POI on the way to Rameshwaram. Stunning view of sea all around. Parking is not allowed on the bridge side but many of them parking haphazardly. Drive cautiously while in the bridge. The view from the bridge is stunning. Wear a cap or hat while on a sunny day.

Pamban Bridge is a construction marvel. The views are really nice. The railway line runs alongside the bridge. There is no parking area still everyone parks by the side and get off to sightseeing. The road authority should mark and provide designated parking spots.

It's a lovely experience to walk along the 4 km long IG bridge linking Rameswaram island with the Indian mainland. It is built at a much higher level than the Pamban rail bridge, at that point, to allow small ships to cross over underneath, whereas Pamban Bridge has a provision to lift the two cantilever sections like the London Tower Bridge.

Loved the architecture of this bridge. You may find 1 new railway bridge under- construction beside Pamban bridge. Also do not forget to spot the remains of the sunken bridge that existed during ancient period. You will love seeing Bay of Bengal on one side and Andamn sea on the other side.

The 2.2 km. length bridge connecting the Rameswaram Island and the mainland is the longest bridge in India constructed over a bay. It is also called as Pamban Bridge. Similarly the railway SCISSORS bridge connecting the island is noted for its unique opening to pass the ships through the sea.

Lovely place for scenary and super sea view. However it is recommended to visit during less sunny days else this is too hot. No Parking in bridge (Police will be in patrol) but people still park the car for a view. And for nature lovers, you can find wide variety of Eagle "brahminy kite", formerly known as the red-backed sea-eagle.

It is first Sea Bridge of India and Second longest (first until 2010) sea bridge in India. Train Travel over the sea is the top notch attraction of this place. You can travel through Boat Mail express (daily) or Rameshwaram - Tirupati Express (thrice a week) in day time and in Sethu SF Express during night time over the bridge. A new railway bridge is under construction.

Ohh this is among oldest bridges. This is around 125 yeard old and only so gle line without railings on the side. This looks so scary and it is actually in real too. Kids are advised to stay away from doors. Do not take any thing out of window. If it falls it will never come back. See water has strong under water current and flows at high speed.

The view of the ocean and railway bridge is really nice. If you are coming by vehicle, there is no way but to park your vehicle in the middle of the road. This might cause inconvenience to other people, so please be mindful of when and where you park.

Nice, clean beach. It is good to spend some time if it's not too hot. Very close to the Pamban Bridge, there is a nominal Rs.20 parking fee, a small snacks counter. It can be visited from Rameshwaram to Madurai, just after crossing the road bridge connecting Rameshwaram to rest of Tamil Nadu

It is a railway bridge which connects the town of mandapam in mainland India with Pamban island and Rameshwaram It was the first sea bridge and was the longest sea bridge in India until the opening of the Bandra-world sea link. This 2.345 km long bridge took close to 14 years to completed.

We drove to the fishing boat jetty known as Pamban Beach and had wonderful views of the Pamban Bridge. The Sunset threw an array of colours covering the entire span of the bridge. You get to see the Pamban Bridge for regular traffic, the railway bridge and the newly constructed railway bridge with the last phase to be completed.

One of the best places to get the view of the mighty Pamban bridge. But it’s not as beach as such. No maintenance as well. It’s just like a place for fishing for the localities. While going here is worth it, do not have high expectations

The view of the beach and the light house with all’s the boats looks beautiful. We walked on the bridge In the 3pm sun in summer of March but was worth every step taken. Please carry a lot of water and stay hydrated while at Rameshwaram. Be careful and don’t stand on the road as traffic is quite high. Enjoy the beauty and go back with memories of a lifetime. It all starts with our country. See our country first. Keep the place clean and plastic free 🙏

    (Translated by Google) I longed for many days and got the first chance to see it on 9/11/2020 ... But the opportunity to cross the bridge by train is still not fulfilled .... because the train was delayed due to a minor accident on the bridge that day (Original)
