I am Whole Food Plant Based and was shocked and appreciative to learn that none of their food is processed, all made in house and soy free! Lord, we hit the jackpot with this restaurant. The food is seasoned to perfection!! Plentiful and priced well!! I went with two meat eaters and they had no clue the food was vegan and requested we go back! The yeero tasted like and authentic lamb gyro! The texture was to die for and I can't stress how well seasoned everything was! So so flavorful!! Fresh and just down right amazing food. And boy, that Baklava will having you ordering two at a time! Top tier high quality food, take the entire family, meat eaters included! Oh, the Mac and cheese! I don't know how it was so creamy and cheesy! DELICIOUS!!

I got takeout with my dad and remembered the last time I did, the kitchen burger was fantastic! I got it again and it was very flavorful. While the texture and taste aren’t like meat, the food is still delicious. My dad got a turkey gyro (pictured). My kitchen burger is phenomenal, just a little messy. Delicious and filling!

BEST VEGAN FOOD EVER! The owners are super sweet, so much delicious food to choose from. The owner shared that they prepare the seitan in house, it all had so much flavor, and surprisingly the burger had all the qualities of a really good burger! My wife said the onion rings (not pictured, we devoured them immediately) were the best she's ever had. Prices are reasonable for a vegan place, and it was very quiet, as in not much foot traffic. Felt like such a special experience eating their amazing food!

So friendly!! We've been looking for a vegetarian/vegan restaurant and this is our new favorite. The portion sizes were really big---you definitely feel like you're getting your money's worth. So clean and welcoming, but the best part is how delicious this food was! So many menu options, even my meat-loving friends found well seasoned alternatives. I'll certainly be going back to try more.

I've been ordering from Vegan Community Kitchen for years now, have tried almost every item on their menu, and am constantly blown away at how amazing everything tastes. The quality is consistently high, with huge serving sizes, and clear attention to detail. This is a beacon of delicious vegan food (which is sorely lacking in the Cary/Apex area). I can't recommend this place enough.

A hard to find vegan restaurant with the friendliest staff! Lots of options on the menu, portions are large and prices are really fair. I highly recommend!

This was my first time here and absolutely loved it. Atmosphere was great, was waited on immediately and the food was served promptly after ordering. Had the Hibiscus tea and loved it, it had a hint of cinnamon and clove in it and tasted great. Ordered the Taste of Ethiopia and it was wonderful, the injera was very light and fluffy for a type of sourdough bread. If you are looking for a great vegan restaurant, this is the place. Will definitely be going back.

I am a meat and potatoes guy. My wife has asked me to eat better. Sssoooooo, I stopped in and I was astonished! I ordered for my pescitarian wife, kids, and myself. The kitchen cheeseburger is amazing! I couldn't eat it all. This is larger than a Whopper! The ISKENDER KEBAB is delicious. Authentic yeero and crunch wrap were eaten by the kids with ZERO complaints. I don't think they knew it was vegan. As a meat eater, my mind is blown away at how tasteful and delicious the food is. Now lets talk about portion sizes. The portions have SO much food! I will continue to come back again and again!

We stopped in and tried several dishes. We tried hummus with pita, cheese burger, spanakopita, Mac Lahmacun Wrap and hibiscus tea. Everything was amazing. I had to order 2 exta pitas to take home with the leftover hummus. And who can leave without baklava. Loved Everything. Worth the hour and a half drive. 👌 will definitely be back.

The best vegan restaurant I’ve had since being in Raleigh. I enjoying coming to Vegan Community Kitchen. They are very welcoming. The food is DELICIOUS!!! My recommendations so far, falafel, hummus and pita bread, Mac and cheese, kabobs, cheeseburger. The hibiscus tea is amazing and the desserts! A must visit.

Holy cow!!!! The Yeero and baklava was absolutely amazing, and my boyfriend got the falafel wrap and loved every bite. The new owner was so kind and attentive. Definitely becoming new regulars, especially with such reasonable prices for great vegan food in huge portions!!

First - I am not a vegan. I am just trying to cut back on meats. Having a vegan/vegetarian meal, it is utmost concern that it tastes good and is filling. Vegan Community Kitchen has an excellent variety and a lot to entertain your palate. There are meat substitutes for those that still want the "meat" feel in their meal. I am not a fan of trying to find meat subs, but rather trying to find an enjoyment of the variety available in vegetable based menus. The Lahmajun Wrap is a large thin flat bread that is spread with some spices like chili and paprika and baked to a VERY crisp texture and folded around a filling. My choice was filled with lettuce, tomato, onions and tzatziki sauce. Very generous portion and very filling. Having this with the sweet potato fries was more than I could handle. Had to save some for lunch for tomorrow. The Baklava was also a delicious, fresh, home-made treat. Again, generously portioned and delectable. The atmosphere is nice and simple and it is nice that everyone comes out to check on you. They demonstrate a passion for their cuisine and were a pleasure to dine with.

This place is amazing and truly a model for quick and casual vegan restaurants. Affordable with great portions, delicious handmade ingredients, and an incredible variety of food. I know a lot of omnivores that would like it too. Even if you don't think you'd like the seitan (meat replacement) you can get some really good entrees without it like the falafel or lasagna.

I had their hibiscus tea (not too sweet!), samosa with sweet potato and lentils, Thanksgiving style ’taco’ with stuffing, cranberry, mashed potato (essentially Thanksgiving meal in a single bite), and collard greens falafel with hummus and stuffed grape leaves. Everything felt very fresh and delicious! Vegan/vegetarian food can be delicious, but not everyone, unfortunately, can craft that. I loved our first experience here and will undoubtedly be back! ❤️

Best Seitan I’ve eaten in a long time! Food was so good I had to order a side of Seitan to go. New favorite vegan food spot.

I absolutely love this place. They are always adding awesome options to their menu and the stay is beyond friendly. Best of all they do not use any soy in their food.

Ordered the cheeseburger to go. Asked for no tomato but it had 3 huge slices on it. Mistakes happen, though. Overall the food was delicious and flavorful. I loved the vegan cheese (very melty!) and I don't know what they do to the burger buns but mine was soooo good! Customer service was excellent, extremely friendly. Traveling for work and found this place because I'm dairy-free. Definitely recommend. 👍🏻

Absolutely phenomenal. I came to see how the “best vegan burger in the triangle” held up and wow did it impress. Unlike most that use the impossible burger this was homemade and blew my mind. The family ran Kitchen was so friendly, the specials for that upcoming week looked so delicious. Can’t wait to be back.

Best Vegan food I’ve had in my life. The flavor is there, the portions are generous, and the staff is delightful. Definitely wish we had one in Durham.

First visit, and I'm in love! Had the turkey yerro & it was yummy; especially when I put the cranberry sauce in the yerro. Also, it was ginormous...like save some for later size. Also, the hibiscus tea is delicious; so smooth and a perfect amount of sweetness! I want to go back and buy a jug of it!

The burger they had tasted great as a vegan alternative, but they put almost the entirety of the onion and tomato on one side... one half was a huge chunk of the patty, and the other half was a massive blob of the veggies (and all the ketchup). Server was very nice!

Unpretentious and excellent vegan food We tried the Ethiopian plate and falafel plate along with samosas and spinach spanakopita. All were great. We took leftovers home and made another meal out of it the next day.

Extensive and creative selection of vegan options. Got the munchie platter, which was easily almost ten pounds and came with pita and multiple sauces on the side. The vegan gyro meat had a great flavor and texture. Vegetables were fresh. The hibiscus tea was also strong and tasty! Service was friendly and kind. Will be back to try more of the menu.

If you want to see a nice combination of quantity and quality, please come here. Their food is delicious and in very fair quantity that will fill you up. Vegan Community Kitchen is awesome and great when it comes to vegan food but be aware that over eating is going to happen. Food is mouth-watering and tasty.

Delicious food, amazing staff! Best vegan options in Apex. Seriously cannot beat the portion sizes here.

Their food is amazing - I'm especially in love with the gyro. The portions are really big so you get more than one meal out of it, which is nice. I've tried a lot of things off the menu and none of them disappoint. Highly recommend eating here whether you're vegan or not!

High quality fresh vegan meal with seemingly well balanced natural ingredients. Great variety of cuisines, rarely available elsewhere. We loved everything we ordered. Keep in mind it’s not very spicy and the portions are fairly large.

The food is delicious and the portions are HUGE. My boyfriend always enjoys the food here and he's basically a carnivore, so that's a huge compliment!

Had a fantastic takeout experience. We ordered 2 different dishes and both were delicious - burger & lasagna. Great people, great food, and very good prices. Everything was fresh & high quality. We will definitely be going back as regulars & to enjoy new flavors on the menu!

So yummy! Highly recommend the mac & cheese - you know a dish is great when even the cold leftovers are delicious! Had a little bit of a mix up with the order, so I'd recommend making sure to check your bag(s) before leaving with your food. That being said, they were so accommodating when I emailed them about the mix up. Highly appreciated! Will definitely eat here again when I'm back in the area.

We were heading from from a trip to Raleigh and decided to stop by to try it out. It was such an amazing surprise. They were closed so we ordered on their website and they brought the food to our car. The food was delicious, in bigger portions than I expected which was awesome because we were quite hungry. The guy who served us was very friendly and nice. He gave water to my puppy that was waiting in the car with us because it was super hot and our ac wasn’t working well. We will definitely come back and I highly recommend you try their food!

Lots of vegan options ranging from American classics to basic Mediterranean foods. I never thought I'd have baklava again as a vegan, so that alone will bring my back. As of now (entering fall 2021), they even have options such as lasagne and holiday falafel (pumpkin). We found the place while searching for burgers, so... not too adventurous the first go 'round. Their house made vegan burgers were quite tasty, but a little too much like a loaf. The flavor was perfect but the texture was a bit odd. Not off putting, but not anything to write home about. You can tell they used quality ingredients though. They had HUGE slices of perfectly ripened tomatoes on our burgers, and their crinkle fries were still perfectly golden and crisp even after the drive home. The vegan cheese was melted just right and they made sure to have vegan buttered and toasted buns. They pay great attention to detail and quality, and it's evident in their product. I imagine we'll be back on our next visit to Cary.
