I joined this club because this was the only fitness club in a reasonable distance from my home even though the membership fee was outrageous, $75 per month. However, after few months, I decided to quit, and joined another club with a fair price. It is 15 min drive for me, but I get the value I actually pay for now. The facility is not up to par for that premium membership fee. The variety of workout equipments is just not there. The space is not big enough. There are no special amenities that justify the price. The owner is just greedy. They should cut the membership fee in half. That would be a fair price for this club. YMCA is nearby. Their facility is better and its membership fee is lower than UNC's

I was planning to switch recently from YMCA to UNC but dropped the plan. Note - I am individual member and have no interest in promoting any of the gyms - I am here to save my costs and get value of my spending. Why UNC wellness membership costs you 74$ as compared to 52$ for YMCA? Most of programs and benefits are same, so what is so special about UNC? I could observe old/stale equipment's in UNC on open tour. Folks - try to make your membership cost realistic for mass to afford and just stop targeting the niche with deep pockets. You doing no benefit to most of your community.

Way overpriced for the experience you get. I pay $70 a month for limited weight equipment, staff that are not particularly helpful or personal able (except for the one guy that’s always emptying the trash cans…he’s super friendly), limited group exercise options, and programming tag is targeted only to kids or the elderly. If you’re 18-50, save your money and look elsewhere.

Terrible gym...don't waste your time. Very expensive membership. Staff is just checking boxes. Lot of favoritism and older "regulars" that are friends of the staff that get special treatment. On a few occasions, it seems they see something they don't like (not against the rules) and they seem to sort of bully customers. Showers, sauna and the whirlpool are disgusting. The pool looks like it has feces on the bottom.

I am a current member of this gym and the only reason I am still a member is because of the proximity to my house, that is about the only good thing I have to say about this facility. The Bad: They just did a re-organization of their stale outdated equipment, and it could not be worse or more bizarre it really is frustrating that no one knows how to run a gym in the area. If I could give it negative stars for the equipment I would. Lastly, the number of teenagers using the equipment improperly is really disturbing along with them sitting on the equipment not using it and looking at here phones. Last week I saw two young teenagers making out in the facility this is what this facility has turned into and with the amount of money they charge for membership you would think they would have top of the line equipment, not even close! Disappointing Frustrating and Sad, these are the words to describe this gym/facility!

DON'T GO!!! There is no personal privacy and respect. They can use their key to unlock the family locker room anytime they want, regardless of whether you're using the toilet or changing your clothes. It is not a safe and comfortable environment for all patrons. Wish I can give a negative star.

Amazing facility. Very clean and equipments are well cleaned and well maintained. The gym and workout areas are super hygine. The bathrooms mess up sometimes but they regular clean it as well. Bring your own flip-flops to wear it inside bath rooms. Private coaching available but a bit expensive. Free classes are a.ple enough for you to be fit and maintain good health. Boot camps is a great choice to get started with the day.

1 star for the teenagers gathered at equipment 24/7 socializing. I thought the YMCA nearby was bad but this gym is the same.

Great Gym for the locality. Contrary to some of the reviews, I found equipments well maintained in alignment with nationwide chains. There may be more teenagers, though could be a sign of young and healthy Community overall. Pros: Pleasant staff Rock climbing Swimm pool Cons: Only found in some of previous reviews.

Staff is usually friendly and the facility is always clean. And I love how they have so many different types of equipment to use. The pool feels so good on hot days and the hot tub feels even better when you have a sore back

A very nice facility and all the equipment is well cared for and in working order in my experience. Indoor pool and track, plenty of cardio and weight machines, decent free weight area (not huge, but haven't run into any problems with it being crowded or waiting on equipment so far), and some individual training areas on the second floor with various weights, balls, mats, etc. I haven't used either, but there is also a climbing wall and massage services available onsite as well. The facility is clean, and there are plenty of sanitary stations around to clean equipment easily before and after use. Staff has been very kind and helpful in both general information and in instructor lead classes. Their website hosts an event calendar showing all the free member group exercise classes available (as well as more educational classes ranging from health education, Nutrition, and recovery specific clinics). I personally find the location convenient, and there is plenty of parking outside the facility. I've gone at a few different times during the week both around lunch and after work, and have not found it to be too crowded at any point. If it's important to you, on the whole a good mix of people going there across the spectrum of age, gender, and athletic ability, atmosphere is very judgment free so no worries on "being the odd one out". On the more expensive end of membership rates. $76 a month, with no long term contract, no enrollment fee, and can cancel at anytime. You also get 6 free 1 day guest passes a year. Membership comes with a free fitness evaluation with a certified trainer and 30min consultion with a registered dietician, also gives you access to the UNC Meadowmont facility in Chapel Hill. Their website does a good job of highlighting the facility features and amenities, and membership rates and benefits. Overall I have been very happy using this facility and recommend checking it out in person if you are interested to get a good feel for it yourself prior to joining, as enrollment is all done online.
