the old farm buildings. We had a picnic dinner near the amphitheater before heading out. There are bathrooms and water bottle fillers on this side of the park. We easily spent a couple hours here and didn’t even make it over to the community center.

Such a beautiful park, and so large! Great picnic spot....or place to walk the dog (just make sure you scoop the poop!).....read, etc. Nice playground area also. The community center is not very big, however. The value here is definitely the outside space.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This is a pretty circuit trail. There are some spots at the southeastern corner that are a little dicey and you need to walk a couple-hundred feet on a road to complete the loop. Most of this hike has excellent water views. ~4mi loop.
