The Palace of the High Courier of Loures is a palatial residence in the civil parish of Loures, in the municipality of the same name in the periphery of the Portuguese capital of Lisbon. The imposing Baroque-era residence, is a "U"-shaped layout, consisting of courtyard leading to staircase and two-storey building decorated in azulejos, stucco artistic works and paintings, that was once home to the Counts and Marquesses of Penafiel.

Private property. Beautiful palace and park under renovation. Looks like 18th or early 19th century. Was chased away by a gatekeeper after wandering into the courtyard, not violently though.

Both road entrances have a barrier across them and the website is not functioning

Amazing place!

We had the pleasure of attending a wedding at the Palace of Correio Mor, and it was a delightful event. While we were unfortunately not allowed to see the interior, the garden truly impressed us with its beauty. The building's architecture is amazing, although it did show some signs of wear and tear. Being conveniently close to Lisbon is a definite plus. Overall, it was a lovely experience, but we wish we could have explored more of the interior.
