This Red Roof is good for a business traveler who needs a no frills place to stay. The rooms and lobby areas are clean, and the uncarpeted floors prevent many of those unidentifiable, frightening smells you may come across at other places. The hotel is located near Crabtree Valley Mall, so you have a number of options for dining, and shopping if you have to pick up a guilt gift for your children or sig. other. Check in was quick and easy, the front desk people were nice. The location can be tricky to find because the street is right after a gas station and next major highway entrances. So pay attention and don’t make an illegal u-turn. And don’t complain about the traffic - it’s just a thing and it exists just about everywhere.

Check-in time was set for at 3 pm, but upon arrival after the designated time and assignment to a room, the room was completely filthy with trash everywhere and a foul odor. We walked by several rooms still being cleaned by the housekeepers, indicating they were also not finished. We were assigned to that room because it was the only one available. Since the room was not in a livable condition, we asked for a refund. However, the receptionist made excuses as to why he cannot refund and if we proceed with the cancellation, it will be considered a "same day cancellation" with us being charged a day. In his words, the housekeepers failed to let him know the room was unfinished but the computer system had a "finished" status. He continued to insist that they had rooms available so refunding is impossible. We walked by the re-assigned room, which was still being cleaned, on the way to our assigned room. The re-assigned room was only finished while we were talking to him at the front desk, indicating the housekeepers had to rush their current cleaning to make it available. This gave him the excuse that rooms were still available. Our expectations were the room should have been finished cleaning by check-in time, and if the rooms were not available at our scheduled check-in time, Red Roof Inn would admit to their mistake, take responsibility, and give a full refund when requested. Poor staff service rating only because we had poor experience with the receptionist, but the housekeepers did their best at cleaning. Misleading online photos. There were no lights on in the lobby. Musty and moldy smell throughout the hallways. Landscaping is horrible with overgrown weeds and unkepted shrubs. Bed frame was loose and made a lot of sound even with small movements.

Clean, friendly, great location. The only thing I can complain about is the mattress was a little too hard and after a few nights my back started to hurt. But maid service was impeccable, staff were friendly and nice to talk to, I would definitely recommend, great value! Also, I arrived early but my room was still ready. Check in only took a few minutes, check out mere seconds.

First and foremost, the staff at this location were not friendly or welcome at all! We had left after checking in and came back in the night after checking in, we laid down and noticed that we were itching. Come to find out the beds had stains and were dirty and the big shock was it had BED BUGS! i went to tell the front desk and her exact words were “it’s not my hotel, there is nothing I can do about it.” Very unprofessional and rude! After checking out I showed pictures and a video of the bug moving in the sheets and the guy said “ thanks for letting me know” and that was IT!!!!! Also if cars decided to take up two spaces that’s ok because the staff tell you to park on the street but if your car gets damaged or broken into then it’s your responsibility. As I said above it is a very unprofessional establishment.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was super helpful and friendly. But there was no elevator so if stairs are a problem for you, you may want to get a room on the first floor.

There is no elevator here, so if you are handicapped, get a guarantee for a ground floor room. It was nice for the price.

When we first arrived, i thought we made a great mistake since there's a wayyy better place right in front of this place. Went in, got checked in, and inspected the beds/towels. No issue there. The smell in the hall is odd but nothing bad for a 10 second walk to your room. The only reason why it wouldnt be a 5 star is that the noise from the A/C unit is out of this world. It feels like a tractor is in your room but speakinf in alien language. It's loud and weird

Location was great, but roach in the room and kinda dirty in places. Front desk wasn't even around and had to wait to even have anyone see I was there to check in. When I checked out, there was nobody even there. Maybe I'll try again next year during my meeting time and see.

This is a very basic zero frills hotel. Overall the room was clean but very small. Not even enough room for a dog crate. The main reason for my low rating is the property upkeep is horrible. The grounds around the hotel are covered in trash and dog waste. Had a hard time walking my dog to find a clean spot. The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking but the hallway smelled of cigarettes and marijuana the entire stay. I would not stay here as a family with kids.

Do not stay here! I stayed 2 nights in Sept and found the room adequate for the money, despite lots of unsavory characters hanging around outside drinking, arguing and swearing. However, 2 weeks later a mysterious charge of $7 appeared on the credit card I used (which I hadn't used in more than 6 months) and 2 days later another charge of $58, both from some online music collection. I absolutely did not make these purchases and contacted my credit card company who immediately canceled that card and sent me a new one. I contacted Red Roof Inn corporate office to let them know as obviously the information was stolen there. They replied there was nothing they could do. I wasn't expecting any compensation from them, merely wanted them to know they have a dishonest person or persons working there, but they couldn't care less. I thought it odd when checking in that the desk person needed to see my card when I used the card reader but was tired and in a hurry and just gave it to him. I'll never stay at a Red Roof Inn again.

Now this was a toss up on rating this place. The initial room we were given was absolute trash. That's what the video and pics are of the first room. This room was outside and not as protected as the rooms inside. If you plan on shady dealings maybe an outside room would suit your needs.. I complained I didn't feel comfortable with the room because we have children and there are different acces points to the rooms outside. They moved us to a room inside the building and it improved our stay by 80%+ . Front desk man "Mr. I" was phenomenal. Any request we made he saw fit to accommodate(All within reason). Made extending our stay as easy as 1-2-3. Housekeeping stopped in everyday fresh towels and wash clothes.

Front desk lady was rude when we checked in. Dogs aren’t allowed to be left unattended in rooms (wouldn’t have booked the hotel if I had know this.) I’ve stayed at this hotel before and that wasn’t a thing. Also woke up with bites all over my leg and now my dog has fleas.

We stayed during Raleigh Galaxycon and it was a convenient location. Service was nice, but when we left my grandson left $100 Legos in the room cabinet....we call before they cleaned the room and asked them to hold them. We live 2 1/2 hours away and easy to drive by. I called the next day and no one knew anything...he said they might have thrown them away....Right!!! They hadn't cleaned the room yet when I called and now they are saying no one knows anything....I wonder who took them home!!! They stole them....we never got any calls or info back from them! Sonic Legos gone!!! I will never stay where our local red roof steals!!!

I have never in my life had such a fowl and disgusting attitude from Customer Service working the front desk on the night of October 4, 202I than I have had the pleasure of experiencing tonight. While working in this position one would think that she would be more desirable to deal with being your behavior reflects and is the present expression of the company Red Roof Inn as a whole! Given the portrayal of this company, represented by this certain employee working tonight is enough alone to NEVER step foot in this hotel again as long I'm breathing. It's a real shame that in today's society that rational customer service is a dying breed and a thing of the past. Is this what I've fought for this Country for, is the right to treat your fellow human being worse than the gum on the bottom your shoe, I think not. Just to the simple fact that I have taken the time to express my views with so many words should be enough evidence of how disappointed I am having to stay the night here due to the simple fact that I had already reserved the room andI am utterly disappointed! Bottom line if you don't like your job, QUIT!

We checked in late and the lady at the desk was nice and friendly. And the room was clean BUT the room was so humid and smelling so moldy, it was very stuffy we had trouble breathing the whole night and after we checked out we both had post nasal drip for hours! I’m glad we didn’t get sick there. If you’re gonna stay here you should definitely try to change your room if it’s musty and humid like ours was. Doesn’t worth to put your health at risk… that’s why I’m giving it 2 stars…

The room was very clean and so was the bathroom friendly front desk ,they're also pet friendly and breakfast available too, not bad for the price and location. Also I'd like to acknowledge James the front desk clerk for his friendly, positive and professional attitude. At a time when its hard to find dedicated people to provide excellent customer service it is truly appreciated! Thanks James!!

This hotel is placed in a great location they just need major major renovations. And definitely need to throw a elevator in their somewhere as well. Interaction with staff was pleasant but my room itself was not appealing at all. Two guest one wash cloth 👀🤨 ceiling cracked peeling and water damage. Uneven flooring. The loudest little refrigerator ever. Tear the building down
