Terrible
customer
experience.
The
worst
ever.
Atrocious!
I
purchased
2
water
heaters/
boilers
from
Leroy
Merlin.
Both
were
professionally
installed.
One
boiler
worked.
The
other
did
not.
Yesterday
I
drove
2+
hours
from
Porto
Côvo
to
Loulé
to
exchange
the
non-working
boiler
for
one
that
functions.
After
waiting
in
a
long
line,
I
was
informed
that
I
needed
to
have
a
technician
come
to
my
home
in
rural
Porto
Côvo
to
assess
and
repair
my
brand
new
boiler.
In
other
words,
I
pay
for
a
brand
new
product
and
then
get
it
repaired
-
which
means
I
continue
using
an
otherwise
defective
electrical
product
in
my
home
when
I
deliberately
purchased
a
new,
working
product.
I
am
totally
inconvenienced
by:
1.
No
hot
water
because
it's
broken.
2.
I
have
to
get
help
from
a
manufacturer
that
I
have
no
relationship
with
and
they
have
no
motivation
to
help
me
whatsoever.
3.
It
cost
me
5
hours
+
€50
to
drive
to
Loulé
and
back
(with
tolls
+
gas)
for
a
broken
product
with
no
help
or
support.
In
fact,
I
was
told
that
it's
"my
problem"
not
Leroy
Merlin's!!!
4.
I
received
NO
INFORMATION
WHATSOEVER
on
how
to
contact
the
technician
I'm
supposed
to
have
come
repair
the
boiler.
5.
Who
is
paying
for
this
technician?
I'm
already
out
€200
with
the
price
of
a
broken
boiler
+
driving
to
the
Algarve.
Bottom
line:
I
am
totally
and
completely
screwed
over
by
Leroy
Merlin
and
their
inane
policy.
They
have
the
relationship
with
the
manufacturer.
They
need
to
manage
the
quality
control
of
the
products
they
receive.
As
an
individual
I
have
no
clout,
no
control,
and
no
influence
-
just
a
broken,
useless
boiler
-
and
I've
lost
€200
+
what
I
paid
a
plumber
and
many
hours
of
my
time.
Absolutely
awful
experience.
I
would
give
0
stars
if
it
were
an
option.
