A very neat place to stay in the travel break. Star hotel amenities in low budget. Very neatly maintained. Rs 60 per hour is very nominal for a/c lounge. Food is of very good quality, and that too in nominal price. Very friendly staff, didn't expect such hospitality in a railway station. Very good .

It is one of the most pathetically managed #IRCTC lounges I have ever seen and the vendor who has taken this tender only cares for his money and not at all what the customers experiences. This is a paid service from IRCTC and must be taken care with utmost priority on cleaning, hygiene of the place and comfort for which the customers are paying. Here are some of the points which might help some of you: 1. All the sofas were dirty as hell like it never got cleaned ever since it was setup 2. Only one lady in the canteen to serve, clean and take orders 3. Flies were all around the place and floor was not getting cleaned even after repeatedly asking the supervisors. 4. Washrooms were stinking and had no hand wash. No one takes feedback seriously and no action even after complaining repeatedly #IndianRailway this is high time you take strict actions against your vendors.

Worst Lounge, not worth for money. They're charging 100 rupees for bath & waiting for an hour. The lounge is spacious, but they're having only 2 toilets & 1 shower room. And 2 wash basin. And it's almost same as the upper class waiting room by the Indian railways, which is free. And there is one more AC lounge, it's shown as closed for maintenance. It's not an executive lounge, cheap paid bathroom & toilets. And the worst part is you have to finish everything within 1 hour with this much passenger with 2 toilets & 1 bathroom

4 star for the initiative, but needed to maintain the setup. The area needed refurbishment. Charges are 60 per person for 1 hr and 100 with recliner facility.

Worst quality of food.. Sambhar quantity was very less . Waitress was cribbing to serve the food. No salt and no species are added in dosa and sambhar. Don't suggest to go any1. When i asked for menu he said can take any dosa of 65 and when i paid the bill he charged 80 rs and didn't show the menu.

Just ok experience considering the price and facilities. The seats were comfortable but not fully tidy. Only 2 toilets, 1 bathroom and 2 wash basins available. It's not so clean, not that dirty too. Can adjust for 1 time use if you're not much concerned. Normal sitting is 60β‚Ή per hour, recliner is 100β‚Ή per hour. Couldn't try food as it was midnight and no food was available. Very less mosquitoes than outside. AC was functioning. Can try if you're traveling and want to take a bath and wait for sometime. Expect the least then you may not be disappointed.

They have created a good space but forgot to furnish it properly. The seating is very normal and hard, difficult to sit for longer hrs and very straight that u can’t rest ur back. There is no eating facility 24/7 as they promised, coffee is the only thing available round the clock. I don’t know why the pricing is so high (100 and 60β‚Ή) compared to the other paid Ac facility (20β‚Ή) on the same premises. No issue r hand wash in the washroom and is average in maintenance. Only saving factor is the ambience of the place. The worst is the Manager of the place, who sits at the reception to collect money, nothing else. He is such a lazy guy guy that, he will ask the guest to sit where the Ac runs not at the comfort of the guest and more annoying is, he runs the TV at odd hrs disturbing the guests, very strange. Overall, a disastrous 4hr stay there costed me 240β‚Ή(including highly priced average coffee of 30β‚Ή).

Each service would cost as per tariff. Shower room is one per gender only and hence morning hours rush will hamper your plans and hence utilize the first opportunity to take shower whereas WC is two and hence there is some choice. No hot water but it was lukewarm. If you bring your own shower materials then charge is 100, if not then 150. Limited food facility is available. Have not tried the recliner facility yet.

This is no where a lounge like seen for IRCTC in New delhi . Just a AC waiting hall with cribbling infrastructure - not sure why IRCTC is calling it executive lounge. Its just a worst place- dirty washrooms ( more like roadside ) , worst conditions of toilets, doors and hygiene accessories. Purpose of going inside this must be clean washroom, good relaxing place to sit and refreshments but all this seems to be missing here. We had tea and idly here which was good- so for food still this could be okay. I would not recommend counting on this lounge for your needs.

Today April 21st, there is no water in washroom and ac not functioning. Restaurant has no water coming through wash basin. IRCTC must refund the amount of passengers who booked for 4 to 5 hours and needed the ac on a hot summer day.

  • 3/5 Ashok K. 1 year ago on Google
Mosquitoes are plenty, Musquitos machine refil is empty, floor cleaning is not good, manager is least bothered to supervise, liquid soap dispenser at wash basin is empty not bother. Don't know the higher people monitoring are not vigilante & bothered, irctc or RMD hotels & resorts management. If they continue they are going to spoil their goodwill.

Nice facility for passengers. Just like airport lounge. There is a restaurant also inside the lounge. Usual IRCTC food with decent service. We are happy with this facility at Madurai Junction. Today 11 11 2022 i came again. They charge Rs 60.00 per hour. But AC remains switched (of the three, only one was functioning. After my pointing out, they switched on one more AC. Is it not a deficiency in service?

I had a disappointing experience at the IRTC Executive Lounge in Madurai. There was no tea or coffee available, and they didn't provide any newspapers either. The bathroom and shower areas were below average in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it was a subpar experience, and I wouldn't recommend it to others.

Indian Railway initiated one of the executive IRCTC Lounges. Good initiative though. Similar to the airport lounge, some of the cards offer complementary access to the IRCTC Railway lounge. Charges are nominal, even if you don't have the listed credit cards. Many things for improvement- 1) Check-in/ entry process should be smooth. 2) washroom and changing rooms should be clean and well maintained. With the chargeable service, primary sanity and hygiene must be maintained. 3) Even for the standard meal time (lunch or dinner), no options were available. 4) Entry executive should clearly provide the info- which credit card offer complementary access or not. 5) Customer courtesy should be maintained. Because of IRCTC Executive lounge, there is no free AC lounge on Madurai Railway Station. At least for those with confirmed AC ticket, free AC lounge should be provided.

This is just a AC hall to wait till our train arrives. Basic things were not maintained properly here. Bathroom was in pathetic condition. Either flush was not working or door not locking. When they are providing a chargeable waiting hall they should maintain hygiene. Food was average, you can eat delicious food from somewhere else outside within same charges.

Full of mosquitoes. Never knew that for an hour charge of Rs. 60 you have to get bittten by mosquitoes . Toilet stinks and not clean at all. Very poor maintenance. There is no hand wash even in the toilets

For sitting it's ok.for food options worst.jaipur better. Kolkata is a little better.they are divided inside 3 categories.

Would rate only 3 star as they charge for all the services which we tale inside the lounge like Shower, Recliner extra cost, only AC with Seat we can expect. Nothing else. Also staff's are not knowledgeable of which all credit cards can offer Lounge Access to the customers. Even if customers give them lounge access card still the staff's are not accepting the same and sending the customers away, without even checking the card. Lots of things need to be improved.

Best Waiting and Relaxing place in one of the most crowded railway station. The environment inside the lounge is calm and eventhough there is heavy crowd bantering outside. They have plenty of comfortable seats and 4 recliner. Restrooms are neat and clean. Seating - Rs 60 per person for 1 Hour Recliner - Rs 100 per person for 1 Hour

It's worst, I didn't understand how it is being rated by public, may be one hour stay passengers might have felt convenient , I with y family total 5 staying in this since 4 hours, seating is worst, too inconvenient , giving you present status, fighting with mosquitoes, NO HAND WASH,saying it is dispenser problem, staff worst attitude. Worst worst worst.

They charge 100rs per person for short stop and bath. No toiletry is provided. Hot water is not available. Only 1 bathroom and 2 washrooms are available inside a room. 2 Dut If you are traveling with many people it's better to take a nearby hotel.

behavior is very rude they just asked when your train is arriving and billed me for that without my concern. When I suggested to edit it for one hour, the staff started yelling at me. Staff thinks that their father built this lounge and they can bill whatever they can, I suggest everyone instead of this go any of the restaurant they will greet you as guest.

Pathetic. I had booked the lounge for two persons on 15th February 2023 morning. The lounge was almost empty. Sofas had dirty upholstery, the toilets were not clean and even the mirrors in the washroom area were not kept clean. The restaurant inside the lounge was not open. The manager explained that sine no trains are allowed on platform no 1, the resturant is closed. However, when I later boarded my train to Bangalore on platform 1, I could make out the manager was lying. For breakfast, one has to go outside the railway station. Altogether, the experience was bad.

One of the main reasons for paying Rs.60 per hour is for clean toilets. The toilets are stinking, not clean. One toilet light not burning. Garbage not cleared. Waiting hall is spacious but sofas could be cleaner. The attached pantry has very limited choice.

I used the executive lounge with my family of 5 and the charges are β‚Ή60 per hour per person. The sofas and furnishings are years old and in very poor condition. The sofa fabric was very very dirty. The TV was switched off and when asked, I was told that only Hindi channels are available. Toilets were ok but smelled of urine. The place is also fested with mosquitoes. Overall, it is very poorly maintained.

The place is not as well maintained as shown in the images and written in the reviews. The food quality is Ok , not that great. The cost for sofas in the lounge for an hour of waiting is around 60 Rs per head. And for loungers it is 100Rs per hour. The retiring rooms are not that well maintained either. It is a bit pricey in my opinion.

We had an unforgettable experience. The staffs doesn't even have the basic courtesy to treat a customer. The food was worst to the core. Having the restaurant in South India, the chefs could not even make a dosa properly. They served the side dishes named chutney and sambar. Those were literally like coloured hot water. Atleast try to give some decent food for getting the money. Last but not the least, above all a lady servent who was complaining as we kept the luggages with us.Passengers will carry luggages and it's our duty to safeguard by keeping it with us . Behave properly and try to understand others feelings.Give respect and take respect.
