Must see location at RJPM. There will be a trek into deep forest and a Waterfall at the end. You are free to take bath. Families are much welcomed...! The best time to visit is November to January. Trek for short time period (Very easy). Take auto if you came by public transport. Bike and car can be park at the best place where you get shadow from the sunlight. Must check If there water flowing. Otherwise you got mocked...!

The Grizzled Squirrel Wildlife Sanctuary (GSWS), also known as Srivilliputhur Wildlife Sanctuary, was established in 1988 to protect the Near threatened grizzled giant squirrel (Ratufa macroura). Occupying an area of 485.2 km2, it is bordered on the southwest by the Periyar Tiger Reserve and is one of the best preserved forests south of the Palghat Gap. The sanctuary covers 485 square kilometres (187 sq mi) in western Tamil Nadu, South India in the eastern water-shed of the Western Ghats and consists of high hills and valleys, with a number of peaks reaching up to 1,800 metres (5,900 ft).

Went to the Mahalingam Temple here. It was great to connect with nature. Only during Full moon and No moon day we can visit temple. The path to the temple is covered with lush green trees and bushes and waterfalls. Be aware of the animals, cuz we saw fresh loads of elephant dung.

One of the best places to visit near Watrap, Srivilliputtur. Can experience the native vibes and if the season is right you could get fresh mangoes from the garden.

I am basically interested in wild life photography. I went there with much expectations. But after reaching the place the forest guard didnt allowed me to take camera . They said that the place being a tiger reserve you are no one is allowed to use camera in there. I was thoroughly disappointed and for you guys if any one carrying camera with you , please leave it behind your vehicle . You are just allowed to watch it only.

Nice nature forest/park near srivilliputtur. This place can be reached through Auto from srivilliputtur bus stand. The trail starting from Shenbagathoppu leads to the Kaatalagar temple. It is a 4 km walk to the temple. But the temple is open only in the weekends and so people are also allowed only during weekends. There is water flowing in the streams during rainy season.

A very scenic & serine place for nature lovers, trecking interested & Lord Siva devotees Sadhuragiri trecking is one of the important must visit place in Tamilnadu Since it's under reserve forest range, entry is restricted to specific dates like Pradhosham to next day of Amavasya & Pradhosham to next day of Pournami Since this trecking route crosses through many forest stream, during rainy days entry is not permitted

Good excercise for foot and body apart from enjoying Natural bliss when you walk up and down to Saduragiri Sunadara mahalingam temple..Only carry 2L water not food..You have enough stalls to buy seasonal fruits ..Care about hungry Monkeys before it fetch your food..
