The calm atmosphere is very nice. It's a nice place to visit. Adjoining that there is a boat ride to an adjoining island which is good too.

This is closed as of Jan 2022 citing some renovation. The beach behind th memorial is very nice and good for families. Walk a little further from the rocks and you will get a good clean beach. Don't stay too late in the evening as the area is not well lit and you are a few kms away from the main road.

We visited this place in the morning and there was absolutely no one around except for another family like us. The memorial entrance fee is 15/- per head and photography is allowed in the premises and inside. This area is very peaceful as it is in the far secluded area from the main road. There is also a marine museum right next to it. The memorial houses the life and works of Swami Vivekananda in pictures and literature. The entrance is welcomed with Vivekanand's large statue with a big lotus like decoration on top.

Good place.Swami Vivekananda's preachings along with other information regarding his life and his foreign trips is neatly displayed. Another plus point here is the view from the back of the memorial. The memorial is right beside the sea and the view here is stunning.

Excellent experience. Quiet, serene. This is where Vivekananda landed after his famous Chicago USA address at the conference of all religions. Museum explains all of Vivekananda's words in very simple language too. Very scenic spot. Not able to visit inside , place temporarily closed for renovation

An inspiring place to visit, Rameswaram is filled with inspiration, but this one is epic. Vivekanandar started his journey towards Indian greatness from here, this place has very good references to it. The place is neatly maintained and is a very good spot for anyone.

This is a memorial for swami Vivekananda, was built in this beach for commemorate his return to the India on January 26,1897 after his participation in “world parliament of Religions” held in Chigaco, America. The memorial was inaugurated on January 26,2010. Before that there was a pillar in this place in the remembrance of swami Vivekananda. There is a 6 foot statue of swami Vivekananda with Ramanathapura king Baskara Sethupathi (1889 to 1903) is kept inside this memorial (King Baskara Sethupathi is the sponsor of Vivekananda’s visit to The parliament of world religions held in Chicago) with in this memorial there is a meditation hall and a spiritual library....

The place is between Rameshwaram and Pamban Bridge and around 2 to 3 kms away from NH..But the roads leading to this place is pretty good. The memorial house was built to commemorate the return of Swami Vivekananda to India on 1897 'The Parliament of World Religions' in Chicago. There is a meditation room inside and sound and light show at evening.. We visited this place during morning and could experience a serene and peaceful environment at the memorial hall as well as the calm and clean beach behind it.. If you want a boat ride there are small boats with proper security measures to a small island nearby which might take an hour or so for the complete journey.

This Memorial situated near Pamban, on the shore beachKunthukal. This place is called Kunthukal as the King Sethupathi received Swami Vivekananda here after he returned from foreign. The building is designed well and an entrance fee ₹5 is collected. The beach view from the upstairs is beautiful. Also there a way to reach the beach. A clean and waveless beach where we can enjoy with kids.

Four of us visited the memorial. Better to start early and reach the counter by 8:00 am. There are two options 50rs per person and 200rs. 200 per person. Cheaper option has a long que. 200rs option has a lesser que and can board in the first available boat.

A quieter location conpared to other places around. Serene and calm area with a children's play area. A single shop offers condiments, nothing fancy. The beach behind also has trees offering shade and a blue green ocean with white sand. The history associated with the place makes it even more interesting. Recommended time to visit would be in the evening.

Swami Vivekananda was received by Sethupathi king after his famous Chicago speech via Sri Lanka in Kunthukal beach. Nice memorial house that depicts Swami Vivekananda spiritual tour with colourful gopuram. Statue of Vivekananda is majestic! There is statue for Raja Baskara Sethupathi as well. Near by you can find a small Museum about Gulf of Mannar marine flora & fauna!

Overall good spot to halt. Vivekananda's memorial was good, neat and clean. Very less crowd since little away from main tourist attractions. They have sea museum also, good for kids to gain knowledge about sea world. Access to beach which was really good to spend some quality time, beach was clean again being away from tourists. Washrooms are there but no washbasin or tap. Good to spend 30 minutes to one hour.

Unable to give more than a 5 STAR rating....A must visit for anyone visiting or staying in and around Rameswaram, seems not many know about the Audio and Video show that starts around 6.45 PM, in one word "breathtaking". The ~20 min show leverages the best in class projectors and sound systems to give a glimpse of Swami Vivekananda, Ramayana and the birth of Rameswaram. Open air amphitheater seating is arranged right opposite the memorial building onto which the animated show is projected. Once the lights are off and the show begins under the darkest skies, you are on the way to one of the best AV shows in India. Music by the Maestro Ilayaraja and singers Hariharan, Khailash Kher and others are simply superb. The bommalattam based animation and graphics are just astounding. Mr. Suresh who takes care of the memorial is just extraordinary, a very helpful person. We reached this place around 5 PM, completed our tour and were leaving, this is when Mr. Suresh asked us to stay back and told us about the show, we stayed back without knowing whats on the offer, its just four of us and he insisted that we stay back and go through the experience. The show was played even though there are hardly 5-6 people, I wish there was a crowd to have a uniquely collective experience... please do not miss this and let others also know by spreading the word.

Its a historical place. Vivekananda Memorial Hall is located on the shores of Kunthukal Beach near Pamban. The crystal clear blue sea water with moderate tides makes this beach awesome. The Memorial was inaugurated on January 26, 2010. Before the memorial was built, the place had a pillar in remembrance of Swami Vivekananda. The memorial houses a 6-foot statue of Swami Vivekananda with Ramanathapuram King Baskara Sethupathi who had sponsored his visit to Chicago. The Memorial also has a spiritual library and meditation hall. A small museum is there which is very informative. Parking facility, bathrooms available. Entrance/parking fee will be charged which is very nominal.

Peaceful and serene. The entrance hall has a statue of Swami Vivekanand. There are 2 photo galleries and a meditation room. It's a simple, no frills place. Doesn't get many visitors, probably because of lack of interest in Swamiji. We were glad to have an insight into his life but most of the information is easily available in books and the internet. More thought is required to make it relevant to the present generation. There is a small building containing 3D models of sea creatures next door. This can be developed more too.

Memorial is surrounded by calm and Untouched golden sand covers the floor as far as your eyes can see. unlike many popular beaches they are not the beach is not know for holidaymakers hence you can enjoy if you take yourself alone for places.
