So, I am not usually the one to leave bad reviews on places that I eat, unfortunately I feel in this case that I should. I ordered a biscuit combo with a apple fritter on the side. The biscuit was okay a little dry but manageable and the hashbrown was okay. As I was eating the fritter I broke it in half and in the center was MOLD, yes you read that correctly MOLD. I don't know how long it has been since someone had orded the apple fritter, but I didn't ask for the fritter that has been sitting in grandma's attic for a few months. I hope the quality control improves at this restaurant.

The sunrise biscuit serves fantastic and super soft biscuits and sandwiches. The one thing you need to be wary of is to eat them fresh because once they cool down the biscuits get dry. Oh yeah, the biscuits are also huge so be prepared.

Ordered a regular coffee and an egg and bacon biscuit. Coffee tasted pretty deluted and watery. Buscuit was ok. Didn't realize parking and drive-thru was a big issue here. I think there's an accident waiting to happen or it might be a regular thing. It's a very small drive thru that cars have their blinkers on the street waiting to get thru on both sides of the street. Asked the older lady at the window if she could give me cream and sugar for my coffee and she yelled, "everythings in the bags ma'am!" 🗣I was a bit stunned, they must be very overwhelmed here. They do have several signs announcing that theyre hiring all positions. Might not come back and avoid a car crash or more rudeness. I dont think a biscuit and a drink are worth it but that's just me.

Stopped by because everyone brags about how good the food is. NEVER again will I eat from here. The hotdogs were disgusting and made very sloppy like. The old lady with the freckles at the window was very rude with her nonchalant attitude. She didn't smile or say thank you. Didn't tell us to come again or nothing. We ordered drinks at the last minute but that's still no reason to show her frustration. I'd rather have hotdogs from Hardee's cause theses from sunrise were very nasty and I'd rather not deal with snoody black people such as the old lady with the freckles.

I haven’t been here in at least 15 years, so I stopped in today while I was in town. The fried chicken biscuit was just as good as I remembered — and that buttery, fluffy biscuit? Exactly what a good ‘ol southern biscuit should be! I went close to closing time, so there was no line and I was greeted with a big smile. It’s a good thing I don’t work or live close by anymore, I’d be visiting way too often!

I saw this place on the Travel Channel over five years ago and I finally tried them out. It wasn't busy (two days until Christmas). I love those biscuits and cinnamon roll!!!! I recommend the menu, everything off the menu. And the woman working the window makes it taste better when she says "enjoy."

Yum! Fantastic chicken biscuits! Homemade, fresh, so good. Take out only. Line moves pretty quickly. Just wish people would move up to help get others off the street since the line can get that long. A sign to be courteous to your neighbor could be helpful. Regardless, we definitely went back soon after our first visit and look forward to going again.

Biscuits are okay. Prices are a little high. Service is fast, but typically not very friendly. They've given me the wrong price for food before (told my order would be $17.26 and after I said that seemed high and asked for an itemized receipt, my order came out to $16.00 - not sure what happened there but I feel they've been inattentive a few times when I've been here). I go every so often when I'm craving fried chicken and always walk away feeling luke warm about the experience at best. So take that as what you will. I've been back and will likely 'give it a try' at some point in the future since there aren't any competitors serving similar food nearby, but I cannot recommend as anything beyond an okay experience.

We found this place online while waiting for a family member at the Amblutory center. We road over and looked at their menu board and once we ordered they had our food ready almost as soon as we got to the drive-through. As we were going around the building when driving in one of the cooks waved at us. The people were friendly and service was fast. I had "the Grandpa". I got coffee to drink. The coffee was decent. The hash brown was quite greasy and a little mushy so that wasn't my favorite. The biscuit was very good. The biscuit portion was fresh and had a good texture. Definitely homemade. Their was a good portion of eggs and bacon which all tasted good and the real cheddar cheese was great. The star on my biscuit was the chicken. It was breaded and had a great flavor. The spices they use were great. If I am ever around to go back I would probably just get a chicken biscuit next time. Overall I would certainly recommend this place for a quick bite for breakfast. Note they are drive-through only. This is not a sit down place.

Unbelievably amazing !!!! Oh my god you must go. Every thing is perfect. Honestly, I can’t even hype this place up enough. These are the best biscuits I’ve ever had. The cute triangle hashbrowns have the perfect crisp. Don’t hesitate, order from here !

Food was absolutely delicious. The biscuits were so so soft and the flavors were amazing. The hash browns nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I will definitely be coming back here again!

You want a southern breakfast biscuit? This is where you should go. Buttery. Crumbly. Crisp bacon. Melty cheese. Just the best.

Even though it's 'right there' it's very likely you will drive past this place on your first time visiting. I ordered the chicken sandwich & the pork sandwich. In under 10 minutes my order was ready & in that same time about 3 other vehicles had pulled up to place their order. I was not disappointed with the taste (everything was as described on the gold belly website) & the price was really worth it. I sat in my car & had my meal but it really is a drive-thru ordering type of operation. Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen appears to be quite popular with the locals & I'd definitely visit again (& likely order the same thing - the chicken sandwich was really good). If you visit during peak hour times (breakfast or lunch) it will be easier to leave turning right because the cars coming into Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen create the traffic situation that makes a right exit very easy & convenient. Don't go late, they close at 2:30 pm.

I've visited three times since working in chapel Hill and the service was ok. My first time visiting I got the chicken egg and cheese biscuit which was delicious! So big I couldn't finish. However on today wasn't so hungry so I just ordered a side of bacon. The worst bacon I've ever ate at a restaurant 😫 then when I called back the phone number isn't correct and I can't just up and leave my job to come back because of a restaurant mishaps. So money wasted. They were very thin pieces of bacon. Fried too long to where they were very crunchy and Greasy.

Food is okay, just overpriced. $7 for a sausage biscuit, a small hashbrown and a regular sized drink. The one thing that got me was that the tea I was given had obviously been sitting around for awhile in the same cup. I saw the woman at the drive thru wiping the condensation off the side and there was still some on the lid. Every time I come here my drink is room temperature and now I know why.

Love the biscuits and the “Bad Grandpa” sandwich is amazing. Bacon, egg, cheese and chicken cutlet is a match made in heaven.

We don't get to Chapel Hill often, but when we do this place is a priority stop. The biscuits couldn't get dry if you left them out for a week, so fluffy and moist. The Pork Tenderloin Biscuit is HUGE and puts my boyfriend into a food coma. The gravy is also delicious. The lady working the walk up window was a sweetheart and patient even while the place was popping. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast, ladies!!!

We saw this spot on TV and stopped on our way to the beach, loved our meal. Biscuits were warm and moist, eggs were fluffy and the cheese was flavorful. My partner got one with bacon and he loved it! Didn't care for the hash brown, it was super greasy and tasted like oil to me. Will try a different side next time. Will definitely return anytime we are in the area!

Horrible food. Biscuits were ok,but the gravy was horrible, the sausage even the bottled OJ. It's a drive through and I didn't see anywhere you could order and sit and eat. Employee I had interactions with was very nice! Food was quick. Probably won't go back though. Wasn't for me.

Hands down best biscuits in America, maybe even the world! Perfect choice for feeding hungry and also some would say the right choice for medicinal purposes as well. I will add there is spectacular competition nearby but Sunrise drive through and quick order make it hard to beat.

This place is world famous for their breakfast biscuits! I have yet to eat anything from here that was not delicious. The biscuits themselves are large, soft, and fluffy. Then any southern biscuit topping you can think of is available. They are so popular that the line of cars can run out intothe road and half way up the block. But it is worth the wait. The place is drive through only so there really is not much to say about the atmosphere.

Left feeling disappointed in what we opened our containers to reveal. If you’re looking for something cheap this is your place, but if you’re looking for a quality breakfast meal like we were, this is not for you.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had! I’ve had them from all over and am super picky about them and got them from here on Goldbelly and I ate all 8 of them within 3 days because they were so good! I wish it wasn’t so expensive to ship them because I’d be ordering them weekly if they were cheaper!👏👌

Stopped by today while traveling because of the reviews and they did not disappoint. Large tasty biscuit with egg, bacon, cheese and chicken breast. Not sure if worth over $8 but still very good. Cinnamon roll is good too!

Me and Fiancé decided to try a new place for breakfast! I am so glad we discovered this gem when we were in Chapel Hill. I got the Chicken Biscuit combo which came with a drink and a hashbrown. My fiancé ordered the bad grandpa. The hashbrown was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! It was probably one of the best hashbrowns I have had in my life. I loved the chicken biscuit, the chicken was crispy and tender, and the homemade biscuit was absolutely delicious! The bad grandpa was unique and incredible!

If you haven't been yet, you absolutely need to! Multiple visits and it's always on point and top notch. The large chicken biscuit with egg and cheese and the Large Bacon egg and cheese. Quick and it's fantastic. A must go and instant local favorite.

👍 I went with a group of 10 for lunch on a weekday. The menu is exhaustive but one person had been before and knew about the lunch special. It was around $15 after taxes. They have chicken, vegetarian, lamb, and seafood. The portions were generous. I ordered a chicken lunch special and was offered a...
