Rameshwaram railway station is very neat and clean. It is a small station compared with other stations in Tamilnadu. Devotees and travellers from all over the world come here to enjoy the sea , beach and the great Ramanatha Swamy Temple. Facilities are excellent. Water, cloakroom, washrooms, food all available here. Connectivity outside the station is so good.

Dwadash jyotirlinga and one of the four dhams of hindus, shivlinga darshan is cant describe in words , must take jal of all 22 kundas in temple. Dhanushkodi is around 23 kms , must visit place . Floating stones and baan ganga are other few famous temples. Can take bath at agneetiratham which is very holy and sunrise is remarkable

Rameswaram railway station is a railway terminus serving the town of Rameswaram located on the Rameswaram Island in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. It belongs to the Madurai railway division and is an important terminal of the Southern Railway zone.

The last station of Southern India. Falling Under Madurai Division of Southern Railway this is a Terminal Station. There are 5 platforms. There are Retiring Rooms as well as Waiting Hall. Coach Indicator Boards are present as well. Autos charge ₹50 minimum for travel. Tip: if you want to visit/see Pamban Bridge catch the Madurai Passenger at 5:40 till Mandapam and return by Local bus.

Rameshwaram is known for Rameshwarar temple, dhanuskodi and A.P.J Abdul kalam. Placed to visit: Rameshwar temple, Pamban Bridge, Dhanuskodi, Abdul kalam memorial.

Good place with lots of attractive places and locations. Abdul Kalam house, Ramar temples, Anuman Temples, Seetha temple are there. Pamban bridge and Danuahkoti both are both very famous places. From Danuahkoti to Srilanka is just 15/KM.

Nice place to visit, I have visited there as a solo traveler, hardly faced any challenge. Locals are too good and helpful. Worth visiting this place. Dont miss sunrise and Kalam memorial

New bridge on Pamban is being constructed and electrification is in progress. Will open on an years time. Buses are available from Mandapam to Rameshwaram Temple fare 25/- (no consession) Cheers

A well maintained and clean platform railway station. Ac waiting hall with small price available here. Foods are very good. I visited one week ago. Auto small car are available there. Hotel also very near to stay.

Visiting here is a great feeling. To feel the presence of once lived avengers of our history headed by avatar Ram. Where the epic battle of ramayana began from.

The station links the pilgrim town as well as the rest of the island to the mainland via the highly acclaimed Pamban Rail Bridge.There are four platforms, seven railway tracks, and two pitlines within the station.

A unique railway station by the fact that this is the last station on this part of landmass. The building is beautiful and is well maintained by Railways. The station is well equipped with rest rooms, retiring rooms and other facilities. Presently the services are stopped due to maintenance work at Pamban Bridge. But generally many trains are connected with this terminal.

It's very near to Rameswaram temple around 1Km and 20 min by walkable distance. Station is very opened and cleaned. I travelled by The local train which was from Rameswaram to Madurai. I saw the cleaners are cleaning the all bogii/coaches, i was shocked they were cleaning the seats also. This makes me more happy and kudos to Rameswaram IRCTC cleaning team for your efforts. And making station beautiful.

It's an amazing pilgrimage spot .. no doubt about it .. but .. the streets are full of dump and flies everywhere.. book a place nearby the temple and enjoy ur pilgrimage ..
