We loved everything about this place. We were welcomed so warmly and followed with a glass of sparkling wine - a fantastic way to start, I'd say! They offered such interesting combinations of flavors, that it was difficult to choose our dishes, but we were up to the task! 😄 The food and the service were top notch. My friend had the octopus and sweet potato mash and described it as "exceptional". Each of the 3 of us enjoyed appetizers, a main course and a dessert and I don't think one crumb was left behind. We will most certainly be returning.

Thank you Chef Ivan and the entire team for celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary with an amazing journey of food and wine two nights in a row! If we could have come a third time we would have. Each dish on and off the menu was a work of art, combining different textures and flavours. Combining them with green wine pairings was spectacular. Thank you for an amazing two evenings and we look forward to seeing you again.

We celebrated our anniversary there in June. Had the best experience both culinary and service-wise. Daniela was so lovely and made our night❤️ Can’t recommend it enough! The prices was absolutely worth it. Will definitely come back.

Great restaurant, every dish we had was superbly executed. The staff was super friendly and actually helped accommodate with adopting a dish to vegetarian. The chocolate cake was so amazing we actually ordered a second one. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service from Katia, she was lovely! The food was incredible, the ambience really special. Make sure you get a booking before coming. Didn’t get to try desserts as we were running short on time but they looked incredible. Not many vegetarian options (only one in the mains and 2 in starters) but the ones I tried were delicious. Apparently the octopus was incredible. Super recommend this gem.

Seriously good food with equally matched service. Rarely do you find a place with perfect execution and CDJ is one such example. Everything from the flamboyant ingredient pairings to perfectly balanced sauces left you wanting for more. Highly recommend!

Excellent address in Lisbon. Have been there 5 times over the last 3 years. Always a delight. Friendly staff. Amazing outdoor place. The perfect spot to spend quality time with friends or partner eating high quality food and drinking good wine. Food is served in reasonable quantity and pricing has the perfect price/quality ratio. I recommend.

The best restaurant in Portugal! My husband and I spent a week in this lovely country trying all the delicious food. The Clubs de Jornalistas has no comparison. The quality of food, ambiance, wine recommend and service was all equally excellent. I highly recommend the seared Salmon. Fresh, perfectly seasoned and prepared. The chocolate soup with passion fruit mouse was unique, light and so tasty. My husband had Pork risotto with asparagus he was very happy with his meal and would also highly recommend this choice.

Love this place. First of all, the service is excellent! All the employees are friendly and try to host you as good as possible. The atmosphere and design is just wow, so authentic and unique! Also they have an amazing garden. As for food I tried risotto with gambas and mango was delicious and interesting mix tastes. Also, a dessert from egg and bacon pudding you would wonder if it is good? It was delicious! Price wise is a bit expensive, but worth every penny.

Impeccable service (discrete, polite and efficient), in a unique beautiful building with a perfect outside space, calm and relax, ideal for the summer days. The food is rather innovative and overall good. Recommended!

Lovely restaurant with space divided by different rooms. I dined in the main room. I had the roasted eggplant as an appetizer and the prawn risotto as main course. The risotto was outstanding, I highly recommend it. As a glass of wine, they served me an excellent local Chardonnay. The total cost was 39 euros. They gifted me a shopping bag (thank you!). Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Herrlich! Dankedankedanke!

Amazing meal, perfect for a romantic dinner. All dishes tasted so unique and the presentation was great. The wine was some of the nicest I’ve had and the setting is also lovely. A wonderful dining experience overall.

One of the neatest and most enjoyable dining experiences Ive ever had. The ambiance and food were incredible. Highlights were the black pork neck and shrimp risotto. Service was also on point- I really appreciate that they offered to split our meals when they heard we were planning to share all the dishes.

Inattentive service, mediocre wine, lacking atmosphere. Food tried hard, but generally missed the mark. Not bad if you’re in the area but really not worth venturing out of town or making a trip.

First things first: We enjoyed a fantastic evening with great, extraordinary food & a super caring and friendly service. We really appreciated the attention to detail such as an aperitif, a menu in an envelope and a small farewell gift in the end (No spoiler!). Definitely, a recommendation if you want to spend a nice evening in a casual yet chic environment. All the best from Germany

We enjoined spending our evening here. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. All the food and drinks were very interesting. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy. I felt like I dived into The Rum Diary novel by Hunter Thompson. I can definitely recommend the place.

Good quality meal in a nice setting. We went for dinner on a Saturday night and were seated in the garden area. It was getting chilly and we were kindly offered blankets which kept us warm for the rest of the night. The menu has a good variety so would suit most people. We had the ceviche and the caramelised eggplant for starter and the octopus with sweet potato purée for mains. All dishes were good. The octopus was soft and appropriately seasoned (not too salty). For me the highlight of the dinner were the desserts. I recommend trying their ice creams which I think are made on the site. I tried a mix of three varieties - and particularly enjoyed the eucalyptus one and the cheese one (yes, it tasted like cheese but sweet, yummy). Be warned that the scoop size is quite big. The bread and butter were also nice and we were told it is made on the site. The staff were friendly and helpful in answering questions. At some point we had to change tables because a rowdy 10+ people table next to us didnt want to take their seats and instead were hanging around. At the point when I almost had someone’s bag in my plate i lost my nerve and asked to be moved. The staff kindly moved us. All in all a lovely dinner. Will be back when next in Lisbon.

Really nice place and the waitress was super nice and fun. Why only 3 stars? The food was disappointing. It ranged from good but nothing special and for that too expensive, to really bad. The cod fish - that was presented us as a house speciality - was impossible to eat. Dry but almost raw at the same time, weird taste, side dishes had no taste. In my opinion this is a bit of a overly hyped place. It‘s unfortunate since it‘s beautiful and people are so friendly. But kitchen needs to keep up. Also the combination of dishes and ingredients didn‘t make sense to me. Somewhat fusion and international but not round at all.

Twice we have brought out of town guests to this restaurant and twice we have absolutely stunned our guests. The modern take on classic Portuguese food had all of us raving about our meals. The dessert ice cream varieties are very unique. The ambiance is lovely (have sat both inside and outside). Service is also excellent. Highly recommend.

Second time visiting. Second time leaving with a memorable meal. An assault on the tastebuds which is well worth the trip. Reasonably priced meal for the quality of food, unique menu and great service.

This restaurant is incredible. Very nice and welcoming atmosphere, very friendly and competent personnel and very good food. Our waitress was very attentive without being intrusive. She had very good input on the wine selection and helped making this evening perfect to us. Our food was cooked on point and the taste was very well balanced. All in all we can recommend this restaurant without reservation, especially considering the incredible value for money. Very much looking forward to to visit this place again, when we come back to Lisbon.

What an extraordinary place! We ate here on our last night in Lisbon and it was magical. It was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. The outdoor terrasse is so beautiful (but the indoor rooms also have such a cool ambiance). Staff was just perfect (our server was training a new person and she presented this both professionally and with a sense of humour which we really appreciated). Our server was super knowledgeable about the dishes and explained things well. Pace was good. We loved everything we ordered. It was the perfect end to our vacation - thank you to the whole team!

Wonderful experience, the location is awesome, in a quiet area without the caos of the tourists, there's a garden inside which is perfect during summer. All the dishes we tasted were amazing, starting from the appetizers (veal carpaccio and pumpink soup), to the main dishes (gnocchi with mushrooms and orange zest, and the roasted black pork), till the final desserts! And most of all, the staff was so friendly and kind, the girl who served us gived us a lot of pieces of advice. We definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful and quiet courtyard (very hard to find in Lisbon). Creative and high quality food and lovely service! Definitely more of a special occasion spot and I wouldn’t come to dine inside but this is perfect on a warm night!

It's been the second time we've been here for dinner and we are amazed by this place. The food is extraordinary, the service super nice and helpful and the garden where we were sitting is beautiful. We can highly recommend the 'petit tour' with six delicious courses taking you through the Portuguese cuisine (with a touch of brasil since the chef is brasilian) and accompanying wines that perfectly fit to the dishes. Whenever we're in Lisbon we'll come back here to enjoy a perfect evening!

Cozy classy exclusive peaceful hidden gem in the heart of Lapa. Dining under the foliage of mature trees with lovely fairy lights just magical! Staff very friendly and super helpful. Own made wine not to miss with in-house wine producer sommelier to talk you through their different varietals exclusive to this restaurant. Went for a la carte instead of set menu. Aubergine miso starter, Risotto and Cachaço de porco preto superb, a feast of flavours. Chocolatey desserts do not disappoint especially Sopa with mousse de daiquiri maracujá only to be topped up by a lovely chat with humble Chef Ivan who made us feel very special and at home. Overall a very recommendable unique experience. If in Lisbon do not miss the opportunity of visiting the Clube de jornalistas!!!
