Rameswaram Bus Stand

Bus station

😠 Extremely difficult to travel.. each and every board on bus or sign boards are written in Tamil and i respect there mother tongue, but the place is full of tourists who don't even know "T" of Tamil. It would be so helpful if they add english as a sub language. People often mention buses, madurai,

Rameshwaram Bus Stand is in the heart if Rameshwaram. From here you can get buses to Kanyakumari, Madurai and other places. I was there at night so didn't take much pictures. People here were polite and friendly.

One of the beautiful places in my country India, and the village of 11th President of India Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Must go here to see the nearest district to Sri Lanka; a very beautiful scene of nature, excellent climate, fully enjoying with sea, coconut trees, wind and sunshine passing by Pamban Bridge.

Tamilnadu traffic facilities looks better than some North state. Good waiting room for buses At every Bus stops there are enough space for buses beside the road so that rest movement couldn't get affected.

Quite far from the Temple. But local buses available at regular frequency to the temple. Conductors usually prefer to converse in Tamil but the localites are very cooperative and help out in explaining or providing the requested details. Buses also available to Madurai. Look out for buses that say 1 to 1 or something like that which are direct non stop. Regular buses usually travel to all towns and can take close to 4hrs All buses have boards only in Tamil and there is no English boards. Results from Google Translate through camera scan also not very reliable. So have to depend on asking the localites

Rameshwaram bus station is a small bus station. Here you can go to other cities with buses. Facilities are average.
